- datarefuge, on 10/12/2007, -1/+65Holy moly! I know this girl in real life! She's an aquaintance of mine! :) I should note that she's not only a talented beautiful singer, but quite friendly and modest. :)
That's really cool to see her here on digg. :) - orientis, on 10/12/2007, -2/+52Can you tell her that some random guy on the net thinks her eyes are gorgeous. Thank you.
- mindsnare, on 10/12/2007, -5/+47@ghm101
it's actually a link to a website, not a single video, and the videos you watch are music videos. I agree with the topic selection. - ysabellabrave, on 10/12/2007, -1/+33Hi guys. Thoguht I'd sign up and say thank you to all the nice folks bein sweethearts on here. To answer some Qs: I've been singing a year (never could sing before), I do love singing a whole bunch because it is lifting people out of the muck and up into the light, I live in California, and I wish I was part of some campaign because then I wouldn't be flat broke.
And to all the nasty people - I love you anyway. :)
+MaryAnne - tehbear, on 10/12/2007, -1/+33Music expert? What does that even mean?
Everyone knows what they like and I, for one, know that I like her voice more than the ***** pushed at us from such venues as American Idol. - brickbat, on 10/12/2007, -18/+48She's ok but her vocal range isn't broad enough. She is not good enough yet to be a professional...She would need a lot of training to increase her range but she does sing on key - a plus.
- tobsterius, on 10/12/2007, -4/+34I agree, she is very good. However, she'll never make it big. The music industry just isn't interested with people that has any talent these days.
- toosas, on 10/12/2007, -1/+27first of all (about the marketing thing) - I want to say I am not associated with the singer nor the site (i thought I'd link to her profile, but decided the site is more comfortable to browse) in any way. What I did is found the singer 2-3 days ago, checked digg if it was submitted before and posted the story. This is my 2nd story ever submitted and i didn't really expect it to be popular since there are quite a lot of wannabe singers these days.
second - English is not my first tongue nor the last one, so sorry about the '20ies' (it should have been 40's anyway :P)
and third - I really like her songs :)
cheers - sockpuppets, on 10/12/2007, -17/+40Cute and talented. Loved the Shark in Mack the Knife. Digg for you. :)
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+25Some of us may not be "experts," but some of us definitely are professional musicians with many recordings, tours and a few indie contracts under our belts. I also happen to be an audio engineer and producer.
Personally, I think she has a great voice. Solid. She knows what her range is and how to play to her strengths when singing. You may think it's one dimensional and drab, but she's got what makes certain singers great: consistency. - anderss, on 10/12/2007, -11/+33That's quite an amazing voice she's got there. Great selection of songs too!
- 4Runner, on 10/12/2007, -1/+21@darthsnoopy: "Um, is there any clips of her talking? Or messing up? The mixing of music vs. vocals makes it seem lip synched. Might be my speakers (old creative 5.1's). Just seems like an awful lot of songs for her to have sung, at very different vocal ranges.."

I really wish this had an image option sometimes - mindsnare, on 10/12/2007, -5/+22@wamatt
where did he claim to be a music expert? he was simply voicing his opinion.
wanker - pyr0x, on 10/12/2007, -2/+18Wow, I totally agree with Rickard. This girl, miaa rose, is not that great....at all. She sings mostly from her nasal passage, sings flat for 60% of the song and it's not even acapella, and her runs are just the worst. I could only listen to the first 45 seconds before taking my headphones off. ysabella brave's voice is much more rich, has actual in-tune and controlled vibrato, and sounds more natural.
- Rickard, on 10/12/2007, -5/+19"I agree with treelovinhippie. Miaa Rose is far more charismatic, and I like her voice a lot more (I concede that her voice may be less practiced, but it's also more "human" to me). Here's my favorite from her. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oRXuNIsA74w"
You have got to be kidding me. Half of that was out of tune. - brstilson, on 10/12/2007, -0/+13Most likely she would be drowned out in the sea of people that audition. American Idol is rigged. It's a reality show, not a singing competition. Besides, I don't think she really needs their help.
- eaasness, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13She doesn't just sing well, she is very animated. If/when she makes it big it will also be because of her charm and looks.
- NotTheMan, on 10/12/2007, -2/+14I sure hope the RIAA doesn't get her for using copyrighted lyrics....those litigious b*ards can take all the fun and joy out of normal living!
- mrASSMAN, on 10/12/2007, -4/+16did it feel like she was staring into your soul?
- orientis, on 10/12/2007, -4/+15She got reel purdy eyes.
- rubbersoul1967, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10It's actually more like the 40's, 50's and 60's, but whatever. She has a really nice voice. I wish that people would sing these kind of songs on American Idol. It would make the show more watchable.
- arcangelgabriel, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11Golly Heck. I'm in love.
- RobTyree, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10Voice kind of reminds me of Alison Moyet. Having a bit of experience in music production, I'd suggest that everyone keep in mind that this girl is singing completely unprocessed - no chorus, no compression, no vocal effects to clean up her voice that virtually every studio and live performer uses to get the sound that you are used to hearing. I don't know that she is American Idol material, but she is certainly one of the better singers I've seen on YouTube. Plus, I really love the nostalgic theme of most of her song choices - that era fits her talents well.
- joeyc85, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11I hope she makes it big what a great voice
- saifatlast, on 10/12/2007, -0/+920 already ends in an "ie" sound, you don't need to add an extra one.
Just sayin'. - pwallroth, on 10/12/2007, -5/+14That was some creepy *****.
- rwinograd, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10You sing wonderfully and you shouldn't listen to all the people who are bashing you. You have this classic beauty to you and you sing songs that fit with your look very well.
Keep on singing! - malfourmed, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9Her youtube profile has a couple of songs not yet on her homepage such as Sondheim's "Sooner or Later" ... where you can actually see her legs in the video ;-)
http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=ysabellabrave - ysabellabrave, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8oh I'm so glad you enjoyed it! You're very sweet. :) +MaryAnne
- lachlan334, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7I lol'd
- ekrabs, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8This is the first time I've ever commented on digg, but I just have to say that she is so absolutely adorable! Yes, she's pretty and sings rather well for someone who has done it for only one year. But the best part is that she is having so much fun with it that it's just contagious! "Let's Misbehave" is my personal favorite. I've seen that several times already, but every time I see it, I just can't help but giggle along with her.
This is just magical! Thanks, Maryanne. - StarCrusher, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7If "Let's Misbehave" doesn't get to you, you need to have someone go ahead and throw the dirt in on you.
- ziffel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7Is she single? because I just fell in love with her. (tell her not to worry though, I'm not a stalker) :)
- Ignignokt01, on 10/12/2007, -6/+13Are you kidding?
- IAMRaven, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Awesome talent. Awesome stagecraft. Sexy. What else is there!! I think this girl needs to just hope some club owner in Vegas just happens to be surfing here...because I'm sure she would be offered a job real fast. She might even bring that kind of singing back "in style"!!! She's got tons of moxy (if gurls are allowed to have that).
- catbertz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6You have a nice warm voice, and a great vibe that serves you well. Keep having fun with it, and seek live performance opportunities as much as possible. They will help you grow a thousand times faster than a lifetime in the studio. Vocal training would help you polish and strengthen your pipes too.
Just remember, your personality is a huge part of the package, so don't loose that playfulness you currently exude. - cr4ft, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6At least she's better than this guy
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1MWCL4_kszo - KLWinters, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Gorgeous
- Amusing, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6You have a nice voice, and I really enjoy your singing. Keep having fun with it! ^_^
- thushan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6...and mention i totally digg her...
- InternetUser, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7viral marketing? welcome to 2004.
- YellowStar, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6"Keep practising, kid. Someday you'll make it to Carnegie Hall." (Just kidding --- wow, she is absolutely wonderful). I'd pay money to see her concert in Vegas someday.
- datarefuge, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Orientis: I did better. I pointed her to the digg link. She likely read it herself. :)
- kevsedg, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6It's the Twentyies, which ran from nineteen twentyie to nineteen twentyie nineie.
or something. - jonatj, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Loved it.
- tastypastry, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5She looks even better with the dark/black hair.
- Jerky1312, on 10/12/2007, -8/+13@treelovvinhippie
Why paint her fans as trolls for doing their best to get her heard? That is something to encourage and not discourage. I had Esmee Denters and Mia Rose on my subscriptions before subscribing to this girl right now. If it weren't for it being posted here, she wouldn't have gotten more viewers. Esmee has a fan site also, if they are smart, they would try to get that site on digg as well. This girl in particular doesn't seem like an amateur, she seems like she's had musical training in her background. Mia Rose seems to have some training as well. Esmee is the only that seems to have done everything on her own, without any training and coaching. Also, another youtube star is Terra Naomi. Her link...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AlXlhFlHR8A - Bedevere, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5They split but are getting back together this year for a reunion tour. Katherine Whalen (the female singer from SNZ) has a couple of solo albums. I really liked her first one and haven't gotten the latest yet.
- ubhe, on 10/12/2007, -5/+10am i the only person to think her voice isn't that great? she better than some american idol out there but shes not so awesome like some of the people make her out to be.
