he has a chip on both shoulders. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -4/+90Denmarkians do not care about Black people.
- MoonDogAFO, on 10/12/2007, -4/+90MTV Europe must hate black people...at least, that is what I expect Kanye to believe.
- nitsedy, on 10/12/2007, -5/+86MTV DOESN'T CARE ABOUT BLACK PEOPLE WHO JUMP CANYONS!!!!!
- newtypea, on 10/12/2007, -9/+77That's because he is a spoilet Brat punk-ass Baby. You should have seen his face at the American MTV awards, he lost every award he was nominated for, and you could see in his face he was steaming. Good for him.. I can't stand him, he is a moron!
- LOLDOORS, on 10/12/2007, -6/+71They should have left his mouth wired shut after his car wreck.
- Somnolent, on 10/12/2007, -4/+65George bush hates Pamela Anderson.
- merreborn, on 10/12/2007, -11/+59He's such a drama queen. I love it. Dude cracks me up.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+36Anyone remember the initial Apple iPod Nano launch which had Kanye West. His performance sucked so much ass and the reaction of the audience was so bad that Apple later removed his performance from the video of the launch a week later..
- jav1231, on 10/12/2007, -8/+42This....is...AWESOME! Karma...its a bitch!
- theblooms, on 10/12/2007, -1/+30Yeah, but at least with Flava, you always know what time it is!

YouTube HAD everything....gotta love copyright infringement - longboarder543, on 10/12/2007, -0/+28"I was jumping across canyons."
God forbid you don't win for jumping from a chair to a bean bag in front of a green screen. Go try jumping across a real canyon, Incredible Hulk style, and then I'll give you some respect. - tehJR, on 10/12/2007, -1/+21He sounds like a whiney bitch who thinks the whole world owes him something.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -10/+30"he samples stuff like My Funny Valentine and the like, he brings a fresh spin on old classics, a time when music was music and not media. Yes he's an idiot, but to deny his musical prowess is just blatant crap."
If he's such a musical genious then how come he has to sample other people's stuff? Why can't he write his own? - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+19He is acting like a Diva (supposedly puff daddy acts the same way). You would think that a near fatal car accident would humble him but I guess fame + money = narcicism especially in the music biz. Rock stars have been known to do retarded ***** like this as well you know.

"youtube has everything"
Not anymore:
"This video has been removed due to copyright infringement." - ahhell, on 10/12/2007, -2/+19That guy wouldn't have to dress up for Halloween....he could just go as himself...a giant douche.
- HaltingPoint, on 10/12/2007, -4/+20No, they just hate Kanye. And who can blame them? The guys a douche.
- Karyyk, on 10/12/2007, -1/+16Fortunately most musicians of this ilk fade into obscurity. Hopefully Kanye will be next...
- analisau, on 10/12/2007, -3/+17I kind of think of Kanye like I do Flavor Flav--not so smart, but always good for a laugh
- Hardcase, on 10/12/2007, -3/+15You're a fan? Huh. Well, I guess somebody has to be.
- LHopi, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13Video please
- drsnacks, on 10/12/2007, -0/+12What the hell does Kanye have to do with your African-American friends? You idiot.
- Shayer, on 10/12/2007, -1/+12The video is here guys (for the moment). Unfortunately, it's censored but you see enough.

I've played in a touring rock band for 6 years, and played guitar and piano for 15. I've attended Berklee College of Music in Boston and majored in theory. So *YES* I can tell you as a qualified musician that Kanye's musical backing (or lack thereof) sucks ball-sack.
Anything else you want to talk about? - wozley, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10Jeez, I thought his comments on Katrina would've dropped him off the map. But he's still there. He's still talking stupid.
But OMG, the Borat line is funny as hell! - crumbelievable, on 10/12/2007, -5/+15How about a video without the loud commentary so we can hear what he's saying?
-edit- yes random's comment appeared after I posted. I can't wait to get dugg down. This is gonna be so awesome. - trapt, on 10/12/2007, -4/+13hey kanye? STFU and GBTW.
- shiningatman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9Usually I hate just about anything that is mainstream and especially that crap that is masquerading as hip-hop these days on MTV / Clear Channel radio stations. But I like Kanye West. His flow isn't all that impressive and his voice doesn't have that "hard" quality I usually like in MCs, but his lyrics are pretty decent. Kanye covers ground lyrically that you usually don't get out of Pop Top 40 artists these days (at least if they want to appeal to the frat boys wannabes that are the ones buying all the mainstream hip-hop these days) . Did you guys actually listen to the words in "Crack Music" or did you just pretend to and nod your head to the beat? Not saying it was a Shakespearian masterpiece (it wasn't) and not saying The Last Poets / Public Enemy / X-Clan / KRS-One / Immortal Technique / didn't go there already but most of these ass clowns are content to just pretend Black ppl don't have anything to say on wax except some materialistic *****. Kanye West floats between both worlds - one where money, cars, clothes, and girls are all that count and another where deep socioeconomic issues are ripping lives apart. And he does it without his only social commentary being "I keeps the block hot!!"
But he does have a tendency to act like a total ass in public. My guess is that as a Chicago native from the South Side he puts the ego in front and common sense way way in the back. Hell all us South Siders are like that to some extent. What makes Kanye's manifestation of this shtick unique (and laughable) is that he takes it to some crazy level, ranting or acting retarded if anyone puts a camera in front of him long enough. But I won't hate on him for it. At least we all know he doesn't have any self worth issue, eh? - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9Go back to Wisconsin? =|
- ZeroMP, on 10/12/2007, -8/+15"If I don't win, the awards show loses credibility," Kanye said.
Ummmmm I thought the awards lost all credibililty when the washed up chili peppers got "Best Album" for Stadium Arcadium which was total tripe.
RHCP blow on ice, and Kanye is a douche. Nuff said. - Insimbi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7ROFL, I think you mean Bill Cosby - Bing Crosby - LMAO!
- kolop1, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8Most award shows are ***** any way, It's just a way for celebrities to tell themselves they are more important than they really are.
- kidego365, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6this guy is such a primadonna
- shiningatman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6@skyshock21
Your qualifications as a musician are very impressive. But I'm not clear on how that makes you an authority on whether Kanye's music "sucks ball-sack". Yes, you're obviously very knowledgeable in regards to western music theory. Yes, sample based hip-hop obviously leverages existing works primarily from that realm. However, that really doesn't mean much since hip-hop (especially if sample based) deviates wildly from the formula used for more "traditional" songs (like, say, anything by the Rolling Stones).
Ever since hip-hop started getting national attention there's always been tons of musicians who criticize the musicianship of DJs and producers because they usually haven't spent 20 years learning the arcane secrets of the sitar or didn't devote their life to learning how to compose atonally or some other logic along those lines. Whenever I read / hear musicians criticizing producers I always wonder what that's really about. So I have to ask... is your criticism based on Kanye West's music offending your own aesthetics or are you trying to establish yourself as an authority on music who can tell us what is "good" music and what "sucks ball-sack" because you, as a expert on western music and theory, would know better than the audience itself? - Manguskahn, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6And he says he should be in the bible? Why don't you learn from the real star in the bible and "turn the other cheek," you dumb *****!
- thekak, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6Get over yourself already ffs.
- josak, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5What a damn baby. These MTV 'artists' are a bunch of ***** idiots I swear.
- mad1stl, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7Not really. He's an ego maniac who thinks he is like Jesus and if a Bible was writen today he would be in it. Well to my knowlegde Jesus didn't go around whining because he didn't get this or that award. If he (Kanya Whinemuch) was so damn holy he would've made cheaper videos and use the extra money to actually help the poor or something.
- rafleming, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5You're so lucky that you're just a bunch of 1s and 0s (mostly 0s) from where I sit.
If you said that in front of my face, for real, I'd punch the cartilage out of your ***** nose. - jhuebel, on 10/12/2007, -4/+9Unfortunately, you aren't taking into consideration the fact that hip-hop and rap artists gain MORE popularity the more ridiculous they become.
So Kanye West isn't going anywhere anytime soon. That is, unless a rival rapper decides to shoot him. *fingers cross* - Foenetik, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7kanye is a total asshat with an ego the size of texas.plus that video and song were both complete garbage.for that song to even be in the running mtv should lose all (if they still have any) credibility.he's ok as a producer but he should never be allowed to pick up the mic.
- somnus, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6I've never seen Mike Myers at a loss for words, I think that was the last thing he was expecting... hilarious. Better yet was Chris (Tucker? Rock? I can't remember) who came on after and was just like "What the ***** am I supposed to say?!", blank stare...
- Karyyk, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6What's with all the "sounds like a rockstar" comments? Of course he does, he sounds like just about any celebrity. They're people who have lived so long out of touch with reality that they actually believe that what they think means something and that they're intrinsically more important and valuable than the common person. I can do without those kind of egos, regardless of the genre of music they play, kind of movies they star in or types of sports they play. They're the same types who would be a complete jackass about signing an autograph...
- thewebguy, on 10/12/2007, -7/+12carlos mencia is the only man that is actually LESS funny than john kerry.
- cblackburn, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6... Plus he's an asshat!
- mikesherov, on 10/12/2007, -4/+8Please tell me that comment was meant to be "sarcastically".
- hax0r, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5I dugg this down because KW doesn't deserve any more publicity, he deserves to be forgotten and have his name never spoken of.
