- hnazareth16, on 12/13/2008, -5/+11280's music videos are the best.
- wefarrell, on 12/13/2008, -7/+110I hope this makes it to the front page. So random.
- juggalofr33k, on 12/14/2008, -10/+96why is this on the front page at all? does this mean i can submit a random 80s music video and it will hit the main page?
- AmyVernon, on 12/13/2008, -2/+82Ahh, from the days when MTV played videos 24/7...
- alanocu, on 12/13/2008, -6/+78She didn't want him in 1981, and she doesn't want him now in 2008.
- michaelpinto, on 12/13/2008, -6/+64 That music video makes me keep feeling fascination!
- ScottMcIntyre, on 12/13/2008, -4/+61She was working as a waitresss in a cocktail bar- that much is true!
- leadx, on 12/14/2008, -3/+50Nope, this is a one shot thing. You missed it.

- inactive, on 12/14/2008, -2/+29badwithcomputer is showing how easy it is for top digg users to get stuff to the front page
- m8ymerc1, on 12/14/2008, -1/+23I'll bite, I was seriously expecting to get rickrolled at the end of the video.
- AikoMiko, on 12/14/2008, -0/+21From the days when Mtv had like 15 videos they played over and over. And the only way to get it on my cable network was to turn the channel to 7 and then crank the fine tuning knob to the right till Mtv appeared. Then we got the stereo sync. Not stereo TV, but Mtv audio over fm to sync with the TV.
***** I'm old. - inactive, on 12/13/2008, -3/+23A blast from my past - thanks.
- iggzter, on 12/13/2008, -5/+25Obv she doesn't want you *****, you look like you eat babies. ******
- craighoxton, on 12/14/2008, -1/+19I f*cking love 80's music!
- elizabethb221, on 12/14/2008, -1/+17That sounds like some seriously ***** up sushi.
- Andrewticus, on 12/14/2008, -2/+17I agree. Perhaps we should start a campaign to post old music videos on the front page.
- badwithcomputer, on 12/14/2008, -0/+13i've just been listening to the song a lot. as crazy as it sounds, i like to submit music videos in the videos -> music section. i can never understand why people are so confused when actual music videos show up there. more often than not these submissions are made in the middle of the night when i'm listening to the song before bed and rarely even get popular.
- lukeadams, on 12/14/2008, -2/+15Don't chew on me.
- kingofinternet, on 12/14/2008, -3/+16this spins me right round baby, right round like a record baby
right round round round. - AikoMiko, on 12/14/2008, -1/+13...It was actually the first piece of music I bought with my own money. It was a 45rpm single.
Like you never bought lame music when you were a kid?! - yensed, on 12/14/2008, -4/+15Because its going to take another digg to make it 84.

- inactive, on 12/14/2008, -1/+11This is sad.
- GalOnDigg, on 12/14/2008, -2/+12Will probably become the new Rick Roll of 2009.
- techweenie, on 12/14/2008, -1/+10Edgier version:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ePiJhvM2R-o - twertyto, on 12/14/2008, -3/+12The better question is.. How did a music video from the 80s make the front page?
- cridz7, on 12/14/2008, -2/+11And the point of this is...?
- petebert, on 12/14/2008, -1/+9back in my day cable only had 27 channels, one of them was called MTV and they played music videos, and we liked it!!
- acherion, on 12/14/2008, -2/+10Give it a shot and find out ;)
- Cenobite, on 12/14/2008, -0/+7100% honest, the first piece of music I ever bought was the single of Never Gonna Give You Up. It was my all-time favourite song as a kid which is why I was stoked at the Rickroll phenomenon. Now I can't hear the familiar opening beat without feeling the bile rise in my gullet.
O, Internet. You have given me so much, yet taken away even more. - betheturtle, on 12/14/2008, -3/+10God I wish this becomes the next Rickroll.
- GoatRoper, on 12/14/2008, -2/+9But even then she new she'd find a better place, either with or without you
- PeanutCheeseBar, on 12/14/2008, -0/+7You know I can't believe it when I hear that you won't see me.
- Dujenwook, on 12/14/2008, -2/+9Love it. The sure don't make em like they used to.
- Dragular, on 12/14/2008, -0/+7My first CD was Chumbawamba. I defy you to find something more embarrassing.
edit: I think my first cassette tape purchase was an elton john cassette. I have questions about myself now. - GoatRoper, on 12/14/2008, -3/+10Back from the day when even rich English folk had bad teeth
- one1plus1one, on 12/14/2008, -0/+727 years... where the hell has the time gone?
I wonder how civilization will evolve in the next 27 years...
Hopefully I'll be watching this video on Mars by then, in holographic 3D-reconstruction, with playback initiated by a voice-controlled artificial intelligence unit.
Either that, or I'll be the crazy bearded, scruffy old man, who survived the apocolypse, humming this tune, huddled by the campfire, telling the new generation about how this "video" once played on "MTV". - holeymoley, on 12/14/2008, -0/+6Let's try Turning Japanese by the Vapours
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qb5Ii0iIcXo - DeadBabySoup, on 12/14/2008, -0/+6Don't
- elizabethb221, on 12/14/2008, -2/+8The five years we have had have been such good times
I still love you - blake182, on 12/14/2008, -0/+6I remember recording this on cassette off of American Top 40 (with Casey Casem) and playing it over and over again so I could learn all the words. Man, I suck.
- chuckDontSurf, on 12/14/2008, -0/+6Just curious--how many of you people praising the 80's are actually old enough to remember them?
- keving727, on 12/14/2008, -1/+7Human League are no 80s one hit wonder...Their album dare is a classic album and very influential.
- allengeer, on 12/14/2008, -0/+6if he cant get Meatloaf to the front page, ill be impressed.
- chmstar, on 12/14/2008, -0/+6Yea, for me it was channel 7 tuning knob counterclockwise until scrambled Cinamax showed. I could then adjust tuning to get the line out. Then got got watch 'Friday night after dark' while mother was at work. Those were the days. About 83'.
- inactive, on 12/14/2008, -0/+6The first piece of music I ever owned was Abbey Road.
- MaLLiii, on 12/14/2008, -2/+7synthpop ftmfw!
