- VPurpmalkV, on 10/12/2007, -1/+81Not to be a technicality Nazi. But that's not DDR. That's Pump it Up. DDR has Up,Right,Down,Left Arrows
Pump it up has NW, NE, SW, SE, and Center Arrows.
Both fun games. But I'm still more of a DDR lover. I'm just now able to do songs on Heavy with four arrows. I couldn't imagine trying to do some of the Heavy DDR songs with 5 arrows. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+73Will the RIAA be pulling the video down for playing it?
- BugMeNot2, on 10/12/2007, -0/+55It doesn't belong on Digg v2, but it will tomorrow, when Digg v3 is released. :D
- dlynrocks, on 10/12/2007, -1/+50That guy is better than all the other ones ive seen, i like his little flip at the end too.
- charmedguy18, on 10/12/2007, -1/+48Haha, it actually looks like he's dancing, instead of just ferociously stomping!
- invader, on 10/12/2007, -0/+46"In other news, DDR-related fatalities are up 535% this week.."
- KineticFlow, on 10/12/2007, -0/+43More information:
The song that he is playing is "Don't Bother Me" by Korean group Tashannie (now gone)
He chose freestyle of this version, which is one of the most popular freestyle songs.
and the machine is Pump It Up Exceed2..

WPF 2005 First place freestyle video: http://youtube.com/watch?v=SDWFQbGK8VY& - Klisk, on 10/12/2007, -1/+33Just so you guys know, this isn't at an arcade. The kid actually OWNS the machine. I guess it sort of explains why he's so good at it. Still, cool.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+32Thank the stars for v3. All the "this isn't tech" babies can stop crying. How is a video of a video game not tech?
- bashar129, on 10/12/2007, -6/+35Although I think this doesn't belong on digg...that boy can dance.
- defectDS, on 10/12/2007, -3/+31I bet he used to be over 300 pounds.
- rockintom99, on 10/12/2007, -3/+26He *is*
- juicedigital, on 10/12/2007, -0/+23One of the comments on YouTube said it best...
"At that point, if he can dance, why not ***** DDR and go and get some chicks?" - cliffzdude, on 10/12/2007, -0/+21That's what I get for being over 30, I thought DDR was memory.
- asteron, on 10/12/2007, -1/+21Feel free to submit better ones.
- Timan, on 10/12/2007, -3/+17Seeing videos like this, make me want to go out and buy the game lol.
- D4r7h3v1l, on 10/12/2007, -3/+17I understand how you feel, but calling yourself lame will not help your self esteem.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+15It's impossible for me ... probably you too .. and most digg users what with their awkward shuffles and hunched backs and whatnot.
- sirmalloc, on 10/12/2007, -1/+14Not as awesome as one leg DDR guy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ok1Xc01oJ4
- dclowd9901, on 10/12/2007, -0/+13"Seeing videos like this, make me want to go out and buy the game lol."
Somewhere, a Konami marketing person is taking some serious notes. - Kazanoe, on 10/12/2007, -2/+13He should make people pay to watch him, it'd be a good way to earn money off of his ... I wont say hobby because thats way to extreme for a hobby.
- Abatrour, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10Wow, that guy actually has some pretty good moves.
- elusive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10This guy is awesomer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fEfcpRT3ERQ
- mrbiiggy, on 10/12/2007, -7/+16not ddr :(
- cyrix, on 10/12/2007, -3/+12New marketing ploy? They'd just need to find a really obese person, let them play DDR for like a year, and viola....the next Jared.
- bradboob, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9Yeah I thought the same thing.....
- Linkage155, on 10/12/2007, -3/+11Cool moves, but how come it looks like he was not actually hitting any of them?
- flipside89, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8Jesus...that kid can dance. I end up breaking something if I tried some of that stuff.
- SpyDerMann, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9Now the only thing left is going to a bar and ask a girl to dance. No wonder he's the geeks' hero ;-)
- MrObjectional, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7Yeah the true DDR freaks know that that sir, was no DDR. But I bet some DDR people still look up to him.
- Bleek-II, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8That guy with one leg is the MAN! Talk about making the best of things.
- akatrito, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8this guy is my idol.
i seen people do high speed stomping, but once it actually looks like dancing on DDR/PIU then you have gone beyond that point and transcended into something greater. (its ok you can laugh at the ridiculousness of that sentence)
he's got skill like a lvl 50 RPG char with all the good stuff - mozzep, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6My guess would be because he's so good and smooth at it that you simply don't notice.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6that rocks,rather than buy a ps3, i will just get that instead
- BigBroMario, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6It's impressive no matter what dancing game you prefer. Plus, not many DDR players I know dislike PIU, if anything they find it more fun, it's just harder to find in arcades.
- BESTenemy, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Unlike the rest of us that can't even do that. Yes.
- winampman2, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5"Will the RIAA be pulling the video down for playing it?"
No, because its a Korean song. If it was an American song you can bet your ass they would. - Chaos12, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5He hits every single one right if you look at the screen..
- pimpsallad, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6That was actualy cool
- BigBroMario, on 10/12/2007, -3/+6It actually isn't that difficult to learn how to play PIU if you're already good at DDR. I have a friend that adjusted to PIU from only a few months of DDR after about three games of PIU. Now he's about equal at both.
It's just a matter of learning the cross-overs, as there are more than in DDR because of the additional center button. - H2SO4, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5NIce find....very cool
- YURiLOVER, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Thats Smidget, pretty much the USA national champion. He represented the USA in the World Pump Festival 2005 in the Freestyle Division, which is what he does. Of course, there are much better freestylers out there, many Korean, Brazilian, or Mexican. Videos of them can be found at www.ph-online.net
- sinembarg0, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I was suprised he didnt combo the whole thing.
Link to download flv video (change the extension to .flv and play in VLC)
http://www.youtube.com/get_video?video_id=crEz8i6oVpI&l=127&t=OEgsToPDskIEOq67iV2dQ7iYSwaVuWOp - JeffreyAtW, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2That's not the point. He is doing the general chart, but not caring about the scoring - he's caring about making it look good. It's called "freestyle."
- JVLetizia, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Just imagine if that 5 year old kid from the other day keeps at it. He will put this guy to shame...
- lil_isie, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Jesus H. Christ! Faster song nothing. The moves that he did more then well made up for the fact that it was a slower song.
That is ACTUAL dancing, something you will probably never see out of 80% of DDR players or Pump-It-Up players. He has my full props. - J2Duncan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I'm a DDR lover myself but i've always seen the cooler videos being played on PIU. Is PIU out on PS2, because my current dance pad will support it and would like to try it out.
- babylonian, on 10/12/2007, -4/+5To Kazanoe: A local beach me and a friend were staying at when I was maybe 15 had a DDR machine. I did some fairly tough song (nothing too hard, maybe Tsugaru or Dead End) and had my buddy hold out a styrofoam cup at the end of the song. Some kid gave us a dollar.
- Soniti, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1LMAO-
The 16 year old has some daddy issues! She's gonna hook up with a 21 year old. It sounded so scandalous when she was like "My mom will be gone all day tomorrow....."
Oh I am so devious.
~Soniti - lil_isie, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I LOVE in the background you hear this chick and guy talking about 'getting together' when she is 16, and he is 21 HA!
