- inactive, on 08/29/2008, -6/+71Limewire is for noobs.
- Cwolf267, on 08/29/2008, -3/+50It's not limewire unless it's dripping with spyware.
- JFallon126, on 08/29/2008, -7/+44I could not care less. Sorry.
- sikosmurf, on 08/29/2008, -1/+26I was almost certain this was an Onion article...
- DyceFreak, on 08/29/2008, -1/+25DRM free and SPYWARE full!
- Slackersrule, on 08/29/2008, -1/+23Dugg for proper use of the phrase.
- Cattywampus, on 08/29/2008, -1/+21"You" does not equal "no one."
- MacTyler, on 08/29/2008, -2/+20If you have a bowl of oatmeal, and somebody throws a pound of pure oat grains into your bowl. Did your bowl of oatmeal really just double?
- BigE89, on 08/29/2008, -4/+20These are from bands that no one has ever heard of.....
at least i haven't - Jerky1312, on 08/29/2008, -3/+19Diggers will notify everyone.
- magneteye, on 08/29/2008, -0/+15Too little. Too late.
- connieLingus, on 08/29/2008, -2/+16ever since frostwire came out, limewire = lamewire.
- kh99, on 08/29/2008, -2/+15You know why that is? Because music companies spend lots of money promoting the bands that you *have* heard of.
- Livewire, on 08/29/2008, -1/+11there is no spoon...
- inactive, on 08/29/2008, -1/+10Frostwire.
- Dylson, on 08/29/2008, -1/+10Limewire makes me want to *****.
- Philbert, on 08/29/2008, -0/+8I read the description and said "they have a store?"
- byobyob, on 08/29/2008, -0/+8So you're saying that... uh... they need to mix the new songs with water and microwave them for 2 minutes? I'm not sure I follow.
- wukillabee, on 08/29/2008, -5/+13p2p is still the best for downloading single tracks, ares always has scene release tracks, promos, etc, but you gotta know how to spot them :)
- DOCKAUF55, on 08/29/2008, -0/+8knock knock it's the police, Bitch.
- ZaZ2137, on 08/29/2008, -0/+7Please point us to the source of this information.
- inactive, on 08/29/2008, -0/+7LOLWUT?
- KingFog, on 08/29/2008, -0/+6Limewire uses P2P...
- ITNick, on 08/29/2008, -0/+6Limewire? You mean that software that gives me hours of oh so fun work to do on client machines? Wait when did they become "legit"?
- clumsytime, on 08/29/2008, -0/+6^ Seriously. I have had arguments with people who claim "I could care less" is correct, they claim that it's like saying "I could give a *****!" ... it's rare that I hear someone say it correctly...so dugg and dugg.
- jakatak, on 08/29/2008, -0/+6The RIAA has no choice but to act like piracy doesn't exist. Fighting piracy was killing them and their already bad reputation.
BTW, Limewire is so 2001. - inactive, on 08/29/2008, -0/+6and that is why you fail
- luke255, on 08/29/2008, -1/+6destron ≠ correct
limewire = p2p - drouk1556, on 08/29/2008, -1/+6It only installs the iTunes program, QuickTime, Apple Software Update, and the Bonjour service. It might install Safari if you don't read the prompts.
- Zaeboes, on 08/29/2008, -0/+5@luke255
p2p through a server sucks. My college gets dozens of letters a week about pirating on limewire. Way too easy to get caught. - niteskunk, on 08/29/2008, -2/+7What the ***** are you talking about
- icksturminator, on 08/29/2008, -1/+5it a fail
- laofmoonster, on 08/30/2008, -0/+4Limewire still exists?!?
- chinolofus, on 08/29/2008, -0/+4need a lozenge?
- renesisx, on 08/29/2008, -0/+4The Orchard? LOL. When I worked for OD2 (now Nokia) we got the whole Orchard catalogue on board around 2001. I don't think we'd heard of a single one of their artists. It's not exactly a massive coup they have here.
- Acglaphotis, on 08/30/2008, -0/+4That just kills all the hope you had to get a quality mp3.
- Br3ach, on 08/29/2008, -5/+8People still use Limewire?
Well, it is cool they are expanding out of the legal hotzone and offering up some free legit goodies. Ill have to check it out again. - Acglaphotis, on 08/29/2008, -1/+4Ares is where it's at.
- inactive, on 08/30/2008, -1/+4***** THE RIAA
- luke255, on 08/29/2008, -2/+5iTunes runs on QuickTime. You need it, Mac or Windows. It also asks when you install if you want to keep apple programs up to date, if you uncheck it guess what: no Apple Software Update.
As for Internet Explorer...seriously. I hope one day you forget to uncheck that little box next to Safari. IE is holding the Internet back. If you hate Apple just use Firefox but IE?! If you must use IE try this: Control Panel > Quick Time > Browser (Tab) > MIME Settings... > Uncheck all boxes. Easy. Never heard of QuickTime messing with IE though tbh...
Tell your friends that if they type "iTunes" in Google and click any old link they're going to get malware (if they run Windows!). It's a great way for malware developers to get their stuff onto gullible people's computers. These types of people are the ones who think when the Windows XP styled box jumps round the screen with a flashing X and a message saying "Your computer is infected, please click here to fix" they need to click it. There is nothing Apple can do about this and it is not their fault.
Take the tinfoil off your head and get down off the chair B1663r, Apple are not trying to steal your thoughts. - samimnot, on 08/29/2008, -0/+3LimeWire Advertisement...
"Just like having unprotected sex with a hooker...but for your computer" - anagoge, on 08/29/2008, -0/+3WinMX ftw.
- duckyinc, on 08/29/2008, -0/+3"free"
O Rly? - jtbell04, on 08/30/2008, -0/+2Do you often hear something moving over your head, something that sounds a bit like a jet? Maybe a loud "Whoosh"?
- WillisDickfit, on 08/29/2008, -0/+2Actually, ever since limewire came out, limewire = lamewire.
- Br3ach, on 08/29/2008, -0/+2Er, DRM-Free I meant, sorry
