- JacNet, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Buried for being plain advertisment.
- wirah, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6MySpace is GARBAGE
- squirrelza, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6This site kills my eyes.
- rarkai, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4"Best Myspace Band" is an oxymoron.
- lucid270, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3how long until the takedown notice from myspace?
- retral, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Oh, crap. A myspace associated site landed a spot on digg's front page. What is the world coming to?
- idonthack, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2ox·y·mo·ron (noun)
Pronunciation: "äk-sE-'mor-"än
a combination of contradictory or incongruous words (as cruel kindness);
something (as a concept) that is made up of contradictory or incongruous elements
So how does "Best MySpace Band" fit the definition? - neatflux, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2asdfrewq is right. Sorry if you hate MySpace, but its true.
- neatflux, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1bury me
- mudfly, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1lol I personally know 2 of the people featured on the front page of that site. Way to go Rhodes and Scott!
- doshindude, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2myspace=crap.
- lamborgini, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I would say there is plenty of talent on myspace, yet anyone willingly searching throught a sight of shameless self-promotion for good relatively amateur music (or whatever they may be searching for) I praaay for youuu.
Reading pages of self-descriptions of semi-obscure bands doesn't sound interesting at all. - Ryanxv1, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Dugg because it gives underground bands a chance. Whether or not you like myspace, it isn't a factor, because almost every band has a myspace. It's a good way to get the word on your music out.
- mrno, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0some are pretty good. i mostly listen to the electronic music and only way to find out what to listen to is going through DJ mags, then search on myspace without trusting the myspace chart.
- alexhudish, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Best Myspace Band gives the bands an extra opportunity of public recognition.
No one sells anything. No one even asks for donations, or "click here" crap.
It's a pure gem by musicians for musicians.
The chart is not money-driven. For the first time in history, it's all about GOOD MUSIC. The fact that I'm 1st there right now doesn't change anything. I did and probably will again find out about great bands from this site.
Alex - rabblerouser, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"Get the word on your music out" to who? There are, allegedly, more than 3 million bands on MySpace. The majority of them lost in the crowd.
- doshindude, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It's still myspace.
- MusicTipsBlog, on 02/19/2009, -0/+0***** is a great band on myspace! Check them out! :D
- Smuikas, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Can't imagine why.. it's free advertisement for Myspace. It drives traffic. It's a feature that Myspace lacks, which is doubly painful because it was originally made for musicians.
- TriZz, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1I think it's funny that the comments sections keeps denouncing this yet - it made the front page because the diggs keeps increasing. How does that happen?
- greymarketbrain, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1Buried cuz it's about myspace
- asdfrewq, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1Hardly. Considering pretty much every band in the world has a myspace profile these days.
- tobbe303, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0Good idea. Although, there's really only one in there you guys should vote for; Rymdkraft. Happy and fast-paced bit pop / blip blop with NES/C64/Chip influences. Go vote!
- Kourgin, on 10/12/2007, -6/+1Oww! My sperm!
- danielbenzvi, on 10/12/2007, -5/+0great site
