- pyroguy56011, on 02/24/2009, -0/+22This is terrible news. I don't want my Twitter spammed with people's ***** music.
- darkmotion, on 02/24/2009, -2/+15It also gets annoying as heck when last.fm+ twitter are integrated. I've seen people hook the songs they are listening to into it with rss, and it'll tweet every 4-5 minutes. No thanksssss
- kelyar, on 02/24/2009, -0/+9firefox title for this tab looks like this - "Digg - Music + Twitter = Love"
- Valyn, on 02/24/2009, -1/+10"The cool thing about Blip.fm is that you can not only be your own DJ, but you can set up your Twitter account under Blip.fm’s settings tab and whenever you “blip” a song, it will tweet to your profile."
Wow... that's a lot of tweets, blits, twit, bloops and *****... - cgrin, on 02/24/2009, -1/+10Agreed. The last thing I want is my friends tweeting every 4-5 minutes with a new song title. File this with facebook's recently popular "25 things" under "Nobody Cares"
- cryonix, on 02/24/2009, -0/+8Next time you post my twitter roll, get permission first.
- murkem, on 02/24/2009, -6/+13***** TWITTER

twitter + music = exposes your feminine inside :/ - magneteye, on 02/24/2009, -0/+5Mmmm... u sic twit, er?
- techdever, on 02/24/2009, -0/+5Digg + Twitter = Spam
- factsahoy, on 02/24/2009, -1/+6You know, there used to be another great source of "social" listening. It was called "radio", and it used to play a variety of songs on the same station.
But media conglomerates like ClearChannel and small-minded listeners have teamed up to destroy the fun of popular music for everyone. Everyone now buries their heads in their own little subniche of a subgenre and refuses to believe that maybe they could like hip-hop, dance, guitar rock, and "adult" alternative at the same time.
Will Twitter reverse this trend? DOUBTFUL. - ryleyleckie, on 02/24/2009, -0/+4people that have twitter update every time they change the song they're listening to are an instant unfollow. fyi: no one cares
- phreak79, on 02/24/2009, -1/+5Where does the romance come into this then?
- pyroguy56011, on 02/24/2009, -1/+5I like you. Most people don't share my view on music.
Most likely Twitter will increase the trend. People on the internet are as close-minded as most radio listeners, they just think they're more open because they only listen to x genre instead of only listening to radio music. - factsahoy, on 02/24/2009, -2/+6Awesome spammy post that no one needs!
- Snoosy, on 02/24/2009, -1/+4And ***** Digg articles about Twitter.
Seriously, how many do we need on the front page a day? - liamvickery, on 02/24/2009, -2/+4Music online is becoming more social, great to share and enjoy tracks with your friends online, it adds a lot to the experience of listening.
- bjornski, on 02/25/2009, -0/+2Wait, so we're missing out on something by not listening to the same thing everyone else is?
And there IS no music that "we ALL knew and loved". Your clique might have liked it, but I was probably off listening to something else.
Just because a lot of people have all heard it, and can "identify" with it, doesn't mean that it was a positive influence on anyone. It just gave the collective a common item to talk about. There is no value in something just because "everyone else is doing it".
Having everyone thinking about the same things is NOT always good. - foomojive, on 02/24/2009, -0/+2oh hell no. if anyone turns this on that i follow they get a quick unfollow. you gotta be careful about auto-tweets. raptr is a good example: it tweets every time you play a new game or get an achievement. People hated it when I turned that on, but a good compromise was leaving it on achievements only because it wasn't so constant and pointless.
now if only i could get mapmyrun.com to only tweet workouts and not new maps. i usually have to disable twitter integration, save a map, turn twitter back on, add a workout to my training log so it only posts the workout. that way it only posts once per run instead of twice in a row. - jeffwmartin, on 02/24/2009, -0/+2So, if you blip a song, it tweets your profile and when you scrobble a song, it blips and tweets you?
Why are all these nouns and non-words being used as verbs? - fissionvsfusion, on 02/24/2009, -0/+2I looked at her last.fm profile and assessed her musical tastes. Based on that, I decided not to read the article.
- bgammill, on 02/24/2009, -2/+3Boxxy plus Pocky equals LOOOOOOOOVE. Which is true, it's a very true statement.
- asx1310, on 02/24/2009, -0/+1eep opp ork ah ah?
- factsahoy, on 02/24/2009, -1/+2Most people don't realize what we've lost, and future generations will never experience it. What fun would road trips have been without great songs that we ALL knew and loved?
Period movies always feature the massive hits of the day. Look at the songs that lend authenticity to Vietnam movies. Gulf War movies. '80s movies. That kind of broad musical popularity will soon cease to exist, leaving future generations without musical representation and the time-machine-like power of the hit. - monkeysama, on 02/24/2009, -3/+4If only you had control of who you followed and whose updates you saw.
- Zippo, on 02/24/2009, -2/+3GTFO newfag.

- whiteknives, on 02/24/2009, -3/+3Missing thesixtyone.com
- chipxsd, on 02/24/2009, -3/+3what's wrong with last.fm? I'm sure you can synchronize last.fm entries with twitter.
edit: my bad... left comment before reading the article - TwoHalfBrains, on 02/24/2009, -2/+1Good blog there. "Dork Muffin." The closest a dork ever got to a muffin.
- AutoTom, on 02/24/2009, -4/+3boxxy + pocky = love!
ps. i ain't trollin, you is trolin! - liamvickery, on 02/24/2009, -4/+2People, feel free to blip or tweet your music in my Twitter stream anytime. You don't actually have to listen to the song if someone tweets it, so it's not like anything is being forced upon you, apart from maybe a 140 chars tweet. Yet people come to Digg, where they are forced upon by the very same sort of comments, and spout hate against Twitter and music on there? LOL, what gives?
Each to their own, I love discovering new music and sharing it with people. You can actually grow bonds with people and share common experiences. I liked this article. - sw3d3n, on 02/24/2009, -3/+0How about sharing music videos? Possible through twitter?
- inactive, on 02/25/2009, -5/+2okay I'm addicted to Twitter, but this idea is totally stupid, and any and every follower who will post periodical tweets about what he's listening to will be unfollowed and removed from my following list. last thing i need on my twitter's timeline is spam, and not the content I'm not interested in. I have removed highly educated, qualified and successful people off my list because although they were more successful in life than me, they failed to understand social networking's point. (Buried)
- PostPunk, on 02/24/2009, -9/+5Awesome compilation of info I always wanted to know!
