- tomwilson81, on 10/10/2008, -2/+84I worked with the guy at Cox Radio in Jacksonville - his name is Gregg Stepp. Pretty nice guy. He got a job out in California and this was his last hoorah. Supposedly the whole thing was a bit that got taken a little too far. He got the idea of a "bit" approved by David Isreal and Bill Hendrich but then when it came time go on-air, he took it a lot farther. Some people in the station the entire script and idea was approved and that nothing he said was a surprise... If that was the case, why the hell would these corporate guys approve someone saying "Rot in hell cox radio"? It's backwards thinking to me.... I guess if the idea was to get the audio spread across the entire internet, then mission accomplished. If their mission was also to get listeners to hate cox radio.... mission accomplished?

It is ridiculous how much people get fired, hired, change time slots, etc. I think they have been through 12 or so program managers since she started. Once radio went corporate, instead of radio personalities, they became radio assets. When a DJ gets fired, the suits don't know and don't care what kind of effect it will have on the community and their lives, they just care that their stock is going up. I ***** hate corporate radio. ***** Cox, and especially ***** Clear Channel. What a bunch of *****.
