ever since Billie Joe started wearing eyeliner theyve been *****. - Munceenuts, on 11/04/2009, -12/+132Buried for suggesting Nickelback were good at one point.
- fluidfoundation, on 11/04/2009, -8/+77Nickelback is the herpes of music. Just when you thought it went away, it comes back exactly the same as it did before.
- Jaydo, on 11/04/2009, -9/+67What the *****, Wu-Tang Clan?
WU-TANG CLAN AIN'T NOTHIN' TO ***** WITH!
Also confused about Bloc Party... They're still new. - Gravey9, on 11/04/2009, -4/+60That and all this political ***** they are into.
Bring back the dookie days of just gettin stoned, masturbating, and...whatever else the album was about... - Awwzm, on 11/03/2009, -3/+57Where's Creed?
- awtripp, on 11/03/2009, -16/+68No. The only band that I 100% agree with is Nickelback. The others are debatable. Metallica's latest album, Death Magnetic, was a million times better than St. Anger and they can still shred in concert. The other's I don't really care about. Well, Oasis can quit.
- Lucas123, on 11/03/2009, -3/+50In the immortal words of Neil Young, "It's better to burn out than it is to rust."
Wait... Neil Young's still touring. Never mind. - HeadInJarMan, on 11/03/2009, -10/+49Dugg for Nickleback.
Nickleback, get the ***** out. - lindsayjc, on 11/04/2009, -2/+38Bloc Party? Huh? Guess I'm out o the loop.....
- Drepon, on 11/03/2009, -0/+32Didn't they already quit?
- kevL0CK, on 11/03/2009, -0/+31they're trying to cash in before we… *yaaaaawwwwwnnn*…. who were we talking about? i forgot.
- SpinkickFolly, on 11/04/2009, -1/+30Buried for Bloc Party being on there.
A Weekend in the City is a great ***** album. - Apex3, on 11/04/2009, -6/+35A million times better than St Anger doesn't mean it's good.
- jakereilly, on 11/04/2009, -1/+30I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that 95% of the comments will be about nickelback.
Just saying. - RiperSnifle, on 11/04/2009, -1/+27I actualy know a guy named Nick Kielback. Feel sorry for him.
- DevilToo, on 11/03/2009, -12/+36I agree with Nickleback & Oasis. Is Aerosmith still "rocking"? I assumed they were dead.
- indieradio, on 11/04/2009, -0/+20Anyone going to point out that this list is from a F$%#ing year ago? Does anyone actually read these things before Digging?
- Munceenuts, on 11/04/2009, -6/+26Weezer.
Proof: http://stereogum.com/archives/new_weezer_feat_lil_ ... - RegalBegal, on 11/04/2009, -1/+20Popularity != Quality
- bubba9999, on 11/04/2009, -1/+20Creed is on The Office.
- ironnick, on 11/03/2009, -11/+28dugg for U2 and Nickelback. I was hoping to see those names before i even opened the article.
- thegamingguy, on 11/03/2009, -1/+18Any surprise that 3 of those bands has their own Guitar Hero game and U2 is trying to get their own Rock Band?
- fluidfoundation, on 11/04/2009, -4/+21Although I love the older stuff.... 311, time to hang it up guys.
- Marlorn, on 11/04/2009, -12/+27U2 still knows what they're doing. Tell that to the 96,000 that showed up to the Rose Bowl last week (and the 10 million YouTube streamers).
- tablunket, on 11/04/2009, -0/+15they're from across the pond. i disagree with them being on here. each album is vastly different than the previous. each grows on you over time. love them to death.
- openandshut, on 11/04/2009, -6/+21I agree with many of these, but Ryan Adams?! I've enjoyed most all of his albums since heartbreaker.
Where's Fall Out Boy? - TheScogg, on 11/04/2009, -1/+15Yeah, but that old mule is still kicking harder than ever. If this isn't bad ass, I don't know what is :
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DSCUC-wElkM
They guy's amazing. Heck, in this video, 64 years old, he's bouncing around the stage enjoying every moment of his own music. His own backing band is just going through the motions, not even daring to show as much energy as Young is. They know better than to bring a candle to a floodlight festival. He may look old and washed up, but remember : "There's more to a picture than meets the eye."
Okay, that was cheesy...but it's true. - DCdigging, on 11/04/2009, -2/+14Are you suggesting that Fall Out Boy was ever great?
- ricksite, on 11/04/2009, -1/+13I like Nickelback from way back in the day...before they started a band and stuff. I wish they would go back to that.
- diggaligg, on 11/04/2009, -1/+13Oasis already disbanded.
- GRat, on 11/04/2009, -0/+12The quote is actually "It's better to burn out than to fade away." Kurt Cobain made it even more famous when he used the quote in his suicide letter. Kurt Cobain certainly didn't overstay his welcome.
- fluidfoundation, on 11/04/2009, -1/+12hmm... -5 diggs... looks like there's 5 Nickelback fans out there. Wait, how many people are in that band?
- fluidfoundation, on 11/04/2009, -0/+11a man can dream.
- PlatinumOGKush, on 11/04/2009, -12/+22Hate me and them if you please, but Dave Matthews Band is phenomenal live, especially with Tim Reynolds on guitar. Under the Table and Dreaming is a tremendous studio album, as well.
- brd6644, on 11/04/2009, -8/+18Death Magnetic is probably Metallica's best album in the past 15 years, by a wide margin. I definitely don't think they've overstayed their welcome.
- WhoDoneIt, on 11/04/2009, -4/+14I'm pretty sure they'd fill the Rose Bowl with that many people for the special olympics too.
- camilos007, on 11/04/2009, -1/+10U2 love money??!?! How dare they!
- fuwath, on 11/04/2009, -0/+8Anna Molly?
- Apex3, on 11/04/2009, -1/+9Of course U2 is trying, they love money. But no I'm not surprised by any of that
- EntropyFan, on 11/04/2009, -0/+8Yes, Neil Young is still working on burning out.
And as long as he is so dedicated to it, I'll keep listening. - R3publican, on 11/04/2009, -0/+8What's the difference?
- Akaziel, on 11/04/2009, -0/+8And the month before that. And the month before that. And the month before THAT. It's kind of a regular thing for them.
- Grommy, on 11/04/2009, -1/+9I dunno man, the blue album and pinkerton were so good that i'm okay with weezer ***** on my dreams and eating my dog.
- justinlarsen, on 11/04/2009, -2/+10I don't think Nickelback was ever welcome.
- Joest23, on 11/04/2009, -2/+9Aerosmith should have quit after Permanent Vacation. That was there last album of any kind of quality and even that pales in comparison to Toys in the Attic and Rocks.
- dashdingo, on 11/04/2009, -2/+9Here's a time line of Billie Joe I made the other day:
http://i38.tinypic.com/2uxw6q9.jpg
Point proven. - jworms, on 11/04/2009, -0/+7greenday should be added to that list. long live dookie!
- camilos007, on 11/04/2009, -1/+8And for a quickie with your mom.
- BaronVonTito, on 11/04/2009, -0/+7I still call myself a Weezer fan, and I think the first single from the new album is their best song in years. But that one is just *****. If it's satire it missed the mark, if its not it still missed the mark somehow.
