- devilclown, on 02/20/2009, -0/+35Smashing Hanson's Cheap Fountains?
- nickycakes, on 02/20/2009, -6/+36If this isn't part of a secret plot to get them all in a room and gas them, i'll be severely disappointed.
- bluekangaroo, on 02/19/2009, -9/+34Whatever it takes to ensure Hanson never releases another album....
- boojoy, on 02/20/2009, -1/+24It's like the Traveling Wilburys for a new, sadder generation.
- MagicHobo, on 02/20/2009, -0/+19Hanson's Cheap Pumpkin Fountains?
- the2989, on 02/20/2009, -1/+20I hope it's actual music and not generic corporate radio rock. We already have enough nickelbacks and linkin parks in this world.
- DohCanadian, on 02/20/2009, -0/+15No..I'm pretty sure WTF sums it up just right.
- JoeHammer, on 02/20/2009, -7/+20Actually, after they stopped being so popular, they released some really good music.
- obliviousfool, on 02/19/2009, -3/+15I love Fountains of Wayne and Smashing Pumpkins ...uh, well I'm sure the other guys are talented too.
- 919kwjc, on 02/20/2009, -0/+12Actually, Bun E. Carlos and James Iha together is really interesting. Hanson and the other dude, not so sure.
- contradictator, on 02/20/2009, -1/+12Wow, that's gotta be the randomest supergroup lineup I've ever seen.
FOR NOW. Diggers, this is your challenge! Come up with your own zany roster of oddly-matched (but within the realm of possibility) musicians!
Group must consist of: one drummer, one singer, one guitarist, one bassist, and an optional fifth member playing keyboard, keytar, accordion, theremin, banjo, tesla coil or harmonica.
Extra points go to the contestant who can pair them with an offbeat-yet-fitting name!
I know you can do this boys and girls, so GOOOOOOOO!! - bigfatphony19, on 02/20/2009, -2/+11Cheap Trick ftw.
But WTF?! - hipnerd, on 02/20/2009, -2/+11I wonder if anyone digging me down ever heard a single other Hanson song. I'm betting the answer is "no."
- ShannonGB, on 02/19/2009, -4/+12Lol i thought it was going to be Taylor Hanson and Billy Corgan!
- JoeHammer, on 02/20/2009, -1/+9If they name the album "WTF" I'll poop myself.
- hipnerd, on 02/20/2009, -3/+11JoeHammer is right.
Actually even "Mmm-bop" wasn't bad. They were kids. It had a nice hook and the singer had a Jackson 5 thing going on.
As they grew older, they got better and better, but they had a difficult time being taken seriously. - inactive, on 02/20/2009, -0/+7Wayne Hanson's Cheap Pumpkins.
- nolesshabitual, on 02/20/2009, -1/+8unfortunately i can testify to this having seen the live twice in '04/'05... the things we do to get laid
- SleezyG, on 02/20/2009, -1/+8I also agree with joehammer and I'm man enough to admit it.
- Slayerdude51982, on 02/20/2009, -1/+8I can testify to this as well, don't digg him down if you don't know what your talking about. If you get past mmmmbop...their music isn't half bad. I dare you to listen to some of their newer stuff and tell me it isn't bad. They still do shows all the time, I should know my fiancee has been a fan since they started.

Spider inside my dreams
I think I love you
You make me wanna cry
You make me wanna die
I love you, I love you, I love you,
I love you, I love you
Night Man
Every night you come into my room
And pin me down with your strong arms
You pin me down, and I try to fight you
You come inside me
You fill me up
And I become the Night Man...
It's just 2 men sharing the night
It might seem wrong but it's just right
It's just 2 men sharing each other
It's just 2 men like loving brothers
One on top and one on bottom
One inside and one is out
One is screaming, he's so happy
The other's screamin' a passionate shout
It's the Night Man
I'm feeling so wrong and right, man
I'm feeling so wrong and right, man
I can't fight you, man
When you come inside me
And pin me down with your strong hands
And I become the Night...
The passionate, passionate Night Man - erikbue, on 02/20/2009, -0/+5Hanson's latest album is actually an excellent cd.
It's too bad no one can open their minds enough to give it a listen. - Rain12913, on 02/20/2009, -0/+4Temple of the Dog.
- Sunscreen, on 02/20/2009, -2/+6The dream police, they live inside of my head.
The dream police, they come to me in my bed.
The dream police, they're coming to arrest me, oh no. - frumpsnake, on 02/20/2009, -0/+4Wayne Hanson's Pumpkin Trick
- moothemagiccow, on 02/20/2009, -0/+3Goddamn Fountains of Wayne rock
- darkciti2, on 02/20/2009, -0/+3As said by a true Hollywood phony.
- Abomonog, on 02/20/2009, -0/+3As weird as it sounds at least Hanson, Cheap trick, and Smashing Pumpkins are all from the same relative musical genre. (WTF is FOW?) Damned Yankees (Ted Nugent/Styx/Night Ranger) pulled it off for two albums so who knows, maybe Tinted Windows will work out.
- tava0002, on 02/20/2009, -0/+3If their music is half as good as The Traveling Wilburys I'll be impressed.
- ShannonGB, on 02/20/2009, -0/+3I'm pretty sure Yngwie would insist the band be named Yngwie Malmsteen.
- SkinnyPuppy, on 02/20/2009, -1/+4Vocals - Adam Ant
Guitar - Toni Iommi (Sabbath)
Guitar - Doug Martsch (Built To Spill)

Band name - DiscoDeathDancer - contradictator, on 02/20/2009, -0/+3Holy Guacamole! What a lineup! And what a sex-tape they'd make, eh Meg??
10 points! - smacksaw, on 02/20/2009, -0/+3It'll be like the Traveling Wilburys, except that instead of having a collection of superstar musicians it will have a bunch of people none of their affiliated bands would miss if they were absent.
- inactive, on 02/20/2009, -0/+3Keys / Backup Vocals - Dennis DeYoung
Vocals - Ronnie James Dio
Assorted wind instruments / Backup vocals - Ian Anderson
Bass - Les Claypool
Guitar - Zombie Frank Zappa
band name - The pipes of pan. - elo91, on 02/20/2009, -0/+3cream was pretty damn good. that's really the only one i can think of off the top of my head. unless you want to count various jazz groups. that's a bit different though.
- ExSlashdotter, on 02/20/2009, -0/+3audioslave? (cornell and morello)
- kyleisgreat, on 02/20/2009, -1/+4A Perfect Circle? The other super group James Iha played in..

I'm sorry, it's the best I can do. - deezeejoey, on 02/20/2009, -1/+3I will be listening to this CD from behind Tinted Windows.
- Pegritz, on 02/20/2009, -1/+3I'm really interested in hearing this.
- SkinnyPuppy, on 02/20/2009, -0/+2Come on now. Bun E. Carlos is bad ass!
- Scape89, on 02/20/2009, -1/+3Umm...Journey?

- inactive, on 02/20/2009, -0/+2Mother told me, yes, she told me I'd meet girls like you
She also told me, "Stay away, you'll never know what you'll catch"
Just the other day I heard a soldier falling off some Indonesian junk that's going round
Mommy's alright, Daddy's alright, they just seem a little weird
Surrender, surrender, but don't give yourself away
Father says, "Your mother's right, she's really up on things"
"Before we married, Mommy served in the WACS in the Philippines"
Now, I had heard the WACS recruited old maids for the war
But mommy isn't one of those, I've known her all these years
Mommy's alright, Daddy's alright, they just seem a little weird
Surrender, surrender, but don't give yourself away
Whatever happened to all this season's losers of the year?
Ev'ry time I got to thinking, where'd they disappear?
When I woke up, Mom and Dad are rolling on the couch
Rolling numbers, rock and rolling, got my Kiss records out
Mommy's alright, Daddy's alright, they just seem a little weird
Surrender, surrender, but don't give yourself away... - doobiebrother, on 02/20/2009, -2/+4The world is an mmm bop vampire dream police and she's got it goin on.
