- AmishRefugee, on 02/07/2008, -1/+21Led Zeppelin != Lez Zepplin, read closer
buried as inaccurate - tuumi, on 02/07/2008, -3/+14Lez Zepplin - How many people are skimming this article and thinking that LED Zepplin are playing? I know I did. Had to read it twice. I'd almost rather see Lez Zepplin though.
- danielrh9, on 02/07/2008, -4/+11This line up totally sucks. All of those bands that you guys like in fact suck. I know this because my musical taste is superior to everyone. The best bands are the ones you've never heard of and whom I won't bother telling you who they are because you'll just claim you knew of them first.
- darkchild82, on 02/07/2008, -0/+6wait, I thought it was confirmed Led Zeppelin wasn't gonna play.
- Skuzzlbut, on 02/07/2008, -1/+7The fact that Bonnaroo is promoting Lez Zeppelin is shady - is it really Metallica or Matallika? gay
- houler, on 02/07/2008, -2/+7Buried for inaccurate title.
- inactive, on 02/07/2008, -0/+4I ***** missed going in 2003, now im in the air force.. If anybody is going please take a heroic dose of psylocybin mushrooms for me!
- neodorian, on 02/07/2008, -0/+3Wow, glad to see there are still some festivals out there with original and relevant acts instead of just relying on the biggest names out there to drive ticket sales and overpriced merch.
/still, a few good picks on there. It's not a music thread without a surly attitude. - Coffeedemon, on 02/07/2008, -0/+3Or for the most part have not heard much by the bands they say suck.
- AdmiralHalsey, on 02/07/2008, -10/+13Pearl Jam - lame bitch-rock. Kanye West - lame "I'm the *****" pop-rap. Metallica - lack of current artistic credibility/over-the-hill.
Good festival except for the headliners. - bemenaker, on 02/07/2008, -0/+3Twist my arm......
- sgtpppr, on 02/07/2008, -0/+3Wow, I can't believe this made the front page with a completely inaccurate headline like this. Led Zeppelin is NOT playing Bonaroo.
- RuthlessPirate, on 02/07/2008, -0/+2Led Zeppelin isn't playing, Lez Zeppelin is.
- inactive, on 02/07/2008, -0/+2fixed :)
- jotatmo, on 02/07/2008, -0/+2What a dank lineup!
- frankietears, on 02/07/2008, -0/+2Hey, I wonder when your crappy Mecrappica joke will catch.
- Purin, on 02/07/2008, -3/+5Pretty much spot on, I don't know why you're getting dugg down.
- diggzoid, on 02/07/2008, -0/+2Dugg for these awesome bands: Battles, MGMT, Broken Social Scene, The Fiery Furnaces. Try to catch MGMT right now on tour w/ Yeasayer before the blow up to bigger venues. Headliners = yawn.
- Otto, on 02/07/2008, -0/+2http://img462.imageshack.us/img462/1238/malk7ax.jp ...
- bemenaker, on 02/07/2008, -1/+3Mecrappica? Please WTF Bonnaroo? Why bring that HAS BEEN POS band to a kick ass music fest like this? That band is washed up, lost it's sound, lot's it's style, treats it's fans like crap, and they don't even fit with the style of music fest that this is.
- catalysis, on 02/07/2008, -0/+2Ah good, time for the annual "all the bands at bonnaroo suck" comments by people who have never gone and will never go to bonnaroo.
- cannonball, on 02/07/2008, -0/+1Dugg also for Ghostland Observatory.
- cannonball, on 02/07/2008, -1/+2or he doesn't know ***** about music...
- CopyNinja, on 02/07/2008, -0/+1hehee whats a Bonnaroo? Battles are playing though... so thats cool.
- BigLLamasHouse, on 02/07/2008, -1/+2Metallica, aw hell yeah
- Coffeedemon, on 02/07/2008, -1/+2He saw a name on a top 100 list somewhere and decided it was ruining his "indie cred" to like them any more.
- cannonball, on 02/07/2008, -0/+1go back to brittney...
- Deranged, on 02/07/2008, -0/+1LEZ zeppelin has been at bonnaroo for a few years now. They are one of the best known cover bands.
But Robert Plant (Lead singer, Led Zeppelin) will be there along side Allison Krauss - june, on 02/07/2008, -0/+1I still think that Jimmy Page might show up during Plant's set as a surprise.
Tom Morello joined Tool last year, which was mind blowing. - TheNik, on 02/07/2008, -1/+2Minus the Bear? Ladytron? My Morning Jacket? Man - almighty god of musak, please teach me your elite ways.
- letitbleed62, on 02/07/2008, -0/+1i thought Pearl Jams last album was really good but i agree with you on the other ones
- Otto, on 02/08/2008, -0/+1How tolerant music fest goers are is irrelevant. Metallica still sucks the big one. I mean, when they were just rockers, I could respect that. But then they turned themselves into whiny bitches.
It's hard to maintain the image as a hard rock star when you've proven yourself to be a completely arrogant douchebag. - CrackaPleeze, on 02/07/2008, -0/+1Which is weird, since they're not on sale yet.
...? - michaelfitz, on 02/07/2008, -0/+1to the public. good point, though.
- 6502programmer, on 02/07/2008, -0/+1Lez Zeppelin? Now, if only they could get Mini Kiss, who bill themselves as "The Hottest, Littlest KISS Tribute Cover Band in the World", then they'd be set.
- DoubleClef, on 02/07/2008, -0/+1Inaccurate? Lez Zeppelin anyone?
- sodypop77, on 02/07/2008, -0/+1Disappointing headliners. Here's a great site with other festival lineups, although many are just rumors at this point. The kid running the site has been quite active in updating it:
http://consequenceofsound.com/summer-festival-outl ... - 0crabby0, on 02/07/2008, -0/+1If diesel isn't too high, I might crank up the RV.
Digg bus anyone? - sodypop77, on 02/07/2008, -0/+1I saw Lez at Voodoo fest last year, the lead singer can really wail and she's tantalizingly hot too. Alas I will be sitting the roo out this year.
The lineup really is too mainstream although they still have some jam bands in there. I just don't think shrooms and Metallica would be a good mix. Think I'll get spun at the Summer Camp Festival this year instead. Maybe Next year Coffee County! - Coffeedemon, on 02/07/2008, -1/+1Neither did Metallica.
"Metallica hired online consulting firm NetPD to monitor the Napster service for a weekend. A list of 335,435 Napster users who were believed to be sharing Metallica's music was compiled, and the 60,000 page document was delivered to Napster's office as Metallica requested the users be banned from the service.[44] The users were banned, and rap artist Dr. Dre joined the lawsuit against Napster, which resulted in an additional 230,142 Napster users banned.[45]" - Wikipedia.
theres a difference between getting banned on napster and getting sued. - inactive, on 02/07/2008, -0/+0plant is gonna be there. maybe he'll play some Zeppelin songs.
- inactive, on 02/07/2008, -1/+1if i had to listen to all those "indie" bands i think i would vomit.
- mywhitenoise, on 02/07/2008, -1/+1This is from my livejournal info, which hasn't been updated in 2 years.

- zombiedepot, on 02/07/2008, -1/+1Matallika never sued their fans though.
- KenMixtape, on 02/07/2008, -2/+2They're not playing.
People are seeing "Lez Zeppelin" and getting overexcited.
http://www.bonnaroo.com see for yourself. - fasteddw, on 02/08/2008, -0/+0What would you rather see Linkin Park?!? Get real, PJ live puts their albums to shame and not many bands can say that and mean it. I've seen both live at Alpine Valley and there is no comparison. PJ will be the surprise of the Bonaroo experience for those that have not seen them live. Stop hating and let reality come into your life. Peace.
- mywhitenoise, on 02/07/2008, -1/+1Minus the Bear ***** sucks ass. My Morning Jacket is alright.
- yikiad, on 02/07/2008, -1/+1i took the furniture right out of their living room with kazaa
- MusicmanWill, on 07/03/2008, -0/+0As a musician myself, you had everything here. One of my favorites is Zappa plays Zappa I love Jam Band and Frank Zappa's music, but the best of the best are lined up for Bonnaroo, Blues great, BB King, Latin rock (Ozomatli) Dang !
