- SystemError, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I had a script the i could paste into the osX terminal but humm....it no longer works with the newer versions on itunes. nice to have a new method till apple patches it.
----the old script----
cp -v `lsof |grep -i QTP| grep iTunes|awk '{ print $9 }'` ~/Desktop/currentmusicvideo.mov - kreggem, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0sweet and it works!
- marazanvose, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0If you dont want to mess with PHP, IGetMovies is a stand alone program that does the same thing, same nice results: http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/21533
- ph34rhk, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It plays the first few seconds on my desktop then the screen goes green... but it works perfectly on my laptop

http://www.gemsouk.com - Room101, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0So, combine this with iTunes' ability to strip out the audio, one could use this to get free music, right?
- Tela428, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0very very cool
- ThomasNewman1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This is cool, now if only they would start putting NEW videos on iTunes. They OCCAISIONLLY put old ones on there, but I think they have stopped because they are edging toward the 'video store'
- lico05, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Works like a charm!
- DesertSquirrel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0A great tool, thanks for the link. Here's hoping Apple starts updating the videos soon.

- SoulRebel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0There was also an Apple Script from Doug's Scripts that automates the whole process...but I'm not sure if it works on the new versions, lat time I used it was like 4.6 or something.

Or you could just steal music the conventional way and save yourself some time using limewire et al. - rumble, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This is great.. I've always done this by saving the original .mov file (embeded in the page, usually under 4KB in size) , then opening the file in a text editor.. Usually the ACTUAL .mov file has an "m" appended to it, but is the same path as the original.. It was a real hassle, this makes the process 10 times easier!!
- awfulshot, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0awesome digg
