- doublsh0t, on 11/03/2009, -1/+28His Running With Scissors album--that's like my entire middle school life right there.
- ludovicah, on 11/03/2009, -2/+26This is a REALLY excellent interview, Straight up, honest and real. Like it
- mostie, on 11/03/2009, -0/+19"Dare to be Stupid" is 7 kinds of awesome.
- capheine, on 11/03/2009, -0/+19That interview wasn't nearly long enough. I was really bummed when it ended after only one page :(
- Domthedude001, on 11/03/2009, -0/+12Why should we care?
- doshindude, on 11/03/2009, -1/+12He who is tired of Weird Al is tired of life.
I feel like I need to rewatch UHF now. Gonna do that. - j0etb, on 11/03/2009, -1/+9Weird Al rules.
- JackRedmond, on 11/03/2009, -0/+7"These are my confessions... Once I blew my nose and then I wiped it on your cat."
- VinceIP, on 11/03/2009, -0/+7I blame Weird Al and his "White and Nerdy" song for my miserable junior high depression.
- NotAChickenHawk, on 11/03/2009, -1/+8I know Darth Vader's really got you annoyed, but remember if you kill him that you'll be unemployed...
- Dunnion, on 11/03/2009, -0/+6His stuff has always been awesome, and puts on a great concert too.
- naner, on 11/03/2009, -0/+6I went to a Weird Al concert with my dad when I was in middle school. Most certainly a family bonding experience. Keep up the good work, Mr. Yankovic. I want to be able to take my kids to one of your shows.
- twinklyJesus, on 11/03/2009, -1/+6Before there was Weird Al, there was Ray Stevens. Before Ray it was Spike Jones and his Orchestra. These guys are truly rare and extremely talented.
- nebloof, on 11/03/2009, -0/+5I can HEAR Weird Al singing a parody of Lady GaGa - Poker Face in my head. It would be awesomely hilarious and brilliantly done with Weird Al's voice.
- teamgwho, on 11/03/2009, -1/+6CH: Is there a typical kind of Weird Al fan?
WA: The joke is that all my fans are twelve-year-old boys which is not true, but I can kinda see where that myth comes from because that's probably my most energetic hardest-core fan.
Actually, that would mean his typical fan is a 37 year old guy.
the truth is, there's no typical fan. Saw him on tour a few years back for my birthday and there were old ladies, old dudes, nerds, punks, bikers, paris hilton types, college frat types, fat guys, skinny guys, businessmen, and everyone there knew all the lyrics. In fact, the test to see if you're a real Weird Al fan is if you hear the original song on the radio but find yourself singing the weird al version. or worse, if you can't even remember the original song lyrics, then you're hardcore.
//is actually 38
//is actually old - TheKillDoctor, on 11/03/2009, -0/+4and you just described Al too.
- NeddieSeagoon, on 11/04/2009, -0/+4I was driving on the freeway in the fast lane with a rabid wolverine in my underwear, when suddenly...
- crazyhorse13, on 11/04/2009, -0/+3Way back when I was just a little bitty boy living in a box under the stairs in the corner of the basement of the house half a block down the street from Jerry's Bait shop...
- TrevorBelmont, on 11/04/2009, -0/+3I still have my ticket stub from when I went and saw UHF. Damn, I love that movie.
- coondog35, on 11/04/2009, -0/+2Little Timmy found the marble in the oatmeal!
- Kronos6948, on 11/04/2009, -0/+2Polka Party was mine. Thanks for making me feel old. :(
- chargen, on 11/04/2009, -0/+2Dugg for: "I'm supposed to be a shameless leech, and I do it well."
- boss1000, on 11/04/2009, -0/+2Favorite memory about Weird Al: the person who introduced me to him had me listen to "Albuquerque", naturally. Later, we ask to borrow someone's CD player to listen to "one song." The (gracious) lender starts asking if we're done before Al even gets to that little chocolate mint on his pillow that he loves so very, very much.
- aurorous, on 11/04/2009, -0/+1hmm... You know they're remaking every other damn thing out there they should re-make UHF... but the twist would be to let Al re-make it himself and do it his way.
running with scissors and poddle hat were a little stale and he seemed like he was just re-treading same old ground. luckily straight otu of lynwood was awesome and really went in some new directions. - aosmitty, on 11/03/2009, -0/+1Frank's 2000" TV made it? interesting...
And this article sent me back to my Weird Al stuff for the first time in too long - solecize, on 11/03/2009, -0/+1I saw that movie- at the end Christian Slater gets bitten and turned into a nerd by Weird Al's old room mate from New Orleans.
- coondog35, on 11/04/2009, -0/+1Cartman was hilarious too.
- Kronos6948, on 11/04/2009, -0/+1You make me wanna build a model of the Eiffel Tower out of Belgian Waffles.
- coondog35, on 11/04/2009, -0/+1*gasp*
- whiteboyrob, on 11/04/2009, -0/+1In 5th grade I was allowed to pick one CD as my present for doing well throughout the school year...I chose Weird Al "Dare to Be Stupid". Formative times those were...
- coondog35, on 11/04/2009, -0/+1"I really like to dress up as Shirley Temple and spank myself with a hockey stick."
- nebloof, on 11/04/2009, -0/+1AGREED 100%. I wasn't going to mention that, but since you did XD. I know some people made a "full-version" mix with what South Park had in the episode, but it'd be awesome if they could release the entire song with Cartman singing. Or just release a Cartman sings Karaoke album or something like that.
- j0etb, on 11/04/2009, -0/+1My my, this here Anakin guy
- mwrl, on 11/04/2009, -0/+1Did you stick your head in a microwave and give yourself a tan?
- mwrl, on 11/04/2009, -0/+1I was one of the lucky ones to see that over seeing Batman. That was a good choice!
- coondog35, on 11/04/2009, -0/+1Keep an eye on this:
http://www.southparkstudios.com/crap/downloads/sou ... - toleshei, on 11/04/2009, -0/+1No Nature Trail to Hell? Best song ever.
- Nhoji, on 11/04/2009, -0/+1Weird Al played a show here once (Pittsburgh PA) and it was PACKED.
It was a free show, but the cross section of different social groups in attendance was astounding.
Jocks, Punks, Goths, Middle-Agers, the works.
Weird Al transcends boundaries. - AdmiralAcbar, on 11/04/2009, -0/+1I. HATE. SAUERKRAUT. That's all I'm really trying to say.
- BKred, on 11/04/2009, -0/+1...you know the place.
- Black666Widow, on 11/04/2009, -0/+0I love his songs, didn't like his movies tho.
Yeah Albuquerque is one of his greatest and All about the Pentiums. - coondog35, on 11/04/2009, -1/+1Digg this if you have actually tried a Twinkie wiener sandwich.
I have.
...be honest. - ianzu, on 11/03/2009, -6/+4He should be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Why are we screwing around with this health care *****? Priorities, people!
- jinxmix, on 11/03/2009, -19/+0too long, didn't read
