- baggio, on 07/16/2009, -3/+40Such a blantant ripoff McCartney! Ripping of the Simpsons episode where Homer and the B Sharps play on top of the building. For shame, Paul. Find something original to do!
- FOR3MAN, on 07/16/2009, -2/+30Only one celebrity death would trump Michael Jackson, and he is it. Watch your step up there Paul.
- RandomEyes, on 07/16/2009, -1/+22I was lucky enough to be there. AMAZING
- ViperCTW, on 07/16/2009, -1/+21One thing I've always liked about McCartney is his desire to perform live. He doesn't just trot out on stage whenever he has a new album and phone in a short performance. He goes out, gives it his all, and seems to genuinely enjoy it.
- ethanlong, on 07/16/2009, -3/+17It would be cool if him, Ringo, Sean (or Julian), and Dhani played shows under a pseudonym in small clubs around the world.
- tomarocco, on 07/16/2009, -0/+13Take that, Gen Y.
- Subduction, on 07/16/2009, -1/+10It looks like they're really working hard to try to bury Conan.
- amercer, on 07/16/2009, -0/+7Just saw him in Halifax and he was AMAZING. Played more Beatles songs than anything else, he knows what we want to hear! Just one of the vids that I took there:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rAIZCp8dqC8 - firewall1, on 07/16/2009, -0/+7Exactly, I was thinking the same thing watching him. He does not need to perform, hasn't had to perform since 1970, but he still rocks out.
It's not like he's exactly hurting for cash, even after that vile whore of an ex-wife. - bryantee, on 07/16/2009, -2/+8Who dugg that down?!! Honestly.
- ethanlong, on 07/16/2009, -2/+7To whoever dugg this down *wooooshhhhhhh* i think something just went over your head.
- ninjasandshiz, on 07/16/2009, -1/+6Makes me feel all fuzzy inside.
- TrevorPace, on 07/17/2009, -0/+4I also saw him in Halifax. Absolutely amazing show. What an amazing performer even in his 60's.
Best show I've ever seen. - evil-doer, on 07/16/2009, -1/+5wow that was amazing.
- alais, on 07/16/2009, -0/+4One of the coolest things I've seen in a long time, rock on macca
- Darkangel754, on 07/17/2009, -0/+4I saw him a few days ago in Halifax, it was amazing.
- gibson85, on 07/17/2009, -0/+4I would like to say thank you on behalf of the group and ourselves and I hope we've passed the audition
- solid12345, on 07/16/2009, -1/+5Still waiting on a Beatles reunion, damn Yoko Ono is still keeping John away from the group!
- seinfeld42, on 07/16/2009, -0/+4I suppose you do need a bright shirt on top of a roof - you need to be seen! [shudders] :P lol
P.S. Helter Skelter - what a tune! "I've got blisters on my fingers!!" - CarStan, on 07/16/2009, -0/+4if his death won't get at least half the media attention jacko did, something is really wrong with the world
- miraclemaxim, on 07/16/2009, -3/+7bah paul > john!
- monodelasno, on 07/16/2009, -1/+5Micheal had to buy Beatles songs to be cool.
- cjr71244, on 07/17/2009, -0/+3if you could have chose the 5 songs he would have played here what would they have been?
- contradictator, on 07/17/2009, -0/+3Man, he can still belt out Helter Skelter and Back in the USSR pretty damn well.
- TheIndigoSky, on 07/16/2009, -4/+7Beatles > Lennon (Solo) > McCartney (Solo) > Elvis > MJ
- 312139, on 07/16/2009, -0/+3That's interesting ethanlong, I rather enjoy Memory Almost Full. Mainly Ever Present Past and Dance Tonight are my favorites on the album. I saw a concert he did to promote Chaos and Creation[...], it was really cool because he played a lot of Beatles songs too. How cool would it be to meet the man himself?
- mustache, on 07/16/2009, -0/+2I can tell you right now it wont. The reason why everyone is so fascinated with MJ is that he was such an enigma, and his story is a pretty tragic tale of rise and fall. He was this huge huge star all across the world, but no one really knew anything about him really. Paul is a much more seemingly normal individual and his death, while it won't go unnoticed for sure, won't see near the level of attention that MJ has gotten unfortunately IMO.
- KittySpark1es, on 07/16/2009, -0/+2He's looking good for 67.
- ButterBuddha, on 07/16/2009, -0/+2What comes to mind is the Simpsons episode, Homer's Barbershop Quartet. The part where George Harrison says "It's been done before..."
- Pugmonkeys, on 07/16/2009, -0/+2I was there too, shocked we didn't run into each other.
- rmejia, on 07/16/2009, -0/+2That was awesome.
- nmcphee, on 07/17/2009, -0/+2I was there too. I heard it was the first time since the Beatles broke up that Paul played Daytripper live.
- cjr71244, on 07/17/2009, -0/+2let em in
promise to you girl
no more lonely nights
say say say
saw her standing there - Bungiechord, on 07/17/2009, -0/+2Man, 45 years...
- Bungiechord, on 07/17/2009, -0/+2Oh and his funeral better be bigger than ***** Michael's.
- Rewgreen, on 07/16/2009, -0/+2You can have no idea just how I envy you. That was AMAZING.
- RatatRatR, on 07/16/2009, -1/+2I agree with you about the strength of the albums, but this performance was still very cool.
- andergriff, on 07/17/2009, -1/+2Some people never grow up...nor their fans.
- lololol1, on 07/16/2009, -1/+2I only caught the beginning of Letterman last night. Didn't know it was such a big deal. Awesome!
- MrFisty, on 07/16/2009, -1/+2And Gen X for that matter. The guy's a Baby Boomer.
- m4csrgh3yk3v, on 07/18/2009, -0/+1buried.....U2 did that years before the Simpsons.
- xcrico, on 07/16/2009, -1/+2Beatles > MJ = Lennon = McCartney = Elvis >>>>>>>>>>>> everyone else
- beatlemaniac007, on 07/17/2009, -0/+1argue all you want about lennon vs. mccartney. but the BEATLES are greater than any entity of any kind. Elvis and MJ...wtf are you thinking. They had good voice and good dance moves but musical creativity and innovation wise get a clue.
- TrevorPace, on 07/17/2009, -0/+1I'm only going to assume you know why George Harrison said that...
But yeah definitely reminded me of that. - LukeBeaumont, on 07/17/2009, -0/+1Personally I am a Paul and George fan. John and Ringo were the average songwriters. Each to their own.
- SkippyDoorknob, on 07/16/2009, -1/+1When will the Ruttles be playing?
- ethanlong, on 07/16/2009, -1/+1Chaos and Creation in the Backyard was one of the best albums he's ever done. Too bad the follow up had to be Memory Almost Full, I didn't like that one much.
- TomLaw1998, on 07/16/2009, -2/+1Wow- just wow ................................
- mightycbu, on 07/16/2009, -4/+2well, he's just not John Lennon!
- 4AntiStupid, on 07/16/2009, -2/+0Didn't make it through the commercial.
