- Pie_Man, on 10/12/2007, -2/+30Wow...you can even get spyware from all over the world too!
- wbowman, on 10/12/2007, -1/+16"Almost any radio in the world" is not accurate. It should say almost any STREAMING radio station. Pick any smaller (population) state in the US and you'll find only a hand full of stations even though there are dozens if not hundreds in some cases. It is a great site to locate interesting streaming audio, but the post doesn't say that.
- kolop1, on 10/12/2007, -3/+13 Wow what junk.
The web design looks 10 years old. - teeemoy, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10i just wish they had a way to browse by genre...
...or they do, and i'm not looking around enough... - Odweaver, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8Dr. Doom has a radio station?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -4/+11I'm so tired of these extreme headlines. Stop trying to get your story dugg and just submit good stories, the rest will follow if your story is worth while.
- twertyto, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7http://www.radio-locator.com
Allows you to search by genre. It's been around for a while and has a much better search...also worldwide. Has lots of geeky info about the stations as well. - timmayk, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4To avoid the pop ups go to:
European Stations: http://www.live-radio.net/european.shtml
Africa: http://www.live-radio.net/africa.shtml
Worldwide: http://www.live-radio.net/worldwide.shtml
US: http://www.live-radio.net/us.shtml
Canada: http://www.live-radio.net/canada_splash.shtml
Ugly Site, but good content nonetheless - fofusion, on 10/12/2007, -9/+12I've had enough of these idiots who are no digg no digg. mehhh has too much adverts no digg no digg.
Get a life for gods sake you cant complain with free, they have to support themeselves somehow so adverts are required so they can keep the site running. - richardiscool, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5I'm involved with developing an updated (alright, Web 2.0) site of this type. It's still under development, and has only a handful of stations at the moment (it's in the VERY early stages...), but you can see it progress: http://www.radioo.net
- john570, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4"Listen to any radio station in the world!"
After about 20 pop ups. - Leech, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3pandora doesn't play online radios... pls read before talk...
- Radscott, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3"Really the slowest speed of modem which you will be able to use for satisfactory results is 28.8k - most new computers come with 56k modems nowadays, but if you are still using a 28.8, it might be worth upgrading/replacing: prices are coming down all the time. There will be some stations which will not be "receivable" well on a 28.8 modem, so obviously the faster the modem, the better, and when using the Real Networks player, it will adjust the quality of the audio automatically, depending on the speed of your connection - the faster the speed, the higher the quality. It really is fascinating being able to listen to stations from all over the world! The modem speed is no longer as much of an issue however, as broadband becomes more widely available."
Oh cool. I was looking for an excuse to upgrade my 9600 baud modem. I'm going to look into one of those hard drive thingys to replace my cassette drive, too. - serrebi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2http://www.mikesradioworld.com
is better. It is very regularly updated. The author answers emails, and updates a lot. - trakais, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5wooow, cool. even Latvia is there!
- sniegas, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4Nice. There are 16 streaming radios (see http://audio.lt ) in Lithuania (if there's Latvia and Estonia, there must be Lithuania too (; ) and they show 9 of them. That's really enough.
- Sagarian, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3I'd also check out http://www.radiotime.com
- twertyto, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1You suck.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+4I've been using this site for years and it has really gotten good in the last year or so!
- GLSmyth, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2This is okay, but I like podcasts better, since you get to decide when you want to listen to something (and it's platform independent, so Linux is just fine).
- toppur, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Ertu íslendingur?
- Indrek, on 10/12/2007, -3/+4And Estonia too. I'm impressed. Listening to the local classical radio station now.
- happyniceday, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2too many obtrusive trick ads for me to give it a digg
- arizonabay, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Nifty website.
On another note, when oh when is RealPlayer going to die it's overdue death? It seems many radio stations continue to use this format for its streaming audio - Radscott, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2@DarthTurducken: Actually, advertisers pay radio stations to carry their commercials. Some of the creative forces behind commercials may have wanted some money from their clients. But, the real reason more stations don't stream is because ASCAP and BMI want stations to pay a licensing fee to stream their artists. This is in addition to the fee that stations already pay to broadcast the music.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0damn you, popups! There should have been a warning!
- hawkins339, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0http://quove.com/Listen_to_live_Radio_stations_online.htm has alot of radio stations from around the world.
- benadamson, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Yeah, so .... I've tried searching for numerous local stations and haven't found a single one.
No digg. - troublemaker, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Four letters: L, A, M and E.
I don't know if the submitter is the author of this website, but if you are:
EASY ON THE ADS, LAD!
Or wait, is this website competing in the "Who can put the most annoying ads on ONE website" competition? If so, you're running for 1st place. - Leech, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1http://www.screamer-radio.com/ - damn cool program to play radios, with an always growing list of quality radios..
- siler10, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0and another :
http://onlineradio.yamour.com/ - mactavish, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3If you like this, you should check out some of the great players for internet radio.
I chose the squeezebox (www.slimdevices.com). Open source hardware player with lots of plug ins for internet radio. Let's me get all the BBC feeds including stored "listen again" stuff.
Makes me wonder why anyone would pay for satellite radio at home. - wtnr, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0having a great variety is definitely a plus - but if you want your world music filtered tastefully
with no commercials, no logins, no "I can't stream that" drama, no popups and no requests
check out http://www.wtnrradio.com - Canicio has a great World Music series midday Wednesdays
not to mention all the other great shows from DJs all over the globe. - chabuhi, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Cool idea, but quite a number of the links seem to be broken ...
- Yankees368, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Wow, i've always wanted to listen to Q104.3 HD 2 on my laptop in streaming 32kb/s
Useless - grennan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Yup - Free SpyWare and crapy streaming audio!
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I just checked my home state, and found exactly 0 of the stations I was looking for. Of the three in the city I lived in, 2 of them were ***** PBS/NPR stations, and the other was the university station. Nothing commercial. So is the headline accurate? Not a chance. It's just another website that's apparently mixing public radio stations with some commercial ones, then claiming to cover a ton.
Flagged as inaccurate due to the title. - xr56n44, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0www.shoutcast.com works me

- CalBruin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Ironic that this should be posted during this time.
While the FIFA World Cup is happening, no one outside Europe or Africa can listen to any radio stream that is non-music.
As one hoping to studying my German and find a radio stream of pure vocal German news or information radio stream, I am off put by the blocks against hearing news or non-music streams because I am outside Germany.
Likewise for those hoping to hear some of the BBC or other European radio streams. - newevilmind, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Radio sucks
- johnnyhay, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0This site is really helping me with my japanese. Arigato.
- snarkyman, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0This is my favorite site, including grid listings.
http://www.publicradiofan.com/
It's also completely customizable without requiring a login. - jinexile, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1Didn't have my radio stations, a few pretty popular ones at that... there's only feed for Calgary, I hardly say that any (or even "almost any.") I'm going to have to report as innaccurate. I really wish people would stop using sensationalist titles to get diggs.
- zahadum, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0yahoo widget is OK i guess .... but i want to find a way to (automagically) add these urls to iTunes (because i want to have only one not ten media apps open).
adding individualy urls is possible manually with iTunes; but I am wondering if this aggregator site uses RSS - or any other publishing mechanism that can be imported/inter-changed.
any thought? - Jaymoon, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2For anyone interested, there's a lot of radio widgets for the Yahoo Widget Engine for various radio stations around the world....
http://widgetgallery.com/index.php?category=5 - livestradamus, on 10/12/2007, -6/+4have you heard about the new innovation? they are called pop up blockers, i think
- latz, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1I still prefer shoutcast radio stations!
- Odweaver, on 10/12/2007, -5/+3thats strange, site advisor marks it with a green checkmark, you should report it.
