Does anyone have any live Descendents DVDs from this era that they'd recommend? I was born in 1980, so I missed out on seeing this lineup in person.

One word of note, many people think Matt Groenings character of Bart was taken from the Descendants character, Matt was part of the punk scene in the very early 80s when he worked at Tower Records in Hollywood.

I am assuming it took time for the production of the cartoon shorts and the Simpsons characters were in the works beforehand, lending credit to the Descendants being the inspiration for Bart.
