http://audio.sxsw.com/2006/mp3/Birdy_Nam_Nam-Abbesses.mp3 - Tricky909, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8One of the best videos of turntablism i've seen. :)
- LycoLoco, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7And guess what? His title and description draws the reader in more, because if you have no clue who Birdy Nam Nam is, nobody is going to care, as opposed to "4 DJs at once (Video)" lets you know exactly what you're going to be seeing. Write better headlines, get more diggs.

- Delphion, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7sweet song
- ersnyder, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7That was amazing.
- bolteddown, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5two words: better title
- KissTheRing, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5I stand corrected
- tw0bit, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6yeah, it happens to everyone buddy, suck it up
- seest, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4These guys have an ear for music - they are very good musicians. Nice video...
- weareglass, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I found these guys on eMusic last week and their stuff is great but I had no idea how cool it looked live!
- justinjacobs, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Care to explain why? Looks pretty real to me.
- Mitijea, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Yes, it is a common term for this type of music, at least within the community.
- LycoLoco, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Ya know, DJing is one of those things that, hell yeah, it sounds good to just listen to, but unless you're actually seeing it, you really don't get the full effect. This video is definitely one of those instances. Ahh, DJing, the art of creating music out of what is already music.
Excellent video guys. Now find me more! - alej744, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5Not in my Mac OS X Dictionary it isn't.
- caresieb, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1amazing turntablism...
I'm a DJ and I can't imagine how hard this would be - BlueBoiks, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Can you say "post to digg and get ad revenue".
- aptget79, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I swear I posted this yesterday on #nanog on efnet ... and what do you know its on digg. These guys are awesome.!!!!
- grandpajesus, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Great video
The guy in red is lil mike, hes good - kurupt, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I guess it pays to submit your news stories after a new version of Digg launches.
http://digg.com/music/Scratch_Music:_Using_a_turntable_as_a_musical_instrument - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Its not fake, i think the video is like just out of sinc with the audio slightly.
Amazing stuff there, best ive even seen i would say even - skifreak107, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Very cool
- anagoge, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2This is indeed very cool. However, have you noticed that since the launch of Digg V3, stories which are worthy of 1,000+ Diggs are now not getting that much attention due to the categorisation of stories? As I digg this, the story only has 299 diggs, yet before V3, this would easily get 1,000.
- bndo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2There's more vids and tour dates on their site

(so far only US show is Central Park in NY on 7/16) - paulwilde, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I loved it. It's now in my iTunes library. :)
- Dorkbot101, on 07/15/2009, -0/+1As a DJ I can appreciate the skill and talent that goes into these sorts of products. The cues are very tight and it had a high degree of 'musicality' to it.
as to the poster above, if you're going to do stuff like that, misewell get endorsements. Those were all Numark TT's with Ortofon cartridges. - Klax, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Verry cool.
I can't help but be pretentious though and note that they were using Numark TTs...why? Seems kind of strange like maybe Numark sponsored the group? Anyone know? - datagram, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I bet you were sitting.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2The cuts are pretty basic but when put together it sounds awesome.
- webfiji, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Sounds like pieces of Requiem for a Dream: Remixed.

I recommend checking out C2C (DMC team world champions 2003-2005) on youtube also. - tw0bit, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Actually i posted it right before the turn over
- PhilH, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I never even realised this level of musical complexity was possible using turntables. The fact that there's 4 of them probably helps!
- gothamcityprjct, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Looks like they're using final scratch/serato. Which would make this easier than it...
Never mind. I'm not going to hate on it, because the track is damned catchy and anything that gets Turntablism out there is important:
Though, on that note, it's not uncommon for 4 DJs to get down on turntables and put something together. Not that uncommon at all... - JohnnyRad, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0watch Dj shadow in tune and on time dvd bonus disc for a way better 4 man group.
- caresieb, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Ortofon has a banner up there so I am sure they are being sponsered by atleast Ortofon. A GOOD numark table wouldnt be too bad if they were paying the right price but everyone who knows, knows that Tech 12's are the best out there, and the standard. I would be willing to bet numark handed out some good money....
- swyterw, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Not sure if numark sponsosred them. Would be a good match -- if they aren't already, numark should jump on 'em.
Honestly, i find the numark TTX-1s to be excelllllent for 'musical' turntablism. Sure, Technics are always going to have the purist vote, but the pitch lock and + or - 50% allows for some really creative stuff. - seest, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I just saw that they are performing at Roskilde Festival friday afternoon - damn, not kool to know living in Denmark near Roskilde and not being able to buy tickets 'cause they are out of stock......
- guapito, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0it is turntablism go to DMC.com for more team vids. does that sound like the punch out track to anyone else?
- dazed.duck, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Audio seems to be out of sync but still an amazing vid.
- Bcalibur, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Is the guy in red the captain? Like in star wars... wow that was super-nerdy of me :p
Good vid. ^Agree with above poster - mpilone, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0PqvDwBOp9Y
- 4NDr01D, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0eh its ok, besides the presentation of the song, its rather boring piece, just a loop with parts coming in and out, not much progression. after 30 seconds the novelty wears out. if it were 30 turntablists as an orchestra that might be something else!
- 4NDr01D, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0s'ok
- bluemeany271828, on 10/12/2007, -7/+1i thought it sucked
- KissTheRing, on 10/12/2007, -9/+2turntablism? I'm no DJ, but is that a word?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -11/+2big deal. most dj's have little talent and you'd be better off listening to an ipod.
- iSamurai, on 10/12/2007, -13/+2HEY GUESS WHAT! : http://digg.com/music/Birdy_Nam_Nam_-_Absesses
Cool.
A dupe gets front page while mine gets nothing.
Oh, and I linked to the ORIGINAL source too. - tellman, on 10/12/2007, -14/+1looks fake
