The numbers (from the first day, per the article) will be based purely on how many albums the label decides to ship out to stores. Ever hear of an album that "shipped platinum"? His second single, All Falls Down, was about the problems with materialism. His biggest single was about his love for Jesus. He's even had a single about blood diamonds from Sierra Leone. Sometimes you hip-hop haters make your generalizations/stereotypes way to easy to attack. You very rarely know anything about what you're criticizing except for some clip you heard on the radio or video on MTV (which mostly plays the worst music of ALL genres). And then people like me wonder how far your stereotyping extends into other facets of life...
