It's all 320K audio and FLAC as opposed to the sorry 128K you get on itunes and people who say they can tell the difference betwen 320 and CD Wavs are lying... I'm a musician and I certainly can't... And DRM free so I can load my downloads onto my sony mp3 player, my nokia phone and my ipod (I have no idea why I still use all three, but it works for me) and burn nice compilation CDs, which makes a refreshing change from the depressing itunes hegemony. Actually this site blows itunes' classical section out of the water but that's not particularly hard.
I'm not dissing mp3s for beats stuff - pop can take the compression if you don't mind a little high frequency hiss - but squashing classical audio to 128 doesn't work.
This site seems to have got the major labels and the main indie labels on board too so it's a massive catalogue you can listen to for free - so you can compare recordings of the Matthew Passion or whatever floats your boat.
