- light50, on 10/12/2007, -2/+31I've heard that such sounds can be obtained by leaving your house and going for something called a 'walk'...apparently free too. Will try and find a link.
- doctechnical, on 10/12/2007, -0/+12If you're walking while you're sleeping you might want to talk to a doctor.
- ChzPlz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11Check out the pic on the MP3 page...

I can just imagine that conversation:
Tree-huggy new-agey ocean-sounds marketer: Mrs Divers - thank you for your email. We'd love to post it on our website. Do you have a picture you can send us?
Cougar Divers: Sure! I have this new boudoir photo of me with my shirt open playing with my bra strap. And, it's Ms. Divers. PS - can you include my email address too? - deserted, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9A sleepy mind knows not the 11kHz.
This is very relaxing and hypnotic, quite good. - PrometheuZ, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8Unfortunately, for anyone living in Southern California none of these sounds can be heard at all. Only planes, trains and automobiles.
- pookpooi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6It makes me sleep.
Digg - jm1234567890, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Not so relaxing when you have all of them on 100 :D
- eliwagar, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7Well, OK, the sound IS kind of crappy - but I like the idea...dugg.
- jsd8cc, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Try the Cryosleep or Drone Zone free radio streams.

http://pzizz.com/ is an amazing peice of shareware for relaxation...and it will make mp3's you can download to your ipod etc. - theone3, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4You have to pay >_>
Hello Limewire! (sort by length) - axisds, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5I like how you can mix your own little sound set and control the balance on which ear it is going to be heard in. Very cool indeed
- TidusBlade, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Pretty good sounds! I had a little headache that I dont have know.
- isolationism, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Pretty sure this has been posted here before; it's cute but not impressive.
If people are looking for a superior tool for designing soundscapes you might actually want to listen to for more than 15 minutes, check out an application named 'Boodler' (first hit on Google, I promise) -- you design and program your own soundscapes using Python (or listen to those provided by default). - Cimlite, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3"Put Pzizz on your Ipod" and " Happy pzizzing!" ?
They obviously do not prononce it the same way I do... - billymachine, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Yeah, but oddly enough, the Left-Right balance seems to be backwards. Not hard to compensate for, though.
- Chmura, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Atmosphere Deluxe is also a great program with nice relaxing nature sounds.
- JamesWyatt, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Ahh.. Wind Chimes & Kaliedoscope.. Fun Times..
Still have a floppy somewhere with them & keygens.. - doctechnical, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2If you can find it (good luck) Syntrillium (of Cool Edit fame) made a nifty little program called Wind Chimes. Tons of presets, lots of parameters you could doodle with, and wonderfully relaxing sound. Note that the unregistered version is nagware.
Alas, Adobe bought out Syntrillium and now it's abandonware. Luckily I still have my copy - one of the best peices of software I ever registered. - flashaltman, on 10/15/2007, -0/+2SoundSleeping is my website. I'm glad so many of you Dugg it, but I'm also appreciative of the criticism. It seems the biggest complaint was sound quality. I've bumped that up from 40 kbps to 120 kbps. I've also replaced some of the poorer sounding clips with better ones.
I also received emails suggesting I add more sounds. There are now twice as many sounds to choose from.
Unfortunately the program takes longer to load now, but I'm hoping the trade-off is worth it. - armo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2http://www.walkit.com/
- AI_Joe, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Was that sarcasm? I just used the soundboard and a OS Recorder to record several variations to MP3. I used WireTap Pro.
- theone3, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2No it wasn't sarcasm, he sells prerecorded higher quality 20 or so min sessions.
- alej744, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2These sounds don't relax me, they give me a headache.
- Roger, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Ambient electronica FTW
- toney, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Lol....Robin Divers is a godess. I'd pump up the volume to 100 on 'DRUMS' 'THUNDER' and 'GULLS' while I watch her cross stitch naked and let my mind 'WONDER'
excerp of Robins musings:
"I found that when listen to the music I am more creative. I'm back doing cross stitch and the music keeps me focused where as before, my mind would wonder and I would become depressed. " Ms. Divers - JC120, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Nice, now if I could only put these sounds on my ipod...
- ninjasquirrel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2@ChzPlz
I work with the guy who runs this site... he got a laugh out of that one too. - Twango, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Nice. Throw a few dozen rhythmic loops in there, some hot vocals, a little melody generator ... rave on
- edwardbc, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Really good idea, specially for people in annoying offices :). I would like to see it improved and with more sounds...
- jjmcwill, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I work as a software developer in an "open" cube arrangement. It's very loud here. People have no clue how to restrain themselves from having impromptu coding discussions among 2 to 4 people while distracting everyone else in the vicinity.
I find neutral soundtracks like these very helpful in blocking out all the annoying, distracting noise happening around me. - Agret, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1If your profession is sound design just make your own damn nature mix already.
- alej744, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Gay... shareware.
- jorgenmz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0var. 16 - stereo - 210 reminds me of Earthbound (those places with UFOs...)
- hkrabye, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I would never be able to relax or sleep with these terrible sounding sounds in my ears! Natural sounds have high resolution and an endless variety of details. These sounds are mechanical and cheap. Sorry, the idea is quite good - but not the solution. (I grew up with music, and my profession is sound design.)
- CDivers, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0The comments you and your immature friends made about me are quite disturbing. I want these postings removed immediately and an apology placed on this site. Robin Divers.
- SoniaGallagher, on 05/20/2009, -0/+0This is fantastic! And very creative!
- zhawhe, on 03/10/2009, -0/+0nice sounds for relax

try http://www.braineditor.com free binaural beats if you are interested as I am getting addicted to it, it is binaural beat but very pleasant listening and ll certainly alter your mind within minutes.. I found them from youtube here http://youtube.com/watch?v=a_oV96OIwFA - mrburns2007, on 03/20/2009, -0/+0I've used this software called atmosphere deluxe for a long while now. I paid for the upgrade because I felt it was well worth it but the free version is great too. In my opinion it's by far the best nature sounds generator available for PC and it has a build in recorder which suits me as I don't have a PC in my bedroom and I like to fall asleep to my recordings.

I hope you enjoy it too ;-) - nkthen, on 03/24/2008, -1/+1There's also a new form of chi in the forum of Chi Running. Check it out: http://www.chirunningonline.com
- nthep, on 10/29/2007, -1/+0I also like BackSounds (http://www.backsounds.co.uk) which gives you complete control over your relaxing soundscapes.
- cbiz, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Make your perfect mix and use Total Recorder to make real time mp3's for your iPod. Plan B put soft music on and open the window when it's raining.
- benlebar, on 10/12/2007, -9/+3What are these sounds, 11kHz? Ick. The lo-fi screws with the quality too much and ends up being more distracting than relaxing. I was actually excited for half a second that there was a free tool for good nature sounds, because I've looked for them before and most are shareware. Good idea, poor execution. Disappointing. No digg.
- Kahnza, on 10/12/2007, -14/+2wow thats some nasty sound quality. And it only came out of 1 speaker. No digg
nvm on the one speaker part. But it still sounds like crap.

What is Digg?
