- TheArtofXan, on 07/10/2009, -1/+72I love that the article is basically saying that the video ruined a "cute love ode".
Because lyrics like "Get it from the back and make ya ***** bra strap pop, All up in ya slot till a ***** hit the jackpot" are touching and romantic.
Girls find this song touching? What the hell would you have to say to offend them? - raggles, on 07/11/2009, -2/+52Who the ***** is Drake?
- smurfz, on 07/10/2009, -2/+31Kanye sucks
- lisaawesome, on 07/11/2009, -0/+24Holy ***** I just looked up the lyrics to this song and as a chick all I can say is WTF? That was NOT touching or romantic. It makes me sad to admit that at least half of my gender are a bunch of brain dead whores with no self respect.
- ShingoEX, on 07/11/2009, -1/+21Bleh...auto-tuned out the ass.
- jkash23686, on 07/10/2009, -6/+23i think that's the largest amount of bouncing boobs i have ever seen in a video.
- jayhawk88, on 07/11/2009, -1/+17The older I get, the more I realize that, while I am losing touch with modern culture, I don't really give a *****, and am in fact quite happy of this fact. I wonder if this is how my dad felt when I started dressing in flannel and listening to songs about school children killing their classmates?
- xwinger, on 07/11/2009, -0/+16I was thinking pretty much the same thing. The author says it "...didn’t include the words “hoe,” “bitch,” “slut” or any variation of “I just wanna ***** you tonight”?"
It may not use those words but that's exactly what it's describing. Sounds like some really low standards if this song gets a pass on that front.
This video should come as no surprise. - homah, on 07/11/2009, -1/+16dugg for sarcasm
- asus2000, on 07/11/2009, -2/+17You da you da best.
You da you da best.
You da you da best.
You da you da best.
Bes I ever had.
Bes I ever had.
Bes I ever had.
Bes I ever had.
Note to self: if this is what women want, kill yourself. - inactive, on 07/11/2009, -0/+14Had never heard of Drake. The song sucked...but I watched the video 3 more times on mute.
- wild, on 07/11/2009, -1/+14A man with an uncharted fortune.
- Myonosken, on 07/11/2009, -3/+13The song is *****.
The video is cool for obvious reasons, but ***** as a music video
The guy is autotuned to *****
The writer of this article is a hack.
Great submission! - Skrank, on 07/11/2009, -2/+10Yeah, that ***** suc......wait a second.......you respect Kanye? I never imagined that was possible from anyone. Please feel free to elaborate. This should be good.
- Wolfcaster, on 07/11/2009, -0/+8his voice sounds like a robot, oh that's cause it is
- grovest4life, on 07/11/2009, -0/+8Surprise!
- TotalHalibut, on 07/11/2009, -4/+12Dumb song for dumb people.
- Bloodwine, on 07/11/2009, -1/+9I just listened to the song, and if that song provided him female fans, then they must be some stupid, skanky sluts.
The art of sexual innuendos is dead, and music today just seems to be more blunt and overt about things. - wild, on 07/11/2009, -0/+7Well, to be fair, the girls listening to this song have such wonderful prior love odes like "Suck it or Not", "Pussy Poppin'", and "My Neck, My Back" to get their hickey's too.
- johnsonjoeb, on 07/11/2009, -0/+6The song is deeper? How? The entire ode is a thinly veiled invitation to bone. I don't see a lot of philosophical musings taking place. Video's hilarious though at the end. The featured team shows what kind of girls fall for the lines he spits. They knew they couldn't play before they hit the court! Lol.
- Hraes, on 07/11/2009, -0/+5Y'all got trolled. Hard.
- bedgar, on 07/11/2009, -0/+5Take that D! Take that D like the champions you are!
Best rap line ever...lmfao. - Bloodwine, on 07/11/2009, -0/+5Never underestimate the power of a woman to rationalize things until everything is ok.
- norman619, on 07/11/2009, -0/+5Urine:
You seem to be below the average Digger intelligence.
You are coming off a bit bitter towards women. - blacklilyninja, on 07/11/2009, -0/+5this belongs on Funny or Die.
- numberneal, on 07/10/2009, -1/+6performing in platforms
- mattgy, on 07/11/2009, -0/+5Is that the handicapped guy from degrassi?
Please don't ask me how I know anything about degrassi. It's not something I want to go into. - SimonWatson, on 07/11/2009, -7/+11I respect Kanye but he did a terrible job directing this video, the song is so much deeper than the video too.
- BasalCellBossk, on 07/11/2009, -0/+4We have fallen into the generation gap.
- Bloodwine, on 07/11/2009, -0/+4I know every generation looks down on the ones that come after them, but damn ... have people ever been as stupid as our youth now?
Our grandparents probably look down on us as a generation without common sense.
We, in turn, look down on the next generations as being really ***** dumb
I can only imagine what is going to cause the current crop of moronic youth to look down on the subsequent generations. - juniorb, on 07/11/2009, -0/+4Everyone is focusing on BEWBS ZOMG! and missing the obvious satire of this video. The girls wore revealing, impractical uniforms, only coached to "stretch" and look hot, and told they were "the best," and they lost miserably to the talented team.
The music video is a joke, everybody. Lighten up. - norman619, on 07/11/2009, -0/+4LOL!!! If I said that to my wife she'd knee me in the nuts to show how touching and romantic that is. I doubt the person who wrote the article really is a woman. "She" comes off more like a guy.
- diceau, on 07/11/2009, -1/+5Watch the vid, it's actually pretty funny.
And I went in ready to hate on him.
But he's now got my vote for getting on so many people's nerves and not taking things too seriously.
BUT COACH, ALL YOU DID WAS TEACH US HOW TO STRETCH! hahaha win - TBBucs, on 07/11/2009, -0/+3"Now, don’t get me wrong, I have nothing against boobs, seeing as I have a nice set my damn self."
Pics or it didn't happen. - tattokris, on 07/11/2009, -0/+3Boobies
- laserpilot, on 07/11/2009, -0/+3WHOA..drake is jimmy from degrassi: the next generation?? wtfff
- Cyberdactyl, on 07/11/2009, -1/+4Exactly, a wave of disappointment sweeps over me when I meet someone and I then find they're 'into' this kind of mindless rap.
- njl52, on 07/11/2009, -0/+3it's relative. In a genre that released "I wanna ***** you," being told that "you are the best I ever had" is a drastic improvement.
- Mutton, on 07/11/2009, -0/+3I'ma set it straight
This watergate - FullMetalNIN, on 07/11/2009, -1/+4Inaccurate; article neglects the male fan-base he will surely gain
- blackopsfreak06, on 07/11/2009, -3/+6This article is hilarious because the writer says,
"The scene where he told every girl on the team that they were ALL “the best” took away any special connotation there was to “the best.”
And..."Instead of making women feel special and loved, which is why 99.9% of us loved the song in the first place, it made us feel objectified."
Does she really think that a singer is actually singing to her, or that she can take the happy, warm message she claims used exists in a song and actually and pretend so hard the song's about her that it actually makes her feel better about herself?
Then she ends the article saying she hopes he gets his demographic "chunk" back...I'm assuming because she wants him to sing sweet little songs that make girls feel special again...which only proves more that this girl (and I guess a large "chunk" of others) can actually convince themselves that songs are specifically about them. And that a guy who just blatantly objectified women could pop out a different song praising them, and they'd actually think he had changed heart.
I don't know if that's extremely self-centered, or just really self-deceiving. Either way, though, I do agree the song's really insulting to women. - Lunarsight, on 07/11/2009, -0/+3Fyber - Boy Bands v2?
Please, please, please - don't give the record labels any ideas.
What we need to do is get the younger folk in this country listening to more wholesome music --- like death metal, for instance. - Totenkopf88, on 07/11/2009, -0/+3This is one of the better rap videos Ive seen.
- SRSco, on 07/11/2009, -0/+3Should I get off your lawn?
- Lucid00, on 07/15/2009, -0/+2Finally someone who isn't just bashing at hip-hop saying it's for idiots and women saying everything that isn't a woman "empowering" herself is bad.
I'm not really a fan of the song, but c'mon there's worse out there. - lalalalamppost, on 07/11/2009, -2/+4Can't stand it
I know you planned it
... - Lucid00, on 07/15/2009, -0/+2Yea, I agree.
I only saw the video as humor, there's nothing else to it but that.
Plus I don't think Drakes female audience sees him as some pop singer, especially after watching this video.
