Sure, SJ probably wrote that last year trying to dodge antitrust prosecution in Europe, but after iTunes started shedding some DRM, the trend had been set, DRM-free wasn't just for indie anymore...
Early 2008, and the DRM dark age for music has basically been averted. Not that I would have cared too much if Paris Hilton's debut album were lost to history because of DRM...
