- Yetisquatch, on 04/20/2009, -3/+27Angel Dust is one of the best albums ever.
- eddygoombah, on 04/20/2009, -3/+21Mike Patton is GOD
- ekwenox9, on 04/20/2009, -2/+18Mr. Bungle - California. Perfectly Arranged! this guy is a genius. hope him and trent get some work in some time
- JakeBC, on 04/20/2009, -2/+18Faith No More was way ahead of their time. Great band!
- PariahComplex, on 04/19/2009, -2/+15I saw Fantomas open for Tool, Fantomas put on an amazing performance
- papashawn, on 04/20/2009, -1/+14It's amazing, the sheer amount of projects MP gets involved in.
if someone were to tell me he was the one singing behind the curtain at shakira concerts, it wouldn't surprise me. - emailowndme, on 04/19/2009, -3/+14Mike Patton is one of my all time fav's, no one seems to have any idea who he is.
About his only project I can't jam out to is the fantomas stuff.
Mr Bungle, Tomahawk, Faith No More, the 5 songs he did with the Dillinger Escape Plan, Peeping Tom...
Any new projects I should look out for? - itc518, on 04/19/2009, -0/+10They are amazing, but many people just dont get it when it comes to Fantomas. In my book you cannot go wrong with them, Patton and Dave Lombardo = craziness! I understand why many people dont get it because it is so off the wall and crazy, but that is Mike Patton anyways, a very unique entertainer.
- Papsie, on 04/20/2009, -0/+10If you haven't had sex to Lovage, you haven't lived.
- VotePaul, on 04/19/2009, -0/+10The Suspended Animation video sounds a lot like a Frank Zappa piece.
- cryonix, on 04/20/2009, -0/+10In addition to the article he has voiced:
Left 4 Dead: the Horde
Portal: the Anger Sphere
I Am Legend: the Creatures
So those of you that don't know who he is, he was around and you didn't even know it.
PS: He's also doing Mixmaster's voice in Transformers:ROTF - BlueCollarCrime, on 04/20/2009, -2/+11Dugg for Easy
- eddygoombah, on 04/20/2009, -1/+10Angel Dust, Disco Volante, and Director's Cut
All these albums are WAY ahead of their time. and all these albums i STILL listen to on a daily basis. - peligro666, on 04/20/2009, -1/+10Dugg for Mike *****' Patton!
- itc518, on 04/19/2009, -0/+8I am sure Zappa is a huge influence on Mike Patton.
- 0mniscient, on 04/20/2009, -1/+9I'm a big fan of the work he did on The Dillinger Escape Plan's "Irony is a Dead Scene" EP.
Very talented guy. - fattehboi, on 04/20/2009, -2/+10Wow so many videos...and its one page!
Take note cracked - JEH225, on 04/20/2009, -1/+8because some people have better musical taste than you
- DeathJux, on 04/20/2009, -0/+7Check out Lovage's "Music to Make Love to Your Old Lady By" and Kaada/Patton's "Romances."
Both are quite different and excellent.
I also second General Patton VS. The X-ecutioners "Joint Special Operations Task Force."
It's bizarre and awesome. - sindex, on 04/20/2009, -0/+7He looks like he could kill Kid Rock with his mind.
- magneteye, on 04/20/2009, -0/+7and lets not forget King Buzzo of Melvins fame on guitar.
- blindmelon1, on 04/20/2009, -0/+6It's a live thing, the albums don't do much for me but the live Fantomas experience is where the magic happens.
- ghuytro, on 04/20/2009, -1/+7Another great song featuring a broad range of vocals from Patton:
Caralho Voador from King for a Day:

patton is a genius, but Trevor Dunn is the best part of Bungle. - busterbros, on 04/20/2009, -1/+7Makes me want to go download some Faith No More illegally.
- monkeyhoward, on 04/20/2009, -0/+6New Years Eve 1992, my friends and I drove from Seattle to San Francisco to see Primus. The Melvins and Mr Bungle opened. I watched Mike Patton unzip his coveralls, piss into a shoe that someone had thrown on stage and drink from it. Despite that rather strange reaction to having a shoe thrown at him, he put on one of the most amazing shows I've ever seen.
- billraydrums, on 04/20/2009, -1/+7Peeping Tom.
- Conguent, on 04/20/2009, -0/+6Just because it goes over your head, doesn't make it noise.
- joshmoney, on 04/20/2009, -0/+5Bjork and Patton
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RAZ2J-RYaz8&fea ... - yehaww, on 04/20/2009, -1/+6I'm a huge fan of just about everything he's done. Sometimes I come across another album he had something to do with and more often than not, it's really good. And different than stuff he's done in the past. Definitely a prolific musician. He's got so many great side projects. Jack White is another one who just seems to ooze music.
BTW Faith No More reunited, so we can expect a full on tour this Fall, I would imagine. - eddygoombah, on 04/20/2009, -0/+5yeah, my friend grew up with him and Trey Spruance in Eureka, CA... and he pretty much says that Mike's amazing, but a huge cocky ass...
but if I was that bad ass, I'd be a dick too probably - itc518, on 04/20/2009, -1/+6He would be excellent for a Digg interview, he has the sense of humor many diggers would like.
- JackSrenton, on 04/20/2009, -0/+5oh yes... yes I have :)
- eddygoombah, on 04/20/2009, -0/+5that's right, because album sales directly correlates with how good an album is.
You must think the Jonas Brothers are the next Beatles then.
truth is there has been nothing that Patton has touched that is bad. You simply just don't get it, and for that, aI truly feel sorry for you. - ourhearts137, on 04/20/2009, -1/+6The best of Mike Patton has to be Mr. Bungle - Goodbye Sober Day. He really uses his voice as an instrument. Astonishing!
Link: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x7qh7i_good-bye-s ... - ElPickle007, on 04/20/2009, -0/+5***** agreed
- sanchezke70, on 04/20/2009, -0/+5This man is a god.
- boxoctosis, on 04/20/2009, -0/+5Dugg. Patton is one of the most important people working in music at this point in time. His work ethic is incredible. Still a young man, he's released exponentially more material than most musicians do in their entire lifetimes. When he's not running his own record label (Ipecac,) or doing voiceovers for film and videogames, he collaborates with many of the finest living musicians, including Dave Lombardo, Terry Bozzio, John Zorn, and Dan Nakamura. His early bands (Faith No More and Mr. Bungle) laid the groundwork for countless acts to follow. The whole West Coast scene of experimental bands such as Sleepytime Gorilla Museum and Secret Chiefs 3 are direct heirs to the standards set by the early Patton bands. I got to hang out with Mike at a Trio Convulsant show in SF a few years back, and found him to be also a fun, grounded, and thoughtful person.
- itc518, on 04/20/2009, -0/+5Devin and SYL kick ass too, but I hear ya on fans of them and Tool sometimes. The worst fans I have ever seen are die hard prog metal fans, especially Dream Theater fans, usually all cocky pricks.
- acomj, on 04/20/2009, -1/+6I liked his work in Faith No More, but honestly I can only make out about half of the lyrics on those albums.
- huntermcwhite, on 04/20/2009, -0/+5i love mike patton
didn't ever expect to see him on digg though. weird - RJ0534, on 04/20/2009, -0/+5I bet you've been waiting forever to use that link haha.
But seriously, I wish I had an imdb page. - RedhookESB, on 04/20/2009, -1/+6love the lovage, baby.
- JackSrenton, on 04/20/2009, -1/+6Hell yeah they mentioned Firecracker!
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2275526/
me! - eddygoombah, on 04/20/2009, -0/+4That's the point of the video. FNM made it a job to make fun of everyone. They were making fun of both their previous success with "Epic" and the entire concept of MTV...
Really, this video was a big middle finger to MTV, basically daring them to broadcast it, which they did.
FNM, especially Mike Patton, love to screw with people, even members of the band. Listen to the lyrics of "Cuckoo for Caca" some time... He's calling out his drummer for being a corporate shill.
Once you get the dark strange humor surrounding FNM, you'll find "Everything's Ruined" funny. - Checkerd, on 04/20/2009, -0/+4I miss Mr. Bungle
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J4rqXqpLCZ0 - Scroto, on 04/20/2009, -0/+4BE AGRESSIVE!
- mexicutioner124, on 04/20/2009, -0/+4I've been a huge fan of Mike Patton since I was about 14. Definitely my personal favorite vocalist of all time. He can do pretty much any kind of music.
- itc518, on 04/20/2009, -1/+5I am a musician as well, and I dont know how any musician cannot appreciate his range and vocal ability. I cant think of to many vocalists that can do the stuff that Patton can do, and I think I have heard him do every style of music that you can think of. To say he is average is crazy, especially from a musician.
I think you may be thinking of Fantomas with Tool, they toured together. Tomahawk may have toured with them though and I never heard of it. Fantomas many people just do not get, and I totally understand, but I think it is genius. -
