Heartwarming. - Elliuotatar, on 04/28/2009, -16/+59So Digg is the only site that's allowed to post links to interesting content they discover on other sites?
- KrisStrong, on 04/29/2009, -0/+43Yes, THAT Earth.

- CCunitz, on 04/28/2009, -0/+30Comes as a bit of a sour note that the lead-in Musician has passed on.
His name is Roger Ridley and we here in the Santa Monica area loved him with all our hearts.
RIP Roger. It's great to see that your work is still affecting people.

After it was over, I felt like I could cry. - DiggzDE, on 04/28/2009, -2/+24Do people really not see the flaw in Elliuotatar's argument?
Digg is a social news site that allows users to submit links to original content. It doesn't contain much content itself but rather is an intermediary linking you to new content on other sites. The blog in question is made for the purpose of writing their own content to host on their site for users to read on THEIR site alone. It isn't classified as the same type of site as Digg is.
In this case the digg story linked did not take you to the original content. Instead it took you to some blog talking about it (Digg still did it's job by linking to site, it can't be held responsible if the link isn't to original source). For the blog site though, they provided no direct link to the original Vimeo site. So Elliuotatar's argument is void here by stating that Digg shouldn't be the only site to "link" to content when in this case the site he is referencing to didn't even do that. It didn't even mention the actual names of the producers either or anything.
Had Gizmodo linked to the original content directly, I wouldn't think much of this. But they didn't. So I consider this equivalent to blogspam. Sure it is interesting but for something like this, credit should be given where credit is due. And that means a link to the original content. - Allibaster, on 04/28/2009, -4/+25Santa Monica.....super cool to the homeless.

- inactive, on 04/28/2009, -3/+20Hello, I am a RIAA lawyer and I represent the copyright holder of this song and I will be suing all these musicians and the producer of this video for copyright infringement.
- aaabbbsss, on 04/28/2009, -4/+21The blogtrafficwhore who posted this blog just so happen to inform us very effectively about the origin of this video. I would rather have that than just the video itself.
- dizam, on 04/28/2009, -4/+21I ordered three copies of the cd&dvd, at $10 each. Great gift for the money.
But not for mother's day, don't be a cheap ass! -
