- Eldoo77, on 10/12/2007, -5/+31Put away your wand, Dupe Fairy!
- Ascendant, on 10/12/2007, -6/+28uh, duude, man, like, what was the name of that song? It was tootally playing at 4:20 man! I can't remember! I just remember, it was like, uh, playing at 4:20. huh huh!
oh wait, what were we talking about? - AhrenBa, on 10/12/2007, -0/+13This is pretty dang cool! When I did a search for my local radio station, they were about 30 minutes behind on the songs. But still, I like this idea!
- whozyodaddy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11Well, from now on instead of trying to memorize a certain lyric of the song playing on the radio, I will memorize at the time I hear it. Much better especially if I misinterpret the lyric.
- kevinmtu, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8Awesome service, also shows the top 100 songs played on the station. Seems their business model is to make click revenue by having links on each songs to iTunes. Very nice. Anyone know how long they have been around?
- steve693, on 10/12/2007, -4/+10I'll use it the next time I hear a new or unique song on corporate FM radio.
As in never. =| - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7I wonder who can be more negative about any given thing... Slashdotters or diggers?
Gets my digg since many of the stations I listed to don't publish their songlist. How about glass being half FULL for once? - Damienk, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6nice **idea** they have. no canadian edition in the works by any chance? :D
- AhrenBa, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5I did a WhoIs search on them, and it looks like they have had the domain since 1996, but I can't imagine that this particular site has been up that long. I would give the direct link to the whois, but it looks like its a dynamic link.
Just go here, http://www.networksolutions.com/whois/index.jsp , and type in yes.com . - theotherme, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5this ***** RULES! great find
- roket21, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2yea, the same is happening to me. They are about 30 minute late.
btw I didn't know I had so many radio stations in my area. - seanlynch, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Is that flash map on the front page live? That's almost as cool as Digg Swarm!
- willin, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4Except its 4:20 am. Night shift?
- jiub, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I've looked into it and the station manager submits their station to yes.com and then provides them with the song logs. Contact your station manager and ask him to get on the site.
- modpancake, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2This one goes back 828 hours (almost 5 weeks): http://yes.com/lookup.php?s=KQKQ&to=828
- supes, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Very cool had all the stations in my area plus some I didn't know what I could get. Only one station had no listing. Very cool idea.
- mateo60, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Local radio is amazingly bad so I'd probably never use this site... BUT, its a VERY cool and possibly very handy site. It looks great too.
- shitthisfook, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2No, you don't understand. While FM radio sucks MAJOR balls for the most part, there are certain times when they might play something good or old that you're unfamiliar with. They almost always play these great songs without comment (unbelievably frustrating), and sometimes the song might even be an instrumental or have unintelligible/very common lyrics. And also, you might catch a brand new song right at the end and they never repeat it's name again.
This is a great tool. - sngx1275, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Worked when I entered a stations call letters, but the thing doesn't render properly in Opera.
- jiub, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I've personally been using it for about 4 years or so. Didn't used to be nearly as flashy though. Great service thats introduced me to a lot of new music.
- R_Cubed, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Great idea. Now I don't have to call or e-mail the station anymore to ask them.
- MosX, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2It's a good resource.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2radio? what is that?
- ktchpmn, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3*footnote: does not apply to independent, college radio. the only radio stations worth listening to
- HungryMedia, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1very cool. I'm wondering where they get their data from.
- jlgoolsbee, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1The call-in service (if you register) will show you a list of all the songs you called in on and wether you rated it positively or negatively - but it only works in the Eastern Time Zone...
I live in the Central Time Zone, and all my calls (time and song) were an hour ahead of when I called. I emailed Yes.com support; they said they only support the Eastern Time Zone for now... they'll support other time zones in a future release. - angrybulldog, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1big fan of KEXP here in Seattle. they're like the KCRW, Santa Monica of the Northwest. Great music, and you'll often hear something you want to get ...
anyway, this is a killer idea who's time has long been coming! - BugMeNot2, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Oldie but goodie. I completely forgot about this service when they went down (I wasn't able to access the site for over a week, I think). I used to use it all the time back when I listened to the radio.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1this is the *****
digg - ElJefeGrande, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Can go back in time more than 24hrs. Just edit the variable "to" in the url string to numbers larger than 24.
- lfrazee, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Brilliant!! I hate scrolling through radio stations/websites trying to find something good to listen to...
- quinctia, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0A few stations around here do this on their own site, but it would generally be the last hour or so. I'd be screwed if I heard it at work (the only place I listen, usually) and didn't have time to get on the internet to look it up.
This makes me happy. :) - tomwilliams, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This is a "nifty" idea. Not out-of-this-world innovative but a great combination of information and ecommerce.
- sngx1275, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Doesn't work where I live either. Town of 17,000, and tons of local radio stations.. ugh.
- yevkasem, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1i first came across this site around 2 years ago. it used to be _waay_ more useful and intuitive. it's a great idea but they've ruined it.
- phisquare, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Best website ever, period.
- MrC539, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1My local radio station (Q104.3 in NY) has something like this on their website, minus the iTunes link. It's great that they link to iTunes, except it sucks for songs that aren't on iTunes (e.g. Led Zeppelin).
- yensed, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Don't got anything for 97420...
- rhfb, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Dosn't work for Alaska either :(
no digg for me - klownkiller, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1*awesome* site...i found all my favorites :)
but it would be even better if they provided links to download the songs from Allofmp3....i know i can go to allofmp3.com , copy & paste the song name....but I'm too lazy. I'm all for convenience :D - modpancake, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Doesn't have my favorite station (KIBZ), but good in concept.
- CrazyForSW, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1It's a nice site, but it gets complicated if your looking for songs anywhere from an hour or a few days ago because the interface is so bad. It's a good site though.
- PseudoWaters, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2The bestest thing since sliced bread! No really I do like this site. Now when I do come back to listening to live radio, I can check what was it instead of bugging the station about it.
- fishrokka, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Top 5 songs on Yes.com:
5. Roundabout
4. Starship Trooper
3. Long Distance Runaround
2. I've Seen All Good People
2. Owner of a Lonely Heart - ReaperUnreal, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Seriously, no Canadian stations makes this a no digg for me. The idea is great, but I'd love to know what CKDJ or Hot 89.9 are playing, I don't really care what Hot97 is up to.
- Gatesophile, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Hey, that's pretty cool. I'm always wondering what that random song on the radio is.
- rockdragon, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Same here. The only station I listen to isn't on there.
- EarbudAce, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Good resource. lol a Clear Channel - iTunes mashup
- rockdragon, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0KIBZ the Blaze rocks and they don't have it :(
