my guess is that trent allowed any recording equipment into the venue thus allowing fans to bring in gear upwards of $5000 or more (sometimes that's just the mics). these people were probaby present.
it's probably a strategic mix of soundboard and well placed audience (left/right stacks, centered, front of board) recordings...

Interesting to see Trent/ the band make up stuff to sell (I recall he had many different packages/price points on an album) but then turn around and give away just as many hours if not more of stuff to the fans.
Something like that could really only happen if the artist owns the music, and the record company distributes it for them. This way the artist not only makes a living but also (in this case) thrives. - Maalesh, on 03/02/2009, -2/+4Just downloaded "Las Vegas" in 320kbps. I really appreciate the effort, but the audio quality is just not worth the download (unless you're a die-hard fan). Not saying I could have done it better given the tools they had, but 320kbps is complete overkill for an audio source as lousy as this. The other package "The Gifft" might offer better sound quality...
