- Dhalsim007, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5Nice idea ... good luck to Matt Ebel. Will go well with "beer and coffee" (though, honestly, beer goes better with wings than coffee.)
- mike1630, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Damn the man :)
- mattbrighton, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Great project, a different way to help support free culture, but I still think the community subscription model will become more sustainable (okay I'm biased / disclosure: http://www.aswarmofangels.com/ ), even if a lot of diggers don't 'dig it' straight away.
- lorductape, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3***** the riaa =]
- britneymason, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Cant wait to get a copy!!
- mrsb, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Will definitely bring back memories since I "attended" each of the concerts in SL! :-)
- DaphneA, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Got my copy! Started listening on the way into work this morning, really done well. And so far I only heard my name once, but I know there will be more. :-)
- schwagcast, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Way to go, Matthew.
Yet another reason why the RIAA and their teams of sharks (did I say sharks? I meant lawyers) are obsolete.
It won't be long until more consumers turn away from spoon-fed commercial radio and discover the vast talent "hidden" in independent music.
If you haven't heard Matthew Ebel's music, you really need to give it a try. It's fun and memorable.
Download it and pod it. - matthewebel, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Not exactly sure how it's piracy since my official policy is "for God's sake, record my concerts and spread 'em around please!".
- uglyredhonda, on 10/11/2007, -1/+0I'm tired of this.
What the ***** does this have to do with the RIAA? There are FAR more bands and musicians that are NOT part of the RIAA than are members. So, what, they're all "giving the finger" to the RIAA by releasing their music independently?
Maybe (and I mean a very light "maybe") this is notable for someone releasing an album via Second Life. But claiming that it's somehow "giving the finger" to the RIAA is just PR *****. - crazysnailboy, on 10/11/2007, -2/+0Is it still piracy if it's authorised?
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -4/+1It's still piracy, and as a result, illegal. What's so innovative about that?
