- irvman21, on 04/12/2008, -2/+7Alicia has proved one thing without a doubt, the ability to carry a tune does not preclude one from being a ***** idiot.
- Rain7128, on 04/12/2008, -0/+4She's an idiot. Did you ever hear her speak during an interview? If I closed my eyes, I'd swear I was listening to some thug in the ghetto.
- inactive, on 04/12/2008, -0/+3Welcome to the Obama generation.
- obliviousfool, on 04/12/2008, -0/+2I wouldn't point to any sort of conspiracy, but I've often wondered why the black community doesn't embrace and celebrate its rich legacy of peace-loving musicians. You'd literally have hundreds (and perhaps thousands) of incredible, peaceful musicians to celebrate with!
- gquaglia, on 04/12/2008, -1/+3I guess its easier to blame others for your problems, then you don't really have to solve them yourself since they are out of your control. As long as prominent black leaders and entertainers perpetuate this belief, the black race is doomed to the realm of poverty and violence.
- inactive, on 04/12/2008, -1/+3Wow, shes read a "few" books.
She's out of her ***** mind, cant wait to see how the black community spins this one.
probably something like this,
"this is something that has been said in the barbershops, and black churches for decades" - obliviousfool, on 04/12/2008, -1/+3Every comment you make strikes a new, resounding low.
- pixelate, on 04/12/2008, -1/+2She wears an AK-47 charm around her neck... and she is a highly-paid Target spokeswoman. Either there's a really obvious joke or an endorsement deal someone is missing here.
- inactive, on 04/12/2008, -3/+4Her white mom needs to knock some sense into her half-nappy head.
- inactive, on 04/13/2008, -0/+1Next thing you know, fried chicken is also a government plot to kill all the blacks via obesity. She's a racist nut, and her music sucks too.
- govsucks, on 04/12/2008, -0/+1Gangsta rap is all the fault of white people and the government, now where is that AK-47 necklace boo?
- inactive, on 04/12/2008, -1/+2WTF are you talking about, SHE said that RAP was created by the white man to kill Black people.
- boombye, on 04/13/2008, -0/+1Around late 80s and early 90s, most labels were only willing to sign people who talked about the gangster lifestyle and their videos got the most exposure than say positive hip hop that dealt more with the art of MCing or turntablism.. The mainstream music stations have always preferred to play the big label rap songs about violence over the more positive and independent artists, turn your radio on later, it's still just as obvious and insulting to an entire generation of people that want to better themselves but instead our radios are full of gangsta rap music written by white guys. You think I'd know something about the music I've listened to all my life, I even have Sugar Hill Gang upstairs somewhere on vinyl still.
- gryphon50, on 04/13/2008, -0/+0yes, blame all your problems on other people. Gangsta rap was developed by the government, crack was developed by the government, etc. If only our leaders weren't continously coming up with ways to subvert the black community, they would be so successful by now, right?
- boombye, on 04/12/2008, -1/+1because you're the expert on rap and interscope only wanting gangsta music in the early to mid 90s on their labels
or when the media use to play those sound bites everyday: "rap music breeds violence in today's youth", repeat it enough and people are bound to start believing it even though we had problems with gangs before gangsta rap music. - Barbrady, on 04/12/2008, -1/+1The back community pretty much turns it's back on the many incredible jazz musicians. If it wasn't for the "white" community many black jazz musicians would have been broke a long time ago.
- inactive, on 04/11/2008, -11/+7Feeble minds are easily amused, and no where do they appear more feeble than in today's black community.
