First and foremost, it isn't just me, this is a collaboration amongst a lot of internet people. Anyone who casts a vote with the tool, diggs any of these stories, does anything like this is helping to get Rick Astley the award. So thankyou all, I cant take all the credit.
Secondly, the votes she's talking about is for a poll of "does Rick deserve this award" not the actual vote count. We've lodged over 42 million successful votes with the RickVoter tool in the last week and there were many more attempts than that and having been in contact with some people internally at MTV the vote counts are off the chart (I cant say what). It's madness.
Lastly, if you want to see a great internet cult icon win an award, please Digg this article, Vote with our tool at bestactever.com and join in on all the things that are happening. We want to get Rick this award.

Now it is blatantly obvious to MTV that we cheated, and chances are high that they give the price to #2, or scrap the contest all together, because they realize how ridiculous it is (which would be a huge victory IMO, Tokio Hotel and Britney, REALLY?).

So having 20 threads voting twice a second is just adding to the server load and overall reducing the amount of votes he's getting, simply because other votes for Astley might not be getting through due to all of the 503 errors that are resulting from the server overload. -
