- StevieJanowski, on 04/02/2009, -1/+40Nothing like a bunch of naked dudes with their mouths taped shut
- jquipp, on 09/06/2008, -3/+36Should be more nudity in music ... though we need more female bands for that.
- doshindude, on 09/06/2008, -0/+21dugg for the video of MCR getting bottles thrown at them from Slayers fans.
- Kevinok, on 09/06/2008, -0/+17I was at Lollapalooza for the Radiohead and fireworks, and it was spectacular. Here is my video of that moment http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y220h0sGd4s
- EatingPie, on 09/06/2008, -1/+18Wait. They cite Altamont and don't mention... THE MURDER?
Unbelievable.
-Pie - duli42, on 09/06/2008, -0/+15When the Hell's Angels were used as security for the stones, the most tragic incident was not some beatings, it was when one of the fans was stabbed to death by one of the angels.
- joeconway, on 09/06/2008, -0/+12That was pretty tame compared to a lot of the bottlings there.
50 Cent was ***** hilarious in 05. he eventually left when he got hit with a chair - 5xSTUN, on 09/06/2008, -0/+12When were you in my basement?!!
- FearNLoathing, on 09/06/2008, -1/+11Their assessment of the whole Jay-Z/Oasis thing is waaaay off. From what I've read, Jay-Z was basically doing it as an insult (Noel Gallagher didn't want him at that festival). Not to mention him saying "that bloke from oasis said i couldn't play guitar, somebody shoulda told him i'm a *****' rockstar!" on his latest song...
- EnderMB, on 09/06/2008, -0/+10They missed out the 50 Cent bottling incident at Reading Festival. It was twice as bad as what MCR received, and they probably didn't have as much piss and plastic rain down on them.
Also, here's a video of the Panic At The Disco bottling incident, knocking the opening act of the entire festival out in one of their first songs.

- nonamesleft3, on 09/05/2008, -0/+9These videos are wicked! Why doesn't anything like that happen when I go to festival?
- inactive, on 09/06/2008, -0/+9Nice!
I saw them at the Molson Amptitheater in August in Toronto. There was some show going on near the end of their set that had fireworks going off, too, but they were waaaay off in the distance and not the same thing as what happened at Lollapalooza.
but I mean, who cares? I WAS SEEING RADIOHEAD. - DownIsTheNewUp, on 09/06/2008, -0/+7Nickelback getting rocks thrown at them in Portugal:

- BestJaxx, on 09/06/2008, -1/+6http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/5/52/Loll ... Those guys have some balls...guts.
- freak3295, on 09/06/2008, -0/+5far too many bands get bottled at leeds & reading to include them all, though 50 cent should of been included, i mean come on, someone threw a chair at him lol.
- MadHarvey, on 09/06/2008, -0/+5Not sure why you are being dugg down. That paragraph was completely sarcastic.
Notoriously polite Noel Gallagher?? Lol.... - danthepiercer, on 09/06/2008, -0/+4thank you for reminding me how much i truly ***** loathe coutrney love.
if ever there were an example for waste of skin, its her.
on a side note...why wasnt the L7 tampon throwing incident included? - freak3295, on 09/06/2008, -0/+4lol I was at Leeds/Reading fest, for that year (and the following two years).
I was at Leeds, it didnt seem to kick off there :( shame, MCR really did suck lol. - Lith25, on 09/06/2008, -0/+4If your a quite emo-band like MCR is, you gotta know ***** is going to go down if you're playing before or after a metal act like Slayer. If you play before you'll just be boo'd for your entire set, if you play after...well you get ***** thrown at you and boo'd.
- inactive, on 09/05/2008, -0/+3haha, yeah. I'm in TO too.
With Oasis in town, the potential for drama is high! - faatbuddha, on 09/07/2008, -0/+3Haha, awesome.
- juliandunbar11, on 09/06/2008, -0/+3The rainbows were pretty sick when they started.
- DownIsTheNewUp, on 09/06/2008, -0/+3Coachella 2007:
It's Saturday night and people are partying at the on-site campgrounds. There is a noise curfew of 2am so people can get some sleep, but hundreds are drumming and singing and shouting into all hours of the night. Too excited about the upcoming Rage Against the Machine reunion, I guess. But the real highlight of the festival was Jarvis Cocker's performance on Friday. ANYWAYS, camp security tries many times to get the crowd to disperse and shut up, so they call the police. And they show up in riot gear with dogs and tear gas and tasers and even a helicopter flying overhead telling everyone to go back to their tents.
So do people go to bed? Hell no! The crowd gets even bigger as thousands are drawn over by the commotion. It's a peaceful event, for the most part. A couple people end up getting tased, bro, but that's it. Instead, everyone chants at the riot police "***** YOU I WON'T DO WHAT YOU TELL ME!" and sing songs at them like "Hey Jude." Eventually the police give up and leave.

- Gatesophile, on 09/06/2008, -0/+2The fireworks during the Radiohead show was in 2008. And I was there, and it was totally as awesome as they said it was.
- EmPB, on 09/06/2008, -0/+2Good compilation - only missing Brendon Urie getting bottled at Reading 06.

The goggles... they do nothing! - DestroyFascism, on 09/06/2008, -1/+3Drunken band days flashback.....ugh
- istatic, on 09/06/2008, -0/+2Recently, notoriously polite Oasis frontman Noel Gallagher shared his admiration for Jay-Z's body of work in an interview, giving his thoughts on the rapper's appearance at Glastonbury. Hova, apparently flattered by Gallagher's kind words, expressed what he thought of Oasis at the start of his set, giving the fans watching the show a unique treat, as he belted out into a truly amazing rendition of "Wonderwall." Honestly, it is moments like these, where musicians are able to check their egos at the door and have a good time, that make these festivals so goddamn captivating.
No *****. - Lewiji, on 09/06/2008, -0/+2It was neither. Oasis insulted him, so he came on playing an Oasis song. It was funny.
- fierypoobag, on 09/07/2008, -0/+2Just thought I should point out that theres no way the Radiohead fireworks could be from a Cubs game. I was there, and the fireworks were south of the stage. Wrigley field is ~2 miles to the north. Couldn't be Sox either, Comiskey is ~2 miles south, and the fireworks were very close. He didn't research that so much.
- skunkman62, on 09/06/2008, -0/+2because you go to the Free Christian Music Festival every year.
- ikedajd, on 09/06/2008, -0/+2No mention of Daft Punk's epic return to the live music scene at Coachella?!?
- unitedkronos, on 09/06/2008, -0/+2Somewhat related, here's a vid of a guy climbing the inside of a disco tent at this year's Download Festival (UK) and falling 10-15 feet flat out on his arse.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=159Sh3knzW8 - cpovey, on 09/09/2008, -0/+1Was it just me, or was Jay-Z's rendition of Wonderwall absolutely atrocious? I kept wincing everytime he tried singing it...
- deetank, on 09/06/2008, -0/+1BONNAROOOOOO!
- Matsky, on 09/07/2008, -0/+1I've seen the "unclean" version of her Big Day Out performance here on Aussie TV - it basically involves her stagediving in naught but a black thong, relishing everyone groping all over her (I hope they were vaccinated after).
- Lewiji, on 09/06/2008, -0/+1True, but Brendon Urie actually got knocked out by a bottle. I saw it on the screens when wandering between stages, ***** hilarious.
- Matsky, on 09/07/2008, -0/+1I hope that explains the complete lack of singing ability then - because I have an ear ache right now and that ***** didn't help it! And I doubt he way "playing" anything on that guitar - they were just playing the song in the background.
- danthepiercer, on 09/07/2008, -0/+1arguably the only action shes going to get.
- waydee, on 09/06/2008, -0/+1There was a kiddies paddling pool on the stage by the end of it too I heard lol
- DivisibleByZero, on 09/06/2008, -0/+1Not a festival, but a few months ago, M.O.D. played in downtown Austin, with some fairly crappy local metal bands opening. I sat there through all that boringness just waiting for M.O.D. Meanwhile Bill Milano was busy getting drunk.
About three songs into their set, he was too far gone to stand up. Did an excellent job of singing, "The Hate Tank" while laying on the ground. Then puked all over the stage and passed out.
Even though the show was cut short, it's one of my favorite metal memories. They're playing again next weekend, so that should be a blast. - Lewiji, on 09/07/2008, -0/+1Wow, you have noise curfews at festivals in the US? Sucks. Good for them for standing up to the police.
- yerlamow, on 09/08/2008, -0/+1Now, these are the festivals to go to inspite of distance and possible loss of a day's pay at work.
