- loljews, on 10/12/2007, -2/+22We could really use another kurt cobain nowadays cause music sucks balls.
- FishPoisonCon, on 10/12/2007, -3/+18that should say 93...
- notorious., on 10/12/2007, -1/+15This should've been on the box set
- hybrid8, on 10/12/2007, -2/+13there was alot of legal bull ***** with that box set, shall we thank courtney for that
- knightblade2oo4, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10I have this CD. Really a good performance. Thanks for the video.
- jragon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9I remember talking to a friend the next morning, because his dad was in the audience.
Him: "Guess what?"
Me: "Oh god, they sucked, didn't they?"
Him: "No, it was good."
Me: "Really?"
Him: "Yeah, it was really really really good. A classic." - Cine, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8Great! I've always wanted to see the unedited one. Unplugged In New York is a fantastic CD, by the way.
- Cine, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7Why are people digging this guy down? He's right - the performance was in 1993, not 1994 as the description claims. Kurt was already dead by November 94.
- FishPoisonCon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6ktchpmn: it was funny to watch the audience members act like tools at the beginning when they were all clapping.
you do realize that they were trying to get levels for the audience mics, right? tools, indeed!
TheKingInYellow: if this is unedited why are there jump cuts and multiple cameras? ....oh kurt, you're so humble.
if you watch it again, you might notice that the performance itself is unedited. after doing that, read the title again and maybe it will make more sense to you. also, i believe the "most people dont own it" comment was referring to the bulk of people who thought nevermind was nirvana's first record... - omninode, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6I have waited ~10 years to see this video. This is why I love the internet.
- sldSquirrel, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6Sorry for the double comment - edit time ran out.

- DarthBrady, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5i'm normally not for pirating Nirvana material, but seeing that Courtney Love screwed us out of getting this on DVD anyway, I say HEll yeah! Spread this far and wide!
- jonesin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4I miss Kurt. Great find.
- IvanB, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4I'll upload one day their Reading '92 performance. Really good.
- jeromeerome, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4This is great! With all the DVDs that come with audio CDs these days I think Nirvana should re-release a special edition of the NY Unplugged series that includes a high quality DVD video of the performance. The best thing I have in my personal collection is the MTV broadcast they re-aired a few years ago. I saved it to MPEG2 on my computer and made my own custom DVD.
- alexcount, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4well it's still in my clipboard so for the windows users

- BrotherJ, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Ah, the days of flannel shirts and pimples.
- phimu227, on 10/12/2007, -3/+6what an old school flash back. I miss the days of long hair and flannel shirts
- FishPoisonCon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3glad this doing well - ive had this file for a couple years, and just realized that i could uL to goovid... i remember back in 94/95 how this vid reached mythical status - everyone said it existed but no one could produce a copy of it - so, i figured it was my "duty" to share this with everyone i can. btw, is that alice cooper in the audience?(~ :58).
ALSO: could a mod or someone change the date to 1993??? i changed it on the google page, but ive noticed people are just copy/pasting the date from here. - dmron, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2This was a great performance, too bad the quality of the video is so poor. Stupid VHS tapes... :)
- jragon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Yeah, I have the entire PJ unedted. It even has the timecode at the bottom.
- TheKingInYellow, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2if this is unedited why are there jump cuts and multiple cameras?
"this is on our first record, most people don't own it."
oh kurt, you're so humble. - silfo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2thanks mate..
that's a sight for sore eyes - mhike, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2great find! To download other formats...
http://videodownloader.net/get/?url=http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-3034413718591991713 - twoblackeyes, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I had the MTV broadcast on VHS but I accidentally taped over it. That was a rough day. Very awesome find here. Why this hasn't yet been released to DVD is completely baffling.
It's unedited in the sense that the gaps between songs are preserved, etc. Duh. - rowlodge, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1i dont know why i never downloaded those songs.
- qwertywatcher, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1yeah quality sucks but it still is a great find
- sldSquirrel, on 10/12/2007, -3/+4I love Kurt's offscreen antics.
- teenwolf, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3you are so right about flannel shirts
- hybrid8, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1what about Alice in Chains?
- marksy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1@ gally
try vlc (www.videolan.org) supports most OS - cosmiq, on 09/08/2009, -0/+1umm i wish they had not removed this video!
- acklefutz, on 02/21/2009, -0/+1You're in luck, I think they're coming back.
- IvanB, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1It's not like this just surfaced..it's been out for a while.
- acklefutz, on 02/21/2009, -0/+1Not quite, but he's probably the closest we've had in a while.
- lvliv, on 12/09/2008, -0/+1Fuuuuuuuccck You! ..
Music hates you - trunkster, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Another thing on Digg that I found a few days prior.. Anyway, this is awesome, I believe it is straight off the tape Sony did that would have been sent to MTV? (besides that would be a much better quality master). Some people have said that the original filming was done in High Definition by Sony, but I doubt it. But just imagine if that were to ever leak..
Now if Courtney Love would just freaking allow this to be release on DVD, it would be awesome to have a decent copy of. - Mauly, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Its so annoying that so much great music hasn't been made be nirvana! Was a real blast watching that, it now seems complete..
They need to release a dvd of this..... also, something that should be released on dvd is "live tonight, sold out" classic.... - pillfred, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I assume this is the same as the video that got put out. with some searching I'm sure you can find a good copy on the net. Not saying that this is bad.
- dalle, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3It's not accessable now. :( Did google remove? I have it open and loaded in a tab anyway, so I can enjoy it though.
- DarthBrady, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Do you think there is a higher quality version out there anywhere?
- luk1n, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Anyone know if there is a Pearl Jam unedited MTV Unplugged vid? Nirvana was one part of grunge, PJ was the other (well and Soundgarden but they didn't do this).
- Ziplock74, on 04/05/2008, -0/+0yeah they let out a DVD of the unplugged performance now...lol
- LEDDY, on 10/12/2007, -4/+4Yes we could!!! i wish kurt was still around!
Ive always wanted to see this unedited, and now i have!!!
SWEET! - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1his name is jack white
- FishPoisonCon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0twoblackeyes... not really released, but a quick googling found this: http://www.ioffer.com/si/nirvana-unplugged-ny
i have no idea about the quality, but its there.... - darkmule, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3Kick ass, i've yet to even *see* unplugged in new york on tape.
Great find. - skell, on 10/12/2007, -5/+4Brilliant. A great find.
