- iepurilah, on 11/05/2007, -7/+333That's a real great voice...still, i'm wondering if it's for real
- pukiman, on 11/08/2007, -20/+268Photoshoped.
- Insanitation, on 11/08/2007, -44/+215Damn....misleading title.
- giveer, on 11/06/2007, -6/+111Bianca Ryan - Sang the very same song almost 2 years ago on Britain's got talent - and has an equally powerful voice - when she was 11 - not 12. Youtube it. But hey, you're the vocal expert I guess.
- commonkon, on 10/30/2007, -3/+96Charice Pempengco, she's Filipino and 15 in this video.
Second half of the same show: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KGN04x7xnMU
They do a little interview, she sings a cappella, and does a duet ("A Whole New World").
This isn't a "OMG, I can't believe you can't tell Asian apart" post. It is a Korean show and I would've thought the same thing, had I not googled her name. - Guy4, on 11/08/2007, -5/+96Ok... let's just leave it at that and not add on to that sentence.
- goerg, on 11/04/2007, -12/+97THIS...IS...KOREAAAA!!!
- mjpark, on 11/06/2007, -2/+74My favorite part was near the end when the two guys in the background gave each other a double high five followed by a hug.
- Kanidia, on 11/04/2007, -6/+75Photoshopped.
- Kkemepobo, on 11/08/2007, -5/+73No It's real, google her name "Charice Pempengco" and you get two more videos of her singing.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I1hLURkIh7E - euro22, on 12/17/2008, -2/+68and alot of girls hit puberty by 12..
- badassninja, on 11/05/2007, -0/+63Why don't you take a seat. Yeah, take a seat .. right over here.
- Slimtoad, on 11/05/2007, -32/+94Holy voiceover Batman...
- newmanator77, on 10/31/2007, -3/+59It sounded like that girl from america's got talent...I think her name was Bianca Ryan
EDIT: check it out
http://youtube.com/watch?v=ozDh4NQveJs - giveer, on 11/06/2007, -10/+65What the hell is with the folks calling fake? Have you ever heard of 'gifted' or savants? They exist you know. She wasn't pulling your dad out of her ass. She was singing a song. Much better than you ever will. Yeah, that's just f*cking crazy, I mean, let's fake THAT.
- heepajunk, on 10/30/2007, -8/+60Nice diaphragm control.
- bradcrc, on 11/02/2007, -5/+55doesn't make sense how that voice could physically come out of that small body.
but then, science has never explained rick astley either. If that's really her singing, then kudos to her. I just wish they showed the interview afterwards, I bet she talks very quietly, which would be quite a contrast. - inactive, on 11/06/2007, -21/+69It won't matter, in a couple years she'll be in rehab or lose her voice doing Japanese poo porn.
- xstarsprinklesx, on 11/06/2007, -2/+50"Not to sound racist, but.." [insert racist comment] LAME
- chaosmachine, on 10/31/2007, -6/+53this is surreal.
- zweben, on 11/04/2007, -2/+46I can tell by the sound pixels.
- 0zzy, on 10/30/2007, -3/+45Maybe she already achieved puberty?
- samgab, on 10/31/2007, -6/+48That's what she said...
- dathutmeballs, on 10/30/2007, -7/+49does this mean she speaks english well without an accent?
- theeEqualizer, on 10/29/2007, -2/+42You are as wrong as you could possibly be. Have you ever seen a video of Christina Aguilera performing as a child? She had a voice that mature and with the same flawless intonation before she was ten. It's uncommon. But it does happen occasionally. And having seen lip syncing both very well done and very badly done for over forty years now, as well as personally having years of live vocal performance experience, I can assure you, this video is not a fake.
- DoubleyouTeeEff, on 11/04/2007, -2/+34So that's where all the musical talent went...
- Mononuclear, on 10/31/2007, -2/+32Just because there is a "bad karaoke" stereotype doesn't mean they can't sing. There are many Korean, Chinese, and Japanese singers that are amazing. The same is true for any country. Get a brain and stop believing in stereotypes.
- mkameli, on 11/06/2007, -0/+30Yeah, it's not too hard to unlock that achievement.
- TheChihuahua, on 10/28/2007, -2/+29Thank you Phil Collins.
- ElvisLives, on 11/04/2007, -0/+26The title was inaccurate - she was 14 years old at the time of this video. Secondly, her name is Charice Pempengco and she is Filipina, which is why she speaks English.
Bottom line - creepy but real. - blackjack75, on 10/30/2007, -0/+26It's perfectly credible since:
a) She's 15, not 12 (could have that voice)
b) She's Filipina, not Korean (could have that accent)
http://www.asianbite.com/default.asp?Display=1167 - perfectprint, on 10/29/2007, -1/+27hahahaha. 'science has never explained rick astley'. gold!
- brwright, on 10/29/2007, -5/+30look at around 3:05 to 3:15, that would be amazing lip syncing. Real in my opinion. Even if it was fake she did a great job faking!
- chrisbarr, on 10/29/2007, -1/+26"She wasn't pulling your dad out of her ass"
What? - CrimsonBlur, on 10/31/2007, -3/+27There are too many times here where a voiceover would have been completely botched if this were not real. If this was a voiceover, this little girl is the best lipsync artist I have ever seen. If you've seen live performances of artists who lipsync there are very specific things they do to hide it, like hold the mic in a way that covers their mouth, do a lot of dancing, etc. When they don't, it's pretty easy to tell that what they are singing is not coming through the speakers. The argument that her voice couldn't possibly sound like this before puberty is totally false, I've heard many girls with voices like this around her age, many artists that are still performing. There are plenty of other videos like this that you can find on the Internet that are real.
I'm not sure I'd say this is "hands down the pest performance by a 12-year-old ever", there is at least one video like this where I know the girl was 11, but this is probably in the top 5 that I've ever seen. - Jibberwalk, on 11/01/2007, -5/+29Man... you're getting dugg down... but that was awesome.
- LouisC, on 11/03/2007, -0/+18I bet it was photoshopped.
wait... - schniff, on 10/28/2007, -1/+18ummm... females on average have their first period around age 12. But some (less than 10%) can have theirs earlier. Not impossible, just an anomaly.
- Jok3r, on 10/29/2007, -3/+19I just imagined Kim Jung Il saying that
- realityiswhere, on 11/04/2007, -1/+17You don't count. See we buried you, now you disappear.
- Gnasche, on 11/04/2007, -0/+15I think he meant that it was actually video taped.
- AmICoolNow, on 10/29/2007, -7/+22She's...12...
- Dokument, on 10/28/2007, -3/+17this girl is 11 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ozDh4NQveJs
which is oddly enough the same song..and very similar voice... - xstarsprinklesx, on 10/28/2007, -0/+14Look her up on YouTube, there are other videos of her singing other songs.
- inactive, on 10/31/2007, -0/+14What? Dude, Boa has some pipes on her. So does Yuki from Bennie K.
- MakinBacon, on 11/06/2007, -1/+14Okay, 12 year old Charice was great... 11 year old Bianca was fantastic... but hands down, you just HAVE to be blown away by 6-year-old Connie Talbot from Britain's Got Talent:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2cnRXmMn2Ag
(And she still has 5-6 years to catch up to the other girls). - CrimsonBlur, on 10/29/2007, -0/+13Why is anyone digging this down? Totally relevant and proves without a doubt there's no voiceover trickery going on in her performances.
- jimmy87lee, on 10/31/2007, -1/+14you're racist
- AmazingAaron, on 11/01/2007, -13/+25WOW! Crazy Good!
- FLarsen, on 11/04/2007, -0/+11Hi, I'm Chris Hansen...
