- Smokeydabear, on 05/29/2009, -7/+45American Idol ***** blows a dog's dick for quarters.
- wesleyzero, on 05/29/2009, -5/+35The real controversy? Why this show is still on the air.
- inactive, on 05/29/2009, -3/+17Who?
- borez, on 05/29/2009, -3/+17I could not care ***** less.
- Cerridwena, on 05/29/2009, -4/+12It doesn't matter anyway - Idol winners aren't as successful as the runners-up.
when can we be rid of this nonsense? - hawkspur, on 05/29/2009, -1/+8It's as if millions of teenage girls cried out in horror, and were suddenly silenced.
- NLaBruiser, on 05/29/2009, -3/+9At least Idol has given us Carrie Underwood, so there's a little bit of 'Win' in Idol's favor. Can't stand country music, but ....Meow.
- fleischkopf, on 05/29/2009, -3/+9Everything on TV is fake.
- gordigor, on 05/29/2009, -1/+7Not that I care too much about the show, but Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood and Jordan Sparks all were the winners... and successful.
- Rivetgeek, on 05/29/2009, -2/+7As ***** as it is, its easily one of the highest rated shows on tv. Teeny boppers eat that ***** up.
- arthursk, on 05/29/2009, -0/+5*married
- unclefire, on 05/29/2009, -0/+5Thank you Captain Obvious...
- Rivetgeek, on 05/29/2009, -2/+6You're a ***** moron. Of course he is gay, he came out before the show even started.
- nutmac, on 05/29/2009, -0/+4Kelly and Carrie, yeah, but Jordin Sparks? None of her songs nor her album hit #1. American Idol no longer generates that much sales.
Let's see. Clay is more popular than Ruben. Diana DeGarmo and Jennifer Hudson are more popular than Fantasia. As for the rest, I stopped watching when Sanjaya and his sister got booted off the show. - evilregis, on 05/29/2009, -2/+5Dugg for NOT saying "I could care (*****) less."
- cuoops, on 05/29/2009, -0/+3The winner is already picked earlier in the day. Ryan Seacrest said he knew who the winner was before the show. The video is on TMZ somewhere.
- GREEDOnvrFIRED, on 05/29/2009, -2/+5oh my controversial pretend voting system in pretend election on tv.
- Dronez, on 05/29/2009, -3/+6If this show was just perpetual auditions, had more insulting remarks and only showed the funny videos, then it would be good.
- Boracho, on 05/29/2009, -1/+4Buried for being Idol related. Show is ***** stupid.
- ShoujoKakumei, on 05/29/2009, -0/+2Oh for *****'s sake, I actually kind of LIKE American Idol and I'm sick of hearing about this crap. It's always been a popularity contest instead of a talent contest - this is NOT new with this season. It wasn't a conspiracy and it wasn't fixed - it was all about image, period, just like it's always been. Why are people so surprised?
Adam will go on to sell a ***** of CDs, and Kris will probably do okay as well. I'm pretty sure runner-up is better for Adam in the long run anyway because he's only locked in with Idol's record label for one year instead of what, three?
Plus, the media is acting like they BOTH won anyway - check out all the shows and interviews. They're both in most of the videos, and they're hilarious together anyway. I think they should be contractually obligated to ONLY give interviews together. xD;;; - KyotoWolf, on 05/29/2009, -1/+3As someone who isn't American and as such has never seen American Idol I've only ever heard of Kelly Clarkson (and only 1 of her songs at that). A success rate of 1 in 8 is pretty bad.
- MCA2142, on 05/29/2009, -1/+3Queen is considering Lambert for their frontman.
http://www.billboard.com/bbcom/news/queen-consider ...
I needed to hear this like I need a warm glass of *****. - Tddupre, on 05/29/2009, -1/+3You can't say everything on TV is fake. Fox News is Fair, Balanced, and Accurate.
/s - Maciula, on 05/29/2009, -0/+2too bad that the same cannot be said about Ruben Studdard, Fantasia Barrino and Taylor Hicks...
- NLaBruiser, on 05/29/2009, -0/+2On the first part - she's a fantastic singer. I've already said I don't like country music, so I don't make a point to listen to any of her stuff - but a good singer is still a good singer even if you don't like the style.
And on point two.......we can only hope. - mparker21311, on 05/29/2009, -2/+4This is among the few submissions that I actually logged in to bury.
- inactive, on 05/29/2009, -1/+2You can't keep using the Firefly and AD as examples now that Dollhouse and Sit Down Shut Up have been given a chance, but otherwise I agree with you.
- MikeyMoose, on 05/29/2009, -0/+1"The fracas has embarrassed AT&T..." WTF? They shunt their network through the NSA enabling secret, warrantless surveillance of citizens and THIS is what they're embarrassed about?!?
- user500, on 05/29/2009, -0/+1like many women with no sound many women are hot, with sound to obnoxious to stand near
- AbominableHoman, on 05/29/2009, -3/+4I couldn't have said it any more eloquently -- I agree.
- user500, on 05/29/2009, -0/+1So while ***** like this or ***** like Firefly, Arrested Development, etc ever make it on the air. If this is a the crap they can come up with we would be better with a test pattern.
- clickwir, on 05/29/2009, -2/+3American Idol? wtf is digg coming to?
- tj_walker, on 05/30/2009, -0/+1Anyone that takes an Art and makes it a contest is already off with a flawed thing. At least that is how it looks to me.
*shrug*
= : )K - Vicromano311, on 06/01/2009, -0/+1It's a tv show, no intelligent person should even give a rats ass about the waste of time called American Idol.
- IllBeBack, on 05/29/2009, -0/+1Yes, why was Lawrence Welk canceled?!
Now THAT was good TV!
/s - user500, on 05/29/2009, -1/+2 considering Fox's right wing branch is trying to keep that one alive particularly on the "O'liely report- the right spin zone"
- nepidae, on 05/29/2009, -2/+3Also it prepares them when they see people using sexual orientation or skin color as an excuse to failing.
- ironhide, on 05/29/2009, -0/+1More people care about Idol.
- scoottie, on 05/29/2009, -0/+1Just look at all the winners there is a clear pattern to make sure that there is the most diverse group of winners possible
- 2matrix, on 05/29/2009, -1/+2To me there is no question Adam Lambert won. It's not that Chris isn't talented, it's just that Chris like many other contestants was your average guy next door, boy band type - to me he didn't stand out, he just blended in. Chis even stated his album would be full of adult contemporary music - how is that going to sell in this day and age ?
At the end of the day it doesn't really matter, idol winners don't always go onto being success stories, but people in the bottom ranks often do.... - gl77, on 05/29/2009, -0/+1don't forget Fringe.
- amoeba, on 05/31/2009, -1/+1Adam Lambert was the obvious winner in terms of talent, something dodgy was going on there
- BrokenVisage, on 05/29/2009, -1/+1Though your word makes sense, I think you mean incites*. But I could be wrong.
- kaosethema, on 05/29/2009, -1/+1american idle [sic]
as important as twatter and fakebook - marmotjmarmot, on 05/29/2009, -1/+1I have yet to watch more than one episode. Still waiting for the next William Hung.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zcc8dTqflh8 - Lumbre619, on 05/29/2009, -1/+1Here's me; not giving a *****. The only time giving a ***** and American Idol go together is when they cancel this damn, non-creative, piece of ***** show.
- inactive, on 05/29/2009, -0/+0huh? why?
