- Spikeyfridge, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I can't believe the inaccuracies within that article. The sad thing is that people would believe it unless they were told the truth (and unfortunately many people will not check back to see the reply). Good on you Darren for putting the record straight. I frequently have my therories when female journalists are such muck rakers.
I've never heard Darren slate Brisbane in any of his interviews, he loves his home country and often mentions and praises it, but unfortunately is not able to live there in his recognised civil partnership which the UK allows - LeannesMum, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Shame on you for not researching your Darren Hayes article fully and reporting truthfully.
After attending several concerts and reading other, more factual articles about him, I can only say that this man is totally a True Blue Brisbanite. I have heard him sell Brisbane and Australia to his many fans and it is always apparent that he loves his homeland.
Brisbane Council should be grateful, not disparaging, for the tourists / fans that come to Brisbane because of Mr Hayes' positive comments. Myself and my family included. - JoyceakaBromley, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Well done Darren, I'm proud of you for responding in this way to these scurrilous lies. I sincerely hope the paper gives your response adequate coverage, so that people can see that what was previously printed was totally untrue.
