- xIrish, on 11/08/2009, -3/+18I understand Bono can get a bit preachy and that his antics oftentimes deserve to be poked fun at (who didn't crack up at South Park's parody of him?). But really, I think some of the Bono hate is a little unwarranted. He's done a lot of great humanitarian and philanthropic work over the years. And it's not just a self-edifying thing--he's kept up with it since the 80's, something a lot of those other Live Aid bands can't say.

I mean, sure it would be cool to see a band perform live, but many bands release DVDs for that, so I don't see how a live stream would be much different (other than the fact that you get to see it early). I just really hope concerts doesn't die anytime soon because of things like this.

- fandyboy, on 11/08/2009, -0/+1POPmart and ZooTV are still mind blowing shows. I saw this latest one at Wembley and to be honest it wasn't as good but come on, they are 50 year old guys, they have made some of the best albums ever written (Joshua Tree, Achtung Baby).

Much more than the self serving politicians and any other rock singer. When 4 senators were about to vote against debt relief, they were persuaded by the threat of U2 coming to town with their pictures on the giant screens shown to impressionable youngsters. Now that is rock and roll.

It was good, and I hope that some non-sellout bands (do they exist anymore) take advantage of it soon. YouTube could become an amazing live concert venue.
