- salimai, on 10/11/2007, -22/+183Whether or not you like Panic! at the Disco (or 50 cent for that matter), I think you should still be able to agree that if you don't like the music, why ruin it for the rest of the people who are there presumably because they do?
Seems like it would make more sense to just not pay to be there in the first place... - kaelyiesta, on 10/11/2007, -4/+123how a true rocker handles hostiles: http://youtube.com/watch?v=6CLXK4ctVwI
- JohnC86, on 10/11/2007, -17/+107Whether you like the band or not, throwing bottles at people is not cool.
- zykt0n, on 10/11/2007, -3/+89Thats Reading Festival 2005 England, before anyone asks, and if you think thats bad, you should see what happened to 50 cent at the same festival!..... BOTTLED! >> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SWvvF95ju9k
- Cobainy, on 10/11/2007, -13/+79Great, ***** great.
They now have new material to write about. - MetalUnderShock, on 10/11/2007, -12/+74I do not like Panic! At the Disco, but throwing something at a performer, thats the most ***** thing to do. They are on stage to put on a show for You! Would you slap your doctor for trying to take your temperature? It's the same thing for them... I hope the found that guy, and I hope the crowd got to him first.
- azrasta, on 10/11/2007, -4/+46@MetalUnderShock: "Would you slap your doctor for trying to take your temperature"
No, but I would spank the nurse ;) - GMorgan, on 10/11/2007, -7/+44That was Reading, you know a rock festival. Whoever on earth decided that 50 Cent at Reading was a good idea needs shooting. May as well invite Dubya Bush to hold a rally in the middle of Tehran.
It's not the worse though. I'm sure Daphne and Celeste (don't ask) were at one of the big rock festivals one year, felt sorry for them since they were so obviously going to get bottled. - mousy, on 10/11/2007, -2/+36@MetalUnderShock
depends how he was trying to get my temperature.... - IKEARiot, on 10/11/2007, -8/+40@GMorgan
Lol. Dugg for mentioning a band who haven't released a good record since 1988, if ever. - Hemingrubbish, on 10/11/2007, -1/+30tidier:

Did we watch the same video? I heard the crowd cheering when he was taken down. - Wonkanobi, on 10/11/2007, -8/+33And the band continues to play?
- VoraciousPanda, on 10/11/2007, -5/+24@GMorgan
If being an ***** is standard practice at British rock festivals, I think I'll just stick to seeing American shows. - Aliasing, on 10/11/2007, -36/+55***** audience, bastards should have thrown a grenade spared us their *****.

Onstage, David Yow from the Jesus Lizard takes a bottle to the side of the head in this clip at :49

He needs about 2 mins to recover, drink some more, insult the guy who threw it, and start their song over -- instead of storming off like cupcake prima donnas. - gr3yn3t, on 10/11/2007, -4/+18I almost passed out watching that shakey camera..
- salimai, on 10/11/2007, -5/+19@cobainy
You're definitely entitled to that opinion, and you'll find plenty of people who will wholeheartedly agree with you. The video is proof enough of that. But if you feel so negatively toward the musician, it just doesn't make sense to subject yourself to their music - and worse, to pay to do so.
As a musician in a mildly popular band myself, I understand there are plenty of people out there who would be disgusted by the music I make. Everyone has different tastes and everyone judges the quality of music differently. I would definitely prefer that those who don't like the music I make just don't come to my shows and disrupt things for those who do enjoy it, though.
It's not at all a matter of whether or not the music is good, it's a matter of whether or not you're going to ruin other people's experience for absolutely no real reason. - jackpot, on 10/11/2007, -6/+18Geez, he dropped faster than a bad habit. Was the bottle full of lead?
- foxymcfox, on 10/11/2007, -7/+18Look, I'm not condoning the throwing of bottles at people who may or may not have talent, but that bottle clearly hit him on the shoulder. How the hell do you get knocked out from a hit on the shoulder?! It might hurt, but you're not going to fall to the ground like that. This guy needs to grow some balls and keep rocking. After all, that's what he's paid to do.
- DDRSkata, on 10/11/2007, -4/+14Bottling is not cool at all.
- illuuu, on 10/11/2007, -0/+9They did continue to play. That video didn't capture the whole incident.
"Panic! At The Disco frontman Brendan Urie was hit by a bottle seconds into his band's set on the Main Stage at the Carling Weekend: Reading Festival this afternoon (August 25). Playing opening song 'The Only Difference Between Suicide And Martyrdom Is Press Coverage', the singer was struck in the face by a missle thrown from the crowd.
Urie immediately collapsed to the floor, forcing his group to stop the song.
The singer was then surrounded by his bandmates and roadies for several minutes before he managed to get back to his feet.
"You can't take me out," Urie shouted to the crowd, before adding "Lets see how well you guys do with my left side."
Panic! At The Disco then continued their set, picking up the opener at the exact point where they had suddenly stopped.
The rest of the group's set passed more sedately including the likes of 'I Write Sins Not Tragedies', 'Camisado' and Radiohead cover 'Karma Police' (NME)."

I'll hit you in the head with a bottle and we'll all have a laugh at your pussy ass droppin' from a cheap shot.
Worst band ever. The only thing lamer than Panic! is the dude who threw the bottle. Pussy.
From this and the 50 Cent vid, Im quickly learning that apparently the "Brits" are ***** weak cheap shot artists... Man up. - DropTheOxygen, on 10/11/2007, -1/+9My Chemical Romance bottled: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XO4QsQxcpjk

- panic, on 10/11/2007, -5/+12Maynard from Tool won't do concerts where there are crowds in front of the stage (that aren't seated) anymore because he got hit by something, too. I think a shoe...
- marlonmunsen, on 10/11/2007, -3/+10Holy ***** that was unbearable. Unbelievably bad. Who did these guys blow to get a record deal? ***** a plastic bottle tossed from afar - as I watched that clip I couldn't help fantasizing about glassing that whiny, untalented ***** with a pintglass to the mouth, Trainspotting style.
- Gatesophile, on 10/11/2007, -2/+8Oh my god please kill me. They butchered that song.

"Maynard from Tool won't do concerts where there are crowds in front of the stage (that aren't seated) anymore because he got hit by something, too. I think a shoe..."
sure he does, i was just at a concert in pensacola on friday, he was maybe 10-15 feet from everyone (there were no seats on the floor). at one point he even came to the edge of the stage and tossed a big bag of popcorn into the crowd - stonewaljacksn, on 10/11/2007, -6/+13What a pussy.
- m0d3s7m1k3, on 10/11/2007, -5/+11Very disrespectful. When did "boooo" go out of style? (Not a fan of Panic! nor undeserving violence.)
- Sazime, on 10/11/2007, -4/+9My god, violence is so funny! I once pushed a kid in front of a moving vehicle and he got toally pwn'd! lol
***** morons. - madcreator, on 10/11/2007, -1/+6Link to a wikipedia article about the history of bottling and a list of some past incidents.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bottled - AdamWillis, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5It's just his style of music. Doesn't mean he is actually emo. I went to school and skated with Brendan in junior high and high school. He is a really cool guy and if emo is so sucky, then why is it so popular and these guys making so much money off it. Don't hate the band, hate the people who support it. maybe if they weren't supported you probably would never hear it.
- ersatzphi, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5I watched the video several times and to me it looks like it hit him in the shoulder.
