  • schavira, on 03/04/2009, -2/+13Despite whatever you feel about his personal life, he probably has one of the best musical careers ever. His stuff on Motown and with the Jackson 5 is classic, and most of his solo stuff is pretty damn good, especially Thiller and Off the Wall. Even his later stuff like HIStory have their moments. He was one of the few listenable mainstream acts of the 80s, revolutionized dance and the music video, and is arguably one of the best songwriters the world has seen. Plus, considering the plethora of health problems he has I seriously doubt that the cause of his death would end up being murder by some crazed fan who wants to hear his new material, and considering how insane some of them are over him I doubt they would want him dead, unless they have a Mark Champan complex or something.
