- Kingmichael, on 10/12/2007, -2/+20How did the uploader upload a 95 minute movie on YouTube?
- ybdetsop, on 10/12/2007, -4/+20I think you'd better not watch such a masterpiece in that miserable format. The sound mix deserves a decent 5.1 high powered sound system and while the visual aspects are a lot less impressive than say LotR, at least watch it on a video output device that doesn't degrade the experience. YouTube just doesn't cut it in this case. It's would be like watching Jan Van Eyck's Adoration of the Mystic Lamb on a 120x120 cellphone screen.
- cm32438, on 10/12/2007, -1/+15Go buy the DVD...much better resolution
- KyleMistry, on 10/12/2007, -0/+12Being the awesome math-type personmathingy that I am, I have conductified an equation for this partiurlum articlaw.
The Wall + YouTube = Not to be viewed.
Of course, watching the Wall on DVD...that's a whole different story right there. - arapro, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11thanks bro /
illegal but great /
shine on // - whiskeyclone, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9Videos uploaded by users with a Director Account can be as long/large as you like: http://www.youtube.com/director
- markos, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7"One of the few films"
You don't watch very many movies, do you? - oOLiquidNightOo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6the remaking of the wall would seem, hypocritical.
- steelmaverick, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8Yeah, conisdering they have a 10 min cap!
- Araya213, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6I've seen it both ways, on strong acid, it's hard to make sense of it. Of course it's more fun because, your on ***** acid, everything's more fun.
- truax, on 10/12/2007, -3/+8no, youtube just took it down because it was illegal
- FredSanford, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6There was no Beatles Sargent Pepper movie. That was a Robert Stigwood production featuring the Bee Gees and Peter Frampton. It was horrible. Possibly one of the worst movies ever. The Beatles refused to participate.
- xswag, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4I knew that was going to happen as soon as I saw the Digg article.
- treymdnc, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Video was removed for copyright infringment.
- green1152, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4All I gotta say is buy it on DVD.. it's so much better when it's not on Youtube.. hah.
- PSPon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3looks like we got some RIAA that read Digg.
- knellotron, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Why would an anti-war message be inappropriate? Call me crazy, but I think messages supporting war and violence should be considered inappropriate for children, if not all humankind.
It looks like about half of this movie is Koyaanisqatsi anyway. - rasbill, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3i wonders how many people are digging this even though its been removed
- easycheez, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3
11 - oOLiquidNightOo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4anyone who tries to watch the wall the first time on youtube is really selling the experience short.
the movie's not for everyone but if you enjoy pink floyd it's definitely worth your taking the time to either rent or purchase the dvd and watching it.
there's also a couple of songs (gems actually) in the movie that were not on the album. - UltraPope, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Antiwar is never a bad message. Got a non-GV-source (original upload file).
At any rate, I think the boys who made the music wouldn't mind their music being used like this. Have you perchance heard mr. Waters' "What God Wants"?

Anyway, who/what/where is Koyaanisqatsi? - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3here's a bunch of torrents because the youtube quality is crap and it's been removed anyway.

I own the dvd and it's a great film with great music. - jawadde, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4how can anyone digg this comment down ???????
he is 187627861% right (give or take 3%) !
in fact, youtube is good enough for anything not worth any money. As soon as the content becomes valuable, i strongly suggest you find higher res & quality sources ! - whiskeyclone, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3^was cut off before I could edit:
Becoming a 'director' is free, so it is reasonable to assume there is a way of canceling the director rights on your account when you want. So I guess you could set up an account, get director rights, upload a massive file, then remove the director rights yourself - leaving you with a standard account with a large file under your profile.
The fact this guy has only posted one video since Feb '06 suggests this account was set up just to upload that video, then cut and run. - tastypastry, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5*****, I saw it on acid and it was great.
- Schug, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Uh-oh! It's "defiantly" worth watching.
- rhizome, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4Besides, does the world /need/ more Pink Floyd fans? It's like posting a Beatles song with a summary "OMG If you don't know who the Beatles are this is a great place to start!!!!!"
- ntwrkguy, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3seems that all digg users are against acid...
- Bobski, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2"Defiantly worth watching"
I will definitely be watching this defiantly! - Rollo_Tomasi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2i would not like it to be remade, but i agree with your comment. that's why most folks told me growing up to watch it w/ my "mind altered"...although i never did it this way, being a HUGE floyd fan i loved it with all of its flaws....
instead of this, how about the live version of the wall concert get on here, i'd be more interested in seeing that b/c it's not been available for 20 years like this movie... - displaynone, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2What I meant was the one with the "Blue Meanies"
- FluffyArmada, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Darn it. You got me all excited! I'm listening to "the Wall" right now. :)
- DougieD, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2That was a good video. Thanks.
- astrotrain, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Just buy it or put it on your wish list:

- yukevster, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Is this still here? Get it off Digg.
- MBHoy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1This video has been removed due to copyright infringement.
BURY IT! Great film, mind. - chaosmachine, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1excellent work. i hope more people watch this.
- artofwar420, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2"This video has been removed due to copyright infringement."
Motherfudgers! - carebearwarrior, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1It's still a great song, and a great video.
At the very least, digging will pique some curiousity with the non-Pink Floyd fans, and for the Pink Floyd fans, it will jog our memories of the video. I hadn't actually seen it for quite some time, so I was glad to see it on here. - moebis, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1@robbf23: Thanks for the other link, Live at Pompeii was incredible. This is the kind of stuff we need on iTunes music/movie store. ;-)
- kryptonitekatt, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1@UltraPope, in response to "Anyway, who/what/where is Koyaanisqatsi?":
from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Koyaanisqatsi
Koyaanisqatsi: Life out of balance is a 1983 documentary film directed by Godfrey Reggio with music composed by minimalist composer Philip Glass and cinematography by Ron Fricke. The film consists mostly of slow motion and time-lapse photography. The documentary contains no narration and relies heavily on music to set the film's tone.
(not that I alreadyknew this; I looked it up out of curiosity) - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Now all we need is Live at Pompeii
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1yes, it has been removed, but a quick search on youtube is a testament to the **aa's losing battle
- xswag, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Someone said that the Directors Account allows you to upload larger videos. Its a free account also.
- diggdong, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I can't get over the whole mirror shaving sence... bad trip
- DAC1138, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Looks like someone needs to make use of the spellchecker. Since when is "definatly" a word?
- displaynone, on 10/12/2007, -4/+4Great, Now has anyone seen The Beatles - Sargent Peppers movie on youtube?
