no two metronomes, or clocks for that matter, are ever exactly the same. Thats why in a recording studio everything is synced usually by MMC and therfore all of the different device are slaves and there is one clock that syncs them all.

That is cool, but how'd he get the time to figure that out... haha

It's called "entrainment". Just about any set of oscillators with even very weak coupling will eventually synchronize due to feedback. It's a pretty cool effect that happens all over the place in physics.
