Rock And Roll - vulminiha, on 12/11/2007, -0/+26God I hope they play a few shows in the states. On the off chance that they do, anyone in the market for a kidney, slightly used?
- janette68, on 12/11/2007, -6/+26Been a long time since I rock and rolled...
- rosullivan, on 12/11/2007, -2/+19Go crawl back up inside your mommy's vagina and try again, jackass. Led Zeppelin REDEFINED rock and roll and influenced almost every rock band that exists today in some way, shape or form. Now, back to your mom's vagina you go... scoot scoot...
- theuber1337, on 12/11/2007, -0/+13Just a legend.
- markperia, on 12/11/2007, -0/+11what did you expect?
- rikwakefield, on 12/11/2007, -1/+12Awesome.
Makes me proud to be English :) - Cinaga, on 12/11/2007, -0/+10It may not be your type of "band", but you can't deny the sheer combined talent of this band is legendary. They wrote the book for a lot of bands...probably even bands that you might like.
- inactive, on 12/11/2007, -1/+11Just the greatest band.
- NeverOffside, on 12/11/2007, -0/+10I was there, 6 rows from the front stage. Fantastic footage.
- Icebath, on 12/11/2007, -0/+10That show looked hot. I hope they make a tour of it.
BTW, Robert Plant's voice is about soul and tone. Even without the high notes of old, a voice like that gets better with age. More subtle to be sure, but way more character -- less girl, more gravel like a proper aging blues man should sound. - pepperpotts, on 12/11/2007, -0/+8Best. Band. Ever. *hopes they do at least 2 US dates
- markperia, on 12/11/2007, -0/+8Let me guess... You like Fall Out Boy don't you?
- chris9902, on 12/11/2007, -1/+9shut it you pop-tart
- AlexGrant, on 12/11/2007, -0/+8Maybe you should read that other article on the front page about how pleasurable music activates the same part of the brain as cocaine.
- ZoomBoy, on 12/11/2007, -0/+8So, you could say you like Led Zeppelin?
- inactive, on 12/11/2007, -1/+8I would've paid my entire life savings just to look at the show from a window. I grew up with Led Zeppelin and I always missed their concerts... These guys pretty much wrote the soundtrack of my life. Best parties, best dates, best whatever: all to the music of Led Zeppelin. I would wake up to Led Zeppelin and I'd go to sleep with Led Zeppelin.
They are the Gods of rock for *****'s sake. - kinseyincanada, on 12/11/2007, -0/+7did you seriously just ask if anyone still listens to the Beatles......
- Icebath, on 12/11/2007, -1/+8Okay, Trolly McTroll.
- IanPatterson, on 12/11/2007, -0/+7*****, Thanks dude
- joeleslie, on 12/11/2007, -0/+6It's been a long time since I did the stroll.
- inactive, on 12/11/2007, -4/+10If only I had known... I would've sold my house to be there. I'm not even kidding.
- Twoodge, on 12/11/2007, -1/+7He can still sing Rock and Roll in its original melody just two steps lower... not bad! And almost the same for the ending of Stairway. Plant's been improving throughout the decade.
- buggles, on 12/11/2007, -3/+9They would make so much money with a tour. They don't even have to sound good. People would go just to say they saw them live. I bet they would make more money in one year than they could possibly spend the rest of their lives.
- CapeKid, on 12/11/2007, -2/+8Actually, I still think it is really good. Listen to his latest CD with Alison Krauss, the man can still sing.
- bjs3171, on 12/11/2007, -2/+8please never refer to anything Led Zeppelin does as being "hot". "***** awesome", "incredible", even "off the hook", but not a term made popular by Paris Hilton. please.
- Justizzle, on 12/11/2007, -0/+6If I could digg you up 100 times, I would.
- Lewie, on 12/11/2007, -0/+6I would give [nearly] anything to see Led Zeppelin! My house is going to have a shrine dedicated to them. I was totally born in the wrong decade...
- shadash, on 12/11/2007, -0/+6Jimmy Page was the reason I started playing guitar. I've been playing for over 20 years and he's STILL light years better than I am. Nobody else can put together a bunch of slop notes together that don't seem to make much sense and come out with something better than you've ever heard before.
BTW Jimmy's amps distortion is what guitars are supposed to sound like. - Dreadly, on 12/11/2007, -0/+6If you are not a fan that is fine but why bother reading/watching/commenting in that case? Pretty sad. BTW, if you believe they are the lamest ***** in the world that means you like John Tesh and Milli Vanilli better....lololol
- NeverOffside, on 12/11/2007, -0/+5:) Just got back. My pics are here - http://www.flickr.com/photos/neveroffside/
They were ten times better than I was expecting. They REALLY did sound fantastic. Ribcage vibrating bass for Dazed and Confused was probably the most mesmerising moment. I mean, I was listening to that setlist, LIVE, 30 feet away, from the best band in the world. - ngmcs8203, on 12/11/2007, -0/+4Listening to the opening of Stairway just made the hair on the back of my neck stand up.
- Braingoo, on 12/11/2007, -1/+5as well it should
- xOpifex, on 12/11/2007, -0/+4That is a rumor that has already been shot down.
- aethelberga, on 12/11/2007, -0/+4How close are you to Tennessee?
http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/news/upcoming_tours ... - yoshimaroka, on 12/11/2007, -0/+4Real early Zeppelin clip of Dazed and Confused:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xajqf-PhO8s&feature ... - patsfan456, on 12/11/2007, -0/+4The Beatles are good, but I think Led Zeppelin applies a lot more to today's music.
- inactive, on 12/11/2007, -0/+4Meh, somewhat :)
- matthughes, on 12/11/2007, -1/+5and you're just a douche
- TheSnuffster, on 12/11/2007, -0/+3Who on earth waves an American flag at, firstly, a Led Zeppelin gig, and second, in England?
http://www.flickr.com/photos/neveroffside/21030386 ... - AZTriGuy, on 12/11/2007, -0/+3That YouTube footage above was great, but hopefully they will release the professional recording of this on DVD. I haven't seen Jimmy Page in years, he seems to have aged the least gracefully of the bunch, but damn, he can still rock n' roll.
- Nick519, on 12/11/2007, -0/+3thank you. i wish i could find a clip of the end of the show, when jason bonham got down on his knees and bowed to them. this show better come out, unedited, on DVD, that's all i'm saying.
- ShootTheCore, on 12/11/2007, -0/+3Last.fm charts say yes
- Cinaga, on 12/11/2007, -0/+3Sorry if was one of our favorite bands that got back together for an incredible show and not one of yours. Maybe there will be a Color Me Badd reunion tour in the works next year.
- laceration, on 12/11/2007, -3/+6The Beatles have always been regarded as the greatest band ever, but does anyone still listen to them? Led Zeppelin withstanding the test of time.
- Nick519, on 12/11/2007, -0/+3dammit -- "rock 'n' roll" has been removed.... : (
- omnithought, on 12/11/2007, -1/+4Folks, don't watch this, watch the links that others have posted above! This clip makes it seem terrible. The others...just...holy ***** ***** it's awesome!
- inactive, on 12/11/2007, -1/+4Well I kind of stopped looking for their concerts when they disassembled 20+ years ago.
- Mexrocker, on 12/11/2007, -0/+2Man I would have given up so many organs to be at that show =[.
BOOO!!! YouTube is taking down the videos of the concert! -
