- jimpod14, on 08/29/2008, -2/+86while ice cube did go soft, he does have kids that he needs to set a good example for. i honestly can't think of any other reason to do cheesy G-rated movies and I respect him for that.

- jacktheripperr, on 08/29/2008, -6/+39roger daltry and pete townshend (what's left of the who) have more badass in each and every one of their bones than all of these people, even if their like 60 (go ahead and bury me down metallica fans!)

http://img517.imageshack.us/img517/2139/mett195239 ... - benroy, on 08/29/2008, -2/+20By the time 'Chinese Democracy' finally gets released, the Chinese will *actually* have democracy.
Give it up Axl. - IAmTheGuy, on 08/29/2008, -3/+19LL Cool J's most badass moment is without a doubt in "Deep Blue Sea" when he throws a lighter into a natural gas-rich room, thus blowing up a super-shark.
- lukas88, on 08/29/2008, -1/+16That is a thespian, thesbian is not a word.
- zenithmbr, on 08/29/2008, -3/+17he never lost the bottles. he lost his way once he got exceedingly rich.
- mockidol, on 08/29/2008, -2/+14I like the random picture of Tim 'Tool Man' Taylor in there. He was arrested ur coke/ DUIs and *****.
- Akaziel, on 08/29/2008, -1/+13Weezer was never badass.
- zenithmbr, on 08/29/2008, -2/+14as soon as i read the article title all i could think of was james hetfield. sad but true. first five albums were awesome though...
- borez, on 08/29/2008, -3/+14Only five? I can think of many more
- oli35, on 08/29/2008, -0/+11RIP Freddy
- down4twenty, on 08/29/2008, -1/+11chris cornell anyone?
- slicky803, on 08/29/2008, -1/+11I think he means the Rainbow Butt Monkeys
- ericthegreat, on 08/29/2008, -4/+13They could have listed the entire lineup of Metallica
- AndrewDB, on 08/29/2008, -4/+13Didn't they say they say St. Anger was going to be awesome too?
After one listen I threw it out of my car and it's probably ground into I95 now. - xanadu2113, on 08/29/2008, -1/+9and its a pretty good album. at least he's progressed as an artist unlike his contemporaries the rolling stones who still tour playing the same songs they wrote in 1965...or someone like paul mcartney who was once a god then has been mired in 30 years of suckitude
- RawkusVoid, on 08/29/2008, -3/+11Man, call Ice Cube "soft" and he'll punch you in your mouth. In front of his kids...cuz he got set a good example
- Billistic, on 08/29/2008, -0/+7Dude.

You stand corrected. - Cerebral, on 08/29/2008, -0/+7Newstead..... I think he left because he wanted to still play "metal" and had a side project that was doing it because Metallica was not. That's pretty badass if you ask me.
Also Kirk hasn't lost his way. He's never had a say in the band and he can still play so how did he lose his way.
Lars + James... so sad. While watching Some Kind of Monster (which I only recently did) I just wanted to beat the ***** out of both of them and tell them to get in the studio and take all your ***** out on the music and not "hide" your feelings and be such pussies.
You know that their most amazing stuff was probably when they were pissed off so much and they just went into the studio and put the anger out through the strings. COME ON GUYS!!! - whatthefu, on 08/29/2008, -0/+7Kid Rock!!!
(just kidding he is absolutely awful) - Gatesophile, on 08/29/2008, -0/+7NIN makes everything better though.
- weister42, on 08/29/2008, -0/+7But momma said he's gonna knock you out!
- gdonald, on 08/29/2008, -1/+8Yup, it’s ***** sad about James. I blame Bob Rock.
I’m an old school Metallica fan. I’d absolutely love another great Metallica album.. something like Ride the Lightening or Master of Puppets. But I think those days are over. - Ne007, on 08/29/2008, -1/+8ever since they started naming their albums and songs after things you can eat...like spaghetti incident and chicken dinner and the like...
- stillasleep00, on 08/29/2008, -1/+8It's so bad*** to use asterisks these days.
- LemonChicken, on 08/29/2008, -2/+8Jesus Christ. Where is he?
Total wuss now... - siggyfawn, on 08/29/2008, -5/+11Wow, these people finally grew up and got some perspective and this guy thinks they've "lost their way."
- jonmac, on 08/29/2008, -1/+7Article dugg for thinking "thesbianism" is a word.
- MistrBrownstone, on 08/29/2008, -0/+6In my own little world I like to think this is not true.
Steven Adler can't stay out of rehab, that's pretty rock n' roll.
Slash drank so much that he has an automatic pacemaker in his heart that shocks him at random while he's playing onstage. Not to mention he jams with EVERYONE: he's played on every album released worldwide since 1987. OK, that's a slight exaggeration, but there is a lot of them.
Duff is like a ninja or something, and he is also married to Susan Holmes: http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/wrestli ...
And Axl? I think Chinese Democracy is really the code name for an evil plan he's working on with Dr. Evil to hold the world ransom for 1 MILLION dollars.
"Where's Izzy?" - MrM4nager, on 08/29/2008, -1/+7How about Flavor Flav. Public Enemy? Come on.
- negativefx, on 08/29/2008, -1/+7i actually feel sorry for beerock :( it's a shame that he/she has been so sheltered to think what's-their-faces were ever badass.
- Cerebral, on 08/29/2008, -0/+5But they haven't lost their way (IMO) so why are you bringing them up?
Your comment confuses me. - Ozzsanity, on 08/29/2008, -0/+5I guess image is everything to some clowns. Ozzy is a legend and because he let us into his wacky life and it did not live up to the image of a Satan worshiper that fed people who live on image only, he is no longer one of the best entertainers ever??? Anybody who has seen several Ozzy shows knows the power that man can manipulate and then turn a crowd into a frenzied madhouse. After seeing over 25 Ozzy shows I can say that after EVERY show the people leave with smiles on their faces and most soaked in sweat from the KAOS that is an Ozzy show. He is Down To Earth and a most humble man even after being recognized as one of the founding fathers of hard rock music.
Ozzy is not a bad ass because he is a caring, loving man who truly loves his fans and is not afraid to expose the true man even if it does not live up to the image of those who so desperately need the image to be bad ass and cool. - krisscofield, on 08/29/2008, -0/+5Sinead actually made a pretty "badass" reggae album about 3 years ago. I'm not a fan at all of her other stuff, but I don't see how her differing beliefs and personal activism makes her "lose her way". She hasn't changed or been in any crap films. If anything, she's stuck to her guns her entire career. ***** list, buddy.
- rayfiend, on 08/29/2008, -0/+5Yeah, it;s kinda like a lot of these guys are penalized for growing up. It happens.
- Cerebral, on 08/29/2008, -0/+4I shed a tear when I saw James on this list. He belongs after watching Some Kind of Monster but still...
That being said, I still have hope that DM will be a great album. Not Master through ...and Justice great but maybe a step back towards the Black Album which in their career, is a great step. -
