- Phlex330, on 11/15/2007, -32/+279George Bush & plastic surgeons hate black people.
- InfinitySnatch, on 11/14/2007, -24/+171He can have my sympathy, but ***** respect.
- MikeonTV, on 11/15/2007, -22/+165Can we rule out 50 Cents involvement yet?
- ArthurArchnix, on 11/14/2007, -8/+150In other news, 12,000 mothers died in the U.S. yesterday and didn't make digg.com, thus being spared both the keyboard heroics of the moral outrage brigade as well as the tasteless comments of the teenage moron division.
- Icanndiggit, on 11/15/2007, -94/+176Digg me down if you want. But the lame insensitive comments need to stop. Regardless of your view of Kanye, he deserves your respect during this time. For crying out loud, his mother died.
- lousyhunter, on 11/14/2007, -16/+88Frankly he doesn't deserve my respect, or my attention for that matter. While I agree there's little sense in bashing the man after such a tragedy, why must I feel sorry for people I never knew? This sentiment is especially strengthened considering the nature of the poor woman's unnecessary death from unnecessary surgery.
- Hickeroar, on 11/14/2007, -12/+83People die all the time. This lady deserves no more press time than my aunt (in-law) who died post-surgery or anyone else's family member who died in or after surgery. This is a sad fact of life, not to mention this lady made a choice to alter her body in an unnatural and unneeded way.
The ONLY reason this is in the news is because of Kanye's position in the media... Kanye just so happens to be a complete moron. I'm with InfinitySnatch in saying he gets my sympathy in the same way I'd give it to anyone, but he's never going to get an ounce of respect from me. He can grow up and lose the racist attitude and then maybe he'll deserve an ounce of attention. - Bukowsky, on 11/15/2007, -8/+62The article doesn't mention the plastic surgery part.... but the reason why I put it in there, is because I heard them talking about it on the radio this morning. The same radio station that this article comes from. So....I guess, those reports are still "unconfirmed"...
Take it for what you will. - knetworx, on 11/14/2007, -15/+63I don't see why anyone would digg this comment down. It IS really sad that we've gotten to the point where people are dying in/for plastic surgery. It's ridiculous what lengths people go to look good.
Natural beauty FTW! - slayerab, on 11/15/2007, -10/+58Wow, she was 58, who was she trying to impress?
- Ndiggnation, on 11/14/2007, -10/+57Glad to know it's a such a tragedy for you personally..
- DesertDude, on 11/15/2007, -6/+51Where I come from, there's a saying: "Every man is a child, until his mother dies". No matter what your race, country, social status, profession, sex or age is, not a lot of things are as emotionally painful as losing your mother. Not amount of money or fame can help you with that.
- lOvOl, on 11/13/2007, -38/+79Assuming the plastic surgery stuff is true, this is just another example of vanity plain and simple. There is no reason anyone should feel sorry for Kanye and his mother with the exception of Kanye and his family who naturally would grieve at the loss of a loved one for any reason.
Call me prejudiced, but whenever I meet someone who I know has had work done and they don't have a good excuse besides wanting to look "fabulous", it is a huge turnoff to me in terms of viewing them as a person and if that person happens to be female, it gives you them the kind of ugly aura that would be similiar to the feeling you might get from eating a nice juicy Big Mac from McDonald's and then finding out the mayonnaise is not really mayonnaise, but instead the jizz of some Mickey Dee's employee playing a nasty prank.
Plastic surgery is an ugliness that is much more than skin deep. - Istari6, on 11/14/2007, -2/+31Now THAT would be unnecessary surgery. I mean, between her husband and son she already has two of the biggest ***** you'd find anywhere
- KingMoses, on 11/15/2007, -5/+31Remember, kids; elective surgery can be as risky as it is sexy.
- Frostman3D, on 11/15/2007, -21/+44PLASTIC SURGERY DOESN'T CARE ABOUT BLACK PEOPLE!
- Ramble, on 11/14/2007, -9/+27And so did Joe Sixpack's mum.
I don't really give a *****, lets get on to some proper news now. - Superdemon, on 11/15/2007, -8/+26To die in surgery sucks but to die to be pretty is pathetic.
- Hickeroar, on 11/13/2007, -7/+25LOL, if you want to bash a racist, go pick on Kanye...
- LBobRife, on 11/13/2007, -4/+22I don't think anybody deserves to die just for being vain. If she has the money, more power to her. Apparently there are risks inherent, and she took them. I wonder what complications happened to make her die.
- jftitan, on 11/14/2007, -10/+27But his mother does, She was a Educator
- 2shae, on 11/13/2007, -5/+21his mother died and your making a joke about it...you're an *****.
- digichris, on 11/13/2007, -8/+23You know Kanye West had to get tons of plastic surgery after a car accident, so it's not used purely for vanity reasons. But I guess to each their own on how they want their bodies to look. Some ppl get tattoos/piercings , some ppl get cosmetic surgery, to fit in to whatever look they are trying to achieve. I wouldn't criticize ppl who want to change the look of their body.
- lisapham, on 11/15/2007, -54/+68That is very sad... =(
- Bukowsky, on 11/13/2007, -4/+18ok.. the article has now been updated to say She passed Following a 'Cosmetic Procedure'
- northseed, on 11/13/2007, -5/+18i find it a turn off too but i am not filled with horror followed by murderous rage when i see fake boobs
- inactive, on 11/15/2007, -17/+30If it were Bush's Mom that died getting a boob job....Imagine the comments!
- xWintermute, on 11/15/2007, -1/+14Kanye currently undergoing preparations to sue the doctor literally into another dimension.
- ngmcs8203, on 11/15/2007, -1/+14this isn't match.com
- Hickeroar, on 11/13/2007, -1/+13Let's hope not.
- Hickeroar, on 11/13/2007, -4/+16i lolled.
- smackafiyah, on 11/14/2007, -1/+12Digg doesn't care about dead people.
- Monkeywithacold, on 11/15/2007, -1/+12Yeah I always get a good laugh when people die.
- DeviantDragon, on 11/13/2007, -5/+16Reason for feeling sorry: Empathy
- Bostocks, on 11/14/2007, -18/+29So people are insulting his dead mother because they don't care for his music? Does this make any sense?
- lOvOl, on 11/13/2007, -4/+14Well if you see them on TV or whatever. If you actually meet someone who is literally plastic, it kind of makes them seem unhuman in a way.
- superdoofus, on 11/15/2007, -4/+14ok, so some radio station in yokelville, texas weaves her death with info from access hollywood and some online celeb ***** and it's now a legit take on whatever? c'mon *****. next thing i know, secret bat-boy meetings with bin laden and cheney in attendence as substantiated by two different irc chatrooms via a ron paul organizer acting on classified info delivered to a truther in a plain manilla envelope given to him "when the eagle has landed" in some obscure parking garage by a linux user from some citadel-using site will become that which i deem diggable.
sheesh. coroner's report or stfu, there's a difference between sensational suppositions and investigation/facts. - Ravie, on 11/15/2007, -5/+15I have sympathy for the family, but sympathy in the same way as if their family member had died due to accidental drug overdose. You feel sorry for the family's loss, but at the same time know the death was due to the individual's own poor choices.
- terminal157, on 11/15/2007, -0/+10Thanks for sharing that with me, because I couldn't have looked it up on my own if I cared to.
- Archonis, on 11/13/2007, -1/+10Watch as he blames white people
- DesertDude, on 11/13/2007, -5/+14"the vast majority of people have plastic surgery for medical related reasons (e.g. burn/accident victims)"
Doubtful. - skyfire1, on 11/13/2007, -1/+10*vomits*
- PolicePeople, on 11/13/2007, -7/+15To say that there is no reason anyone should feel sorry for Kanye West and his family is incredibly insensitive.
- Balath, on 11/15/2007, -0/+8I lawled. People are too sensitive. Part of why they think they need plastic surgery in the first place.
- shodanx, on 11/13/2007, -3/+11hi,
search digg for "monkey sphere" you will understand why it's impossible to live out that hippy utopia were everybody loves and cares about everyone
also you can have no sympathy for that guy because you don't know him
while at the same time you can hate him for the crap he calls music we're FORCED to listen too
(what the *****, splice up a Daft Punk song, and brag about the ***** you own over it completely asymphonically, that's ear TERRORISM !!!) - kurttrail, on 11/14/2007, -0/+7She first went to a reputable cosmetic surgeon who told her that he wouldn't do it because it was risky, then she went to a guy that wasn't even board certified to do the surgery.
For being so book smart, she was a real dumbasss when it came to real life decisions. - airquotes, on 11/13/2007, -1/+7to be fair, kanye west is also an *****, regardless my condolences
- MetalLizard, on 11/15/2007, -11/+17"Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Dr. Andre Aboolian refused to perform a tummy tuck and breast reduction due to a medical condition and requested medical clearance before performing surgery."
Most women get breast reduction surgery because of pain, etc. She probably thought, "Why not get a tummy tuck as well, since I'm going under the knife?" I really don't think this surgery she had was all in vanity folks, have some sympathy, and don't hate someone on the basis of "cosmetic" surgery. - digichris, on 11/13/2007, -1/+7***** nerd.
- lazyrussian, on 11/14/2007, -0/+6There is a difference between Cosmetic Surgery and Plastic/Reconstructive Surgery.
