- bitt3n, on 10/12/2007, -5/+132yes I was so offended myself I almost swallowed my monocle.
- PatrickFisher, on 10/12/2007, -3/+57Umm, that's not Beethoven's 5th. That's a fifth of Beethoven.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -5/+54This is a rip off.
He stole this from Beethoven's 70's ripoff disco song.
So in other words, this is a ripoff of a ripoff. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -5/+37this has to be the worst thing i've ever heard
- painting, on 10/12/2007, -1/+32The trick to enjoying this video is sliding the volume to bar to the left.
- oriolesfan, on 10/12/2007, -4/+34http://www.rebeldjs.com/AplusD_BeethovensFifthGoldDigger.mp3
- jeffgreco, on 10/12/2007, -4/+29Submitter's obviously never listened to many mashups.
- NoStoppingUs, on 10/12/2007, -6/+25george bush doesnt care about black people.
- OhJay, on 10/12/2007, -0/+19No, it's not. It's not well done. It's completely off at times.
- Xanadude, on 10/12/2007, -20/+38I refuse to listen to that. I'm sure it's well-mixed, but mashing up a song like "Golddigger" with any version of Beethoven's Fifth is utter sacrilege.
- soogy, on 10/12/2007, -1/+15Yeah, this isn't Beethoven's 5th. The second the song started I just told myself "people don't know classical music anymore."
Anyhow, this is actually:
Gold Digger =
Kanye West's Gold Digger
+ Ray Charles' I Got a Woman
+ Walter Murphy's A Fifth of Beethoven
+ Beethoven's Symphony No. 5 - siodine, on 10/12/2007, -3/+15Kanye West sounds like someone with down syndrome reading a script in a monotone voice.
- Shaggy6ster, on 10/12/2007, -2/+14i like kanye. i like beethoven.
that was horrid.
the lyrics didnt go with the beat at all. - Platypus3333, on 10/12/2007, -3/+12I'm not sure why people appear to be bashing Kanye West for a mashup/ripoff that he didn't actually make. As explained in both the Youtube comments and this Digg thread, the mashup was produced by some amateur fans. Seizing upon this as an example of why hip hop requires little musical talent is a little misguided.
- OhJay, on 10/12/2007, -4/+14How does the fact that some bored teenager named A+D spent 30 minutes in FruityLoops to create this mediocre mashup say /anything/ about hip hop?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -10/+18Wow, this barely even qualifies as a remix; it's outright theft of Walter Murphy's "Fifth of Beethoven." This is a PERFECT example of why some people hate hip-hop and claim it requires little musical talent. They did next to no work to release this song.
- danmanx, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9Kanye? Beethoven?
Am I in the Twilight Zone? - unitedkronos, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7http://classicsnoop.ytmnd.com
Another rap vocal mixed with some classical music, it's not a full track but still related to the subject. - ReRunx5, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6another Golddigger remix using Manah Manha ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7wMHcpMmV9g )
Lenlow - Kayne Mahna
http://www.musicremixed.org/lenlow/Lenlow%20-%20Kanye%20Mahna.mp3 - dagonweb, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7Deeply annoying superficial sexist exploitative repetitive done-to-death crap rap. And MTV airs this filth what, half the day? Makes me puke.
- joaob, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Everyone digg this down so I can make sure it peaks everyones curiosity.
KANYE WEST HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS.
This is a fan mashup. Stick to computer talk because obviously no one here has ears for music. - Fabozz, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5That's pretty harsh, to call Beethoven's 5th Symphony a fly-by-night load of crap.
- TeKoverride, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4I couldn't take much of that.
- ReelToReel, on 10/12/2007, -4/+7Girl Talk's Night Ripper officially ended the mash-up...
- flameboy, on 10/12/2007, -8/+11You can hear more mashups by the same people here: http://www.rebeldjs.com/
There are links to the mp3s on the bottom right - Hermitwise, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Jonathan Coulton mash up- Chicago and The Beatles
http://www.jonathancoulton.com/mp3/When%20I'm%2025%20or%2064.mp3 - boberto, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Don't forget to give credit to Ray Charles, who originally wrote and performed "I got a woman"
So how many samples does that make in this one song? - stateq2, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4agree 100%
- elfuego, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3If this is one of the best mashups you've heard, you SERIOUSLY need to hear more mashups.
- Schug, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Cake's version of Mahna Mahna, sweet!
- Modulo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3@theToecutter: It's a mashup you dillhole. As in this was made by fans, not Kanye West.
- kspurgeon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Yeah not the best mashup I've ever heard

http://www.myspace.com/divideandkreate - NoozeHound, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4orioles fan is a fool. Totally ***** mash-up that barely works and, as stated above, not Beethoven. Quite possible the worst mash I've ever had the misfortune to hear.
- tanameyer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2A rapper named A+ used the same instrumental on a song called "Express Yourself". That song was actually pretty good too. In fact I like it better because the lyrics were written for the instrumental so it flowed better. It's not a mash-up like this song.
- blinddub, on 10/12/2007, -12/+14Kanye west is horrible, I refuse to listen to anything with him in it.
- unitedkronos, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2People reading this topic need to remember that this is a unofficial fan-made 'A vs. B' mashup, Kanye West probobly doesn't endorse it and the original version's better in my opinion. Maybe producing a new mix of the Beethoven disco instrumental would give it a new kick of life. Just a few related links...
http://www.gybo-v3.co.uk - Get Your Bootleg On Forum, one of the best places to talk and find mashups.
http://www.madmaximillion.com/mashups/ChristinaAguileravs.Eminem-JustLoseItToNoOtherMan.mp3 - This uses the instrumental to Christina's track, which itself samples two tracks by The Moon People. - Zopwx2, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Yeah its a mashup between Kanye and the Electric Light Orchestra version of B's fifth from teh 70's.
- OhJay, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3You make it sound like rockbands never rip off other rockbands and steal their riffs wholesale. Ha.
Why do so many people have a problem distinguishing something that clearly states it's a fan made effort with something official from Kanye?
That said, the mixing is lousy and the end result bad. - CiXeL, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2best mashup ive ever heard which got LOTS of radio airplay on the indy radio station in LA was Boulevard of Broken Songs which was Green Day's Boulevard of Broken Dreams crossed with Oasis - Wonderwall
I cant hear either song now without singing the other half. - WomunOfColour, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Yeah, that's what it reminded me of, except it's "Enjoy Yourself".

"We Need A Filthy War" = fantastic
http://www.djearworm.lunarpages.com/We_Need_a_Filthy_War.mp3 - Tweekster, on 10/12/2007, -12/+14he truely is a talentless hack,
his songs are total garbage - kryptogrowl, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2that was better than kanye's "orginal" version
- Lenlow, on 12/26/2008, -0/+1Woooo.
- Foenetik, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1not bad from a technical viewpoint, but how anyone in their right mind can listen to kanye is well beyond me.
if you're interested in mashups I suggest you check out djbc's site

- thoth92, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1While I don't like the actual rap songs, I love the mashups. For example Jay-Z=Ick, Grey Album=Sweet.
