Paul Simon first and fore most has been performing longer then Black Sabbath and has arguably had a broader impact. Aretha Franklin is the "Queen of Soul" but her contribution in rock and blues have been outstanding. Remember, the criteria for the Hall of Fame isn't just how heavy can you rock.

On the other hand, Kiss had one stupid bubble gum pop song, 'Rock And Roll All Night', and that is it. Disclaimer: I'm not even a big U2 fan. I've met Kiss's former tour manager and they will never get Rock and Roll HOF without big bribes because they are everything that is wrong with the music industry. They once had an event where they charged people 100 bucks to get in, had a COVER BAND play all their songs, and sold copies of their platinum albums for 50 bucks each, 100 with autographs. They're total Sleezballs, however catchy and popular their music may be.

You should be ashamed for comparing him to Kiss. That's like comparing Aretha Franklin to Paris Hilton as a diva.
