- tacojohn, on 03/20/2009, -10/+200I ***** love NIN!
- tbeseda, on 03/20/2009, -6/+165Pretty badass that nineinchnails.com runs their own tracker.
- xerocint, on 03/20/2009, -7/+136Go Trent!
- Pos3idon, on 03/20/2009, -2/+129http://www.ninja2009.com
- aggiejaa, on 03/20/2009, -7/+130Trent Reznor just gets it - Savior of the Music Industry.
- sunburner, on 03/20/2009, -5/+113I appreciate artists who actually understand what pleases their fans. Unlike 90% of the other corporate label *****.
- booticon, on 03/20/2009, -4/+100***** THE RIAA.

here's the real link:
http://www.ninja2009.com/ - Kobskid, on 03/20/2009, -4/+51Trent is showing the music industry how it should be done, music industry please take notes.
- myempyrean, on 03/20/2009, -1/+35I like turtles, wait I mean NIN
- inactive, on 03/20/2009, -2/+35Hells yeah. I bet Trent has a low-key Digg account. He's a total Digger.
- soupcan58, on 03/20/2009, -4/+35Ok, I'm a full on Reznor fan now. He gets how music should be distributed and advertised. And that 8-bit picture kicks ass IMO.
- JustLetGo, on 03/20/2009, -3/+32The only reason this works for him is that he was big already.
Bands just starting up can't do this and get any where near the level of popularity he has.
True, he's adapting, but he was still set in stone before the fall of the industry. - MaxMWood, on 03/20/2009, -6/+32Sweeeeeeeeet.
- slaverynin, on 03/20/2009, -2/+27Trent Reznor does it again, thanks.
- adderx99, on 03/20/2009, -4/+29SEEDING right now... the FLAC only has 8 seeders right now...keep it up Trent is worth it!!!

Come on, people - you know me better than that.
http://twitter.com/trent_reznor/status/1361059899 - inactive, on 03/20/2009, -3/+23It's great for his fans and it makes him look good but it doesn't do much for the "industry" as a whole. The only reason he can pull this stuff off is because he's already a megastar.
- trigun500, on 03/20/2009, -4/+21You guys have to check Trent's Twitter Feed when his PC crashed trying to get the site up.
- Snoosy, on 03/20/2009, -0/+16I probably would if he keeps giving me free, amazing music combined with one of the best live performances I've ever seen.
- inactive, on 03/20/2009, -1/+16Nobody else read it as NINJA Trent Reznor??
- danwallace, on 03/20/2009, -1/+15Seemed like a joke to me... He's been known to tease about the BSOD.
- Jektal, on 03/20/2009, -1/+15Damn straight.
This makes me proud to have bought concert tickets for this tour. And I'm sure it's better for the band that I spent $100 on tickets (bought through them at nin.com) than $20-40 for a CD or two, of which they might only receive 1%. - walterwoodsiv, on 03/20/2009, -2/+15So glad that NIN is cool enough to give away music for free.
- chriswastaken, on 10/27/2009, -0/+13Does that mean NIN|JA's and Pirate's are on the same team?!?! They are unstoppable!.
- debrawelsh, on 03/20/2009, -1/+13Thanks once again Trent - really appreciate all you do.
- rupert0, on 03/20/2009, -4/+16Dugged for the greater good ;)
- dygel, on 03/20/2009, -0/+12That was him dicking with his followers. Good natured fun, if you will.
Trent is a pretty hardcore Mac user, by all accounts. If your Mac starts core dumping, you won't be tweeting two minutes later. You'll be on the phone with Apple support. - ericahess, on 03/20/2009, -0/+12Just another little jab at Microsoft.....from his Wired interview on the Lights in the Sky tour:
"We purposefully put one frame of the Blue Screen of Death in this collage of static that comes up at the end of 'Great Destroyer,' and right away people caught it," he says.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/ltrandazzo/2783768632 ... - MavRevMatt, on 03/20/2009, -7/+18There are other things than iPods.
And ***** Jay-Z. - hadak, on 03/20/2009, -4/+15Our Father, who art Trent Reznor..
- dillacom, on 03/20/2009, -2/+12buying my tickets tomorrow!
- boozedrinker, on 03/20/2009, -1/+11I will gladly pay $60 to see NIN - it's when they price Hannah Montanna and Jonas Brothers shows at $150, I have a problem with ticket prices. NIN is worth EVERY LAST RED CENT of the ticket price.
Ohh...and your a *****, too. - AndrewDB, on 03/20/2009, -3/+13We need to vote Trent in as the president of the RIAA.
- BattleChimp, on 03/20/2009, -1/+11If Kevin had dugg the original it would have nearly had the same effect as submitting it himself. This specific instance really bothers me. I try all the time to submit, but I never get the chance because there's always dupes. I'm pretty sure, as of right now, thanks to Kevin taking a ***** on the digg community by submitting dupes, I'm never going to attempt to submit again. ***** this *****...
- JRowe3388, on 03/20/2009, -0/+10I wish I could make it to the NIN|JA tour, but they don't come near me and I can't afford the ticket prices and travel, etc.
I hope Trent brings back NIN in the future. - pardonmedoug, on 03/20/2009, -0/+10True, he's using a method that works for his situation. Smaller bands will also have to be creative and figure out novel promotional methods that work for whatever their situation is. Or if they get "lucky" maybe they'll be able to sign with a major label who will take 98% of their profits, and even potentially OWE the label money if their material doesn't sell.
Guess it's not a great idea to become a professional musician if you're uncreative and driven solely by profits. - inactive, on 03/20/2009, -2/+12***** YES. DUGG.
- inactive, on 03/21/2009, -0/+9From the disclaimer on nintorrents.com:
"ninorrents.com is not affiliated with nine inch nails, or InterScope Records."
Sorry. - boozedrinker, on 03/20/2009, -0/+9I will gladly pay $60 to see NIN - it's when they price Hannah Montanna and Jonas Brothers shows at $150, I have a problem with ticket prices. NIN is worth EVERY LAST RED CENT of the ticket price.
I suppose you pay for front row Hannah Montana tickets, right? Douche. - Hanny26, on 03/20/2009, -0/+9Yeah, I think it's great what people like Reznor are doing, but it sucks for the little guys who can't afford to give content away. It's easy to dish out free content when you already have an extremely high standard of living. Bit of a different story for people who are relying on that income to pay the bills.
- scarwars, on 03/20/2009, -0/+8ninja > pirates ?
- Snoosy, on 03/20/2009, -0/+8Nobody in their right mind sits down at a NIN show.
- dlequyer, on 03/20/2009, -0/+8Jane's Addiction........
- BurnTees, on 03/20/2009, -3/+11that's because he's trent and it's NIN! you know how many small bands are trying like hell to give away their content to no avail?! the thinking that any band can do this just boggles my mind.
- boozedrinker, on 03/20/2009, -1/+9C'mon Kevin - I'm sure you saw that dupe....try to play by your own rules? I know you are friends with Trent and all, but seriously, this would have made it to the FP eventually....
- warholsbluecat, on 03/20/2009, -0/+7This compliation is ***** awesome - Whores has never had a studio version and was only on the Kettle Whistle CD as a live track 10 years ago - one of my favorite Janes tracks of all time. The two NIN tracks are also ones that have only been done live during the with teeth era and it is ***** awesome to have studio versions of them.
I got my tickets to the merriweather show - can't wait! -
