- ShannonGB, on 01/07/2009, -1/+91Well then it won't be Led Zep any more.
- AmyVernon, on 01/07/2009, -1/+64Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones tour with some other guys.
There, fixed your title. - inactive, on 01/07/2009, -2/+34Some bands can get by without their classic lineup...Led Zep isn't one of them. There was good reason to break up after Bonham died. Oh, and Steven Tyler would blow doing Zep. Ugh.
- inactive, on 01/07/2009, -2/+28Without Plant, that isn't Led Zeppelin. It's just a Zinc Dirigible, and nobody likes those.
- mikbunn, on 01/07/2009, -1/+25It's already not Zeppelin without Bonzo.
- NeoCortex, on 01/07/2009, -0/+13So when Jones was left out, they performed as Page and Plant.
With Plant being left out, they're still going with Led Zeppelin? No, just no. - IpwnZnoobs, on 01/07/2009, -2/+15They'll still sell out anywhere within minutes.
- dronesixtyten, on 01/07/2009, -2/+14No Bonham, No Plant = No Zeppelin
- inactive, on 01/07/2009, -0/+11I've met Robert Plant a few times. He comes to town about once a year, and he's a nice enough guy. I asked him last year, when the stories were first circulating about the band wanting to record, if he was interested. He basically said that Zeppelin was over and done with, and that it would be a parody if they tried to recreate it. I think he's got a point, actually. But, yeah... they shouldn't use the Zeppelin name on this project without him.
- rgaino, on 01/07/2009, -0/+11The difference is that Madonna without Madonna would be actually better than Madonna with Madonna.
- msaleem, on 01/07/2009, -0/+11Innacurate. Without Plant there is no Led Zep (and of course no Bonzo).
- oboredone, on 01/07/2009, -4/+12Its not Led Zeppelin without Plant. Tour fails.
- drmobutu, on 01/07/2009, -5/+12It's twenty years too late, for me to be excited about this...
- wtfhacksDan, on 01/07/2009, -0/+7Bonham, well Jason Bonham =(
- TheNik, on 01/07/2009, -0/+7So just Ringo Starr?
- oboshoe, on 01/07/2009, -0/+7I love Led Zepplin, but this is really different band with two zepplin dudes.
Still. I was too young to go to their concerts when they were in their prime. Sure would be tempting to go say that I can say I went to a Zepplin concert. That temptation will probably fade when I see the ticket price though. - astroslut, on 01/07/2009, -0/+7This article has no new information.
None.
Until you have something new to add, stop ***** wasting my time reading an article with nothing new to add.
Let me know when you announce a singer, until then it's PR *****.
buried, and I love Zeppelin. - Lucas123, on 01/07/2009, -2/+9That's like saying the Beatles are going to perform without McCartney. Fail.
- NeoCortex, on 01/07/2009, -0/+7I could support it if it was Page, Plant, Jones, and Bonham's son. That's the closest we could ever get to a reunion, and he's still a damn good drummer.
- Shaggy3, on 01/07/2009, -1/+7No Bonham and their barely Zeppelin, let alone losing one of the others.
- MrFisty, on 01/07/2009, -0/+6I find this weird. When Bonzo died they refused to replace him saying that it wouldn't be Zep without the original lineup. Obviously times change, but Zep without Bonzo is one thing. Zep with Plant is something else altogether.
- inactive, on 01/07/2009, -0/+6They won't tour under the Zep name.
Plant is committed to other things right now, so whatever. - smashingmonkey, on 01/07/2009, -0/+6They should take a page from The Dead's playbook and just call themselves Zeppelin.
- meruru, on 01/07/2009, -0/+6That would be a great name for the tour and album
- ralftom, on 01/07/2009, -3/+9that would be foolish. Not the same though without Robert Plant.
- Narcism, on 01/07/2009, -0/+5It was a long shot, but I dugg you.
- ultraJesus, on 01/07/2009, -0/+5Boooooo
- WhoDoneIt, on 01/07/2009, -1/+6Do you know how I know you smoke crack?
- santiago1, on 01/07/2009, -0/+5How about if they announce Bruce Willis taking over for Robert Plant?
- mywhitenoise, on 01/07/2009, -0/+5Ridiculous to give that guy ***** for letting Puff Daddy use his guitar riff from 'Kashmir' to a Godzilla soundtrack. Big deal, dude. How many other times did he lend his skill to other rappers?
- diggity74, on 01/07/2009, -1/+6Not sure how this will turn out, but Myles Kennedy of Alter Bridge would be a hell of a fill in. I've heard him do some Zep covers with Alter Bridge and he nails them every time.

Of course it's not Led Zeppelin without Plant and Bonham, but this would still be a good show with Kennedy. - moog, on 01/07/2009, -0/+5Let's have it for a resounding "BOOO!" Zep ain't Zep without Plant.
- turtlegroove, on 01/07/2009, -2/+7I hear Scott Stapp is available! He can add some jesus-y buttrock growling to the classics..
- jba68, on 01/07/2009, -0/+4Yippe Ki Yay *****
- WhoDoneIt, on 01/07/2009, -1/+5"Jimmy Page has been playing guitar professionally since he was 16 years old. Jimmy Page likes being a musician. "
All I could think about is the Seinfeld episode where Jimmy talks in first person. - Troyjinman, on 01/07/2009, -0/+4This is absolutely absurd and in no way is it Led Zeppelin with out Plant.
- hagusmcfee, on 01/07/2009, -0/+4Come on Plant, get on the trolley
- avrygoodfrnd, on 01/07/2009, -0/+4How so?
- EricSchC1, on 01/07/2009, -0/+4"John Paul Jones, in the long run, is the most kick-ass musician of the bunch."
Most Juliard graduates are. - garryw, on 01/07/2009, -1/+5Without robert plant eh? Why not a Madonna concert without Madonna then.
- inactive, on 01/07/2009, -0/+4Kennedy's a decent guitar player. I'm sure he'd be fine backing up Page during his solos. He doesn't step on Tremonti's toes, so he sure wouldn't step on Page's.
- krahzee, on 01/07/2009, -1/+5If they don't use the Zep name I've got no issue with this. It's not like they didn't invite Plant. If the three of them have a good time doing this then great for them.
- magneteye, on 01/08/2009, -0/+4Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones and Jason Bonham tour with some other guy.
There, fixed your title. - Slashered, on 01/07/2009, -0/+4well, it is innacurate on how extremely lame this is, but if they do tour it probably will be under the name Led Zeppelin. Though if they did do one last tour, even without Robert Plant, I have a feeling I'd still want to go, though it will no way be as amazing as it should be.
- inactive, on 01/07/2009, -0/+4I hate how the media twists this idea. I repeat!: They won't tour under the Zep name.
- inactive, on 01/07/2009, -4/+8Nothing can be worse then what Axl did to Guns and Roses with Chinese Democracy. Nothing.
- FeloniusMonkey, on 01/07/2009, -0/+3It was a joke... only an ELO fan know would know who Jeff Lynne is.
- therslweblog, on 01/07/2009, -0/+3How about Axl taking over for Robert Plant? That would suck way worse than Chinese Democracy. (Which is a hard thing to do!)
- LogicBomB, on 01/07/2009, -1/+4I'll still see them without hesitation - regardless of how "not zep" people think it is, it's the closest I'll ever see in my lifetime.
I'll take it and embrace it with open ears (while secretly giving the finger to Plant the entire time). - inactive, on 01/07/2009, -0/+3Seen AB live a few times. Kennedy would rock the hell out of Zeppelin songs.
