- QuorumCall, on 05/03/2008, -2/+230Help! This doesn't work for me!!
I'm using digital metronomes. Would that make a difference? - CapeKid, on 05/03/2008, -1/+178I can't tell you how many times I've needed to synchronize my 5 metronomes.
- inactive, on 05/03/2008, -3/+154This dude clearly getting a hard-on, NSFW.
- DeskFlyer, on 05/03/2008, -7/+126I can keep rhythm with no metronome
No metronome
No metronome - Kappa00, on 05/03/2008, -0/+89Physics!
- fitqueenb, on 05/03/2008, -7/+82Not quite sure why you would want to do this... but anyhow, interesting to say the least. :-)
- timfrietas, on 05/03/2008, -5/+79Am I buzzkill if I say the metronomes are still not perfectly synced?
- Witchbaby, on 05/03/2008, -1/+63I hope you *are* serious.
- hummstheword, on 05/03/2008, -0/+51That Where's Waldo polo shirt is sweet.
- inigomntoya, on 05/03/2008, -0/+50Yeah - this is total bunk. I opened up 5 browsers with this (http://www.metronomeonline.com/), set my laptop on a board with two soda cans under it. I got thirsty before anything happened and drank all the soda.
- tcpip4lyfe, on 05/03/2008, -2/+45That is ***** awesome. Would make an awesome science experiment if you could graph the sine waves over time show how the cans shift their phase to be in sync.
- greenlight2001, on 05/03/2008, -1/+35Looks like he tucked into his waistband.
- mciampa1214, on 05/03/2008, -0/+31This is what happens when physics nerds get together for some beers.
- karan1003, on 05/03/2008, -0/+28You have to make sure you're using Wood 2.0. Wood 1.XX doesn't support the synchronization function.
Might that be your problem? - jazboy, on 05/03/2008, -0/+27brb... wife needs to see this
- bob12321, on 05/03/2008, -1/+23The springs and such inside each one may not be exactly the same.
- Roger, on 05/03/2008, -0/+21Magic
- protodon, on 05/03/2008, -1/+21Ahhh, that's where I keep hearing that word over and over and over.....
- ABadPerson, on 05/03/2008, -0/+20Did you notice the moonwalking bear?
- 8randon, on 05/03/2008, -0/+19"The energy that was being used in the single units was distributed when the units where joined to a system from one to the other until the system reached equilibrium"
- kb9vgr, on 05/03/2008, -4/+22one clock to sync them all
one clock to sine them
one clock to time them all
and in the studio rhyme them - bob12321, on 05/03/2008, -0/+18If you can not tell by watching the video you should not be allowed to touch a metronome.
- sparr, on 05/03/2008, -1/+18The metronomes are not perfectly synched because they are not set for exactly the same time. #2, counting from the left, is the worst offender. Left lone, it would tick a bit faster than the others, eventually "lapping" them in count. Coupled together as they are, it gets ahead a little, then pulls the others ahead to it, and that repeats. #5 does it to a lesser degree, and between those two I cannot measure whatever tiny difference there must be in the other three.
- Ocelot13, on 05/03/2008, -3/+20hes probably gonna shoot a load into his belly button
- CapeKid, on 05/03/2008, -0/+17Same reason I have 3 PS3s.
- dvrchatter, on 05/03/2008, -0/+16How 'bout a spoiler warning next time? Title TOTALLY ruined the ending.

hate that song" - nace33, on 05/03/2008, -2/+17Why do I feel like eating nuts now?
- monsterette, on 05/03/2008, -2/+17...guess it beats what I am doing now...watching and commenting on someone synchronize 5 metronomes.... I better walk my dog...
- inactive, on 05/03/2008, -2/+17Wow, that was actually pretty interesting.
- solarweasel, on 05/03/2008, -3/+17i can ride a bike with no handlebars
no handlebars
no handlebars - xDynaBlade, on 05/03/2008, -3/+161. Obtain 5 metronomes and set them all randomly
2. Synchronize them
3. ???
4. Profit! - otis12, on 05/03/2008, -1/+14Why do you have so many metronomes?
- ligyron, on 05/03/2008, -3/+16Did anyone else notice the raging boner he had hidden the entire time?
- DeskFlyer, on 05/03/2008, -1/+13If you're referring to your comment, you'd be most correct.
- willeagle, on 05/03/2008, -4/+16How does someone discover that this works?
- Ocelot13, on 05/03/2008, -1/+13don't encourage him.
- Intamin, on 05/03/2008, -0/+12This took me 60 hours in photoshop:
http://img385.imageshack.us/img385/4097/skateboard ... - djepik, on 05/03/2008, -2/+14I say "trip-uh-let"
- Intamin, on 05/03/2008, -0/+12Did you get a degree in metronomology? That was quite a detailed and thorough analysis. I commend you! :)
- Witchbaby, on 05/03/2008, -1/+13No...I think bob12321 is the buzzkill...
- tnoy, on 05/03/2008, -0/+11Apparently it wasn't hidden
- lansuggs, on 05/03/2008, -2/+13Odd... first thing I thought of too. Awesome song!
I can end the planet in a holocaust - mbonzo531, on 05/03/2008, -1/+1226% popular rating... so yea.
- Neoanarchist, on 05/03/2008, -1/+11Now that would be pretty bad ass.
- slezzzter, on 05/03/2008, -0/+10The frequency/phase spectrum would be more interesting. I noticed that a couple of the metronomes had extra oscillation frequencies induced from the moving platform. As a result, a graph of pendulum position would not necessarily show out of phase waves shifting into phase. Instead, you'd see a superposition of sine waves which would sort of 'morph' into the synchronized wave.
- inactive, on 05/03/2008, -2/+11brb... wife needs to see..... oh wait. so. lonely.
- chaaalieboy, on 05/03/2008, -2/+11i can split the atom of a molecule
