- Fieri, on 10/10/2007, -4/+42I've heard a couple tracks in advance (Deliverance of the Heart is AWESOME) and this thing looks absolutely beautiful. Even the album and CD artwork is unbelievable.
A huge bow and heartfelt thanks to the OCR community for this FREE gem of a music album. Waiting with anticipation. - MaxFrost, on 10/10/2007, -3/+25This needs more press!! get it out!
- djpretzel, on 10/10/2007, -2/+19Thanks for the diggs everybody - keep spreadin' the word!
- ilovepsi, on 10/10/2007, -3/+18It's out now! You can grab it via torrent or via mirrors, although I highly recommend the torrent so that the servers aren't so strained
- Elranzer, on 10/10/2007, -0/+13The only reason the name "Final" Fantasy is ironic is because Square named the game thinking it would be the last game they would ever make. Previous "gems" like Thexder, Rad Racer, King's Knight and Deep Dungeon bombed pretty bad, they nearly went bankrupt.
- Hemophiliac, on 10/10/2007, -3/+15If you have any appreciation for final fantasy VII or for it's music alone, this is worth checking out. With so much quality in 45 tracks, it'll take you a long time to really get your head around everything, but so worth it when you do.
- DolphinGL, on 10/10/2007, -1/+13This is the best content I've seen on Digg for awhile.
- Skunkhair, on 10/10/2007, -1/+13SEED Damn you! SEED!!
- KyjL, on 10/10/2007, -3/+14First Relics of the Chozo, then Blood on the Asphalt, now this
I ***** love OCR - zirconst, on 10/10/2007, -0/+10ALL tracks are completely new, made just for this project. Glad (most of) you folks are enjoying it :)
- Elranzer, on 10/10/2007, -0/+9There is only one OST (original soundtrack), the one Uematsu wrote. All others are Arranged Soundtracks.
- kabitoSDMF, on 10/10/2007, -2/+10You must encrypt the torrent traffic:
http://torrentfreak.com/how-to-encrypt-bittorrent-traffic/ - Skunkhair, on 10/10/2007, -1/+9use utorrent to download and just uncheck all the .wav files. it comes out waaay less than 2+gb
- Klarth, on 10/10/2007, -3/+10This has nothing to do with FFVIII.
- MiamiGuy, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8It's in wav format. It's the original output from the artist. Uncompressed. You can download in mp3 format if you wish by downloading the individual tracks. Anyway awesome work and it's free!
- Malarie, on 10/10/2007, -2/+9You fail so much. Everytime i watch the FF7 Tech Demo and i hear the music i almost have a tear in my eye (so to speak)
- Ephraim2007, on 10/10/2007, -2/+8good to see OCR still pumping out good stuff
- sucks, on 10/10/2007, -1/+7djpretzel, keep doing what you're doing!
- unearth, on 10/10/2007, -2/+8FF6 did have a pretty badass soundtrack. You're crazy if you think 8's was better than 7's, though.
- skMed, on 10/10/2007, -2/+8Leave your torrents active so others can enjoy this awesome music!
- leahzero, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6FTA: "Arrangements are available under the OverClocked ReMix Content Policy's terms of use."
Link to that content policy: http://www.ocremix.org/info/Content_Policy
So no, there is nothing illegal about you seeding this. - Fizzle, on 10/10/2007, -3/+8OCRemix rocks. They pretty much singlehandedly united video game remix artists and the work that has come out of there is astonishing. Oftentimes surpassing the original work.
If this album is anything like some of the others, I'll definitely be listening to it a lot! - YamiJim, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5try again. Dancing Mad (FF6 Final Boss)
- Nutritious414, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Correct. All tracks were previously unreleased.

http://www.ocremix.org/store/ - GeoffTaucer, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Concurred. Mitsuda is the superior musician, though onestly I think Mitsuda is starting to burn out as well.
HOWEVER, That does nothing to detract from the unadulterated awesomeness of this project. - YamiJim, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5fail. as much as ff7 wasn't my favorite games wise (Materia magic system didn't fit my liking) it was pretty much revolutionary in the music department, moving away from the midis of old and really taking advantage of the CD format as well as the epic scale of the game and music. and the prelude (included in 2,3,4,5,6,7, ect) is probably the 2nd most memorable video game song of all time, next to the super mario theme.
- rand21althor, on 10/10/2007, -2/+6I've been waiting for this ever since I last heard about it on the last OC ReMix podcast. Great that this is finally out.
- Fentekreel, on 10/10/2007, -2/+5Can i purchase it? i'ld pay for something like that.
- YourDoom123, on 10/10/2007, -2/+5you realize its personal preference right?
homoomo, i agree, the best. - Amablue, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3There are a variety of other game series that have fan arranged soundtracks on OCR too.
- oneeyedmonkz, on 10/10/2007, -2/+5This just made my day ! Anyone dying to play FF7 now ? I wish they had it on the VC for the Wii !
- erthian, on 10/26/2007, -0/+3Yea, one of these:

I know.. new tech can be confusing at times. Its ok. - rguinn, on 10/10/2007, -2/+5Really, there's something here for everyone. Check it out!
- wattersm, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Pretty much all game music is MIDI, it takes way too much space to store the music any other way. The sound chips on consoles have gotten a lot better, MIDI doesn't always mean something that sounds like a tin can.
- roseap, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3Mega Man remixes? I need to get in on that!
- phaseblue, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3First of all, you misspelled Nobuo. Second, what's the point of that post, other than to piss on everyone's parade?
- HawkeEdge, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3If its needed...

Direct download, all 4 cds + images. Mp3 quality. - KrazyGamerHead, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3You RULE djpretzal, my personal favorite work of yours is Gerudo Interlude for Zelda OoT
- auronapern, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2The music here is amazing in my opinion. I doubt very highly, though, that the goal of the artists on this album was to make the music better. The whole idea of remixing is to take a song and put a different spin on it - to see if they can't take it somwehere else. You don't have to like what they did, but at least respect the fact that these people worked hard on these tracks. And just out of curiosity, where ARE your FFX remixes? If you're of the belief that FFX needs more attention DO something about it. Don't just put down the work of others.
- Elranzer, on 10/10/2007, -2/+4If anyone has heard the Blue Dragon soundtrack, or any of the Black Mages albums, they wouldn't be digging you down. Uematsu was good in the past but he is now irrelevant.
- LocalDocal, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3I dug you up for that. The same is absolutely true for me. Even though I only played through FFVII about three or four times (which is actually more than most other games I played), I can recognize almost any track the moment they play. If I don't, however, the thought eats at me madly because I can't it out of my head that I heard the song somewhere.
You know, it's not often that one of my favorite games happens to be a hugely popular game that nearly everyone likes, but one of the few times it is (such as in this case), the benefits are immense. Thank God for all the people who made this album. - phaseblue, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Uematsu's "irrelevant" because you like other people's current work better? Uematsu is probably the top of the list of people that started taking video game music seriously, and influenced tons of people after him. That's about as relevant as it gets.
This is also pretty stupid considering that Uematsu helped get Mitsuda started, which I'd say makes him pretty "relevant" in this context. - windminstrel, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2The WAV's are what, 2Gig? FLAC's are 1.2. 800meg of useless data. You could include scripts to decode the FLAC, and the required utilities (for all platforms) and you'd still be several hundred megabytes ahead.
It's a stupid decision. - Elranzer, on 10/10/2007, -3/+5No, it's not. It's not even the best Final Fantasy entry.
- Fentekreel, on 10/10/2007, -2/+4it was a free compilation ....
- sgxyay, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3Please enjoy track 3, "No Such Thing as the Promised Land"
:) - Fentekreel, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2wish they'd do something like this for ff6....death on a snowfield is amazing
- landroid, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3Wow.....just wow. Unbelievable. You guys really outdid yourselves here.
- leahzero, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3And Chrono Symphonic. :o
