Usenet going down will be a major hit, as it has been around for such a long time; however, these industry acts will only prompt users to seek alternative forms of illegal file-sharing, e.g., rapidshare, megaupload, and various file-exchanging forums... Users are going to fight fire with fire, creating a vicious cycle of legal actions leading to few users being "made an example of," all the while new methods of sharing content are being exposed and/or created on a daily basis. The music industry is pathetic.
