- Rndm_Tngnt, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I still think that Episode three sucked.
The Phantom Menace and Clones sucking a lot harder does not, in my book, give any advantage to Revenge. It still suffers from the same flat characterization as the first prequels and it continues to exist in this sort of ultra-sterile-even-for-a-space-fantasy-movie world. The fall of the most powerful being in the galaxy was a result of him believing an old man (whom he new to be the lord of all evil) who told him that his girlfriend was definitely probably going to die. I daresay even Milton would think that a bit of a cop out.
Even the Sith Lord had to be taken aback at Anakin's quick turn. He went from "I must stop this evil from destroying the council, even if they don't respect me" to the wholesale slaughter of children without even the slightest internal conflict. That's not tragedy, that's sociopathism.
And let's not even wonder as to the peculiarities of Padme's anatomy that allow her to give vaginal birth to twins with her knees together. - billflu, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Haha, I'm probably the only one who comes to this site that hasn't seen this movie yet.
- sithkhan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Man, I will buy this, but only to end the cycle. I will be free of George Lucas and Star Wars for the rest of my life. Episodes I - III confirmed for me that Lucas needed others to guide him, like Kasdan, Kershner, Brackett, et. al. I could nit-pick specific incongruities and plot holes, but I won't. This is the end.
Now, if someone could get Robert Jordan to complete the WoT, I would no longer be tied to this mortal coil. C'mon RJ!
I have seen the end of the Jedi, the victory of the Red Sox, and graduated college. What's left? - Charlotte_Web, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1What deleted scene could they possibly add to this train-wreck of a movie that would want to make me relive the horror of watching it? :-(
- Jeebugorn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0i did grow up with the original trilogy. i think this one has a SLIGHT edge over empire for best movie of the series. i'm tellin ya, my squad went to see the movie and my friend was always more of a trekkie and never liked star wars...but when the younglings asked anakin for help and then he ignites his lightsaber....he was converted to a star wars fan from that point.
- meyerj88, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0^^^^ same feeling. However I'm definitely going to buy this DVD. I thought this was the best movie of the Star Wars Films. (Let the bashing begin) But this is probably because I didn't grow up with the original trilogy.
- antoniojvr, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Definitely. I almost felt cheated when they talked about Qui-Gon at the end almost like an afterthought.
- Jessimo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Deleted scenes? Star Wars?? Someone pinch me!! But in all seriousness, this looks pretty sweet, and I agree with aplardi, they should get the qui-gon scene in this.
- supernaut, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0does anyone else here want to see the destruction of the jedi temple in all its glory?? make it five minutes at least, please.
(yeah, my hopes are low) - oldgeek, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I was there from the beginning, And i know Episode III is the best out of all of them. OK you can bash now.
- jediboytj, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I love Episode III, its definatly near the top of the best star wars films for me... I hope they include all the 'extra' deleted footage that was used in the video game, and have the ability to play it in the movie, rather than only viewing the deleted scenes one by one...
either way, they got a sale from me! - jamiejamez, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I wonder if Interactive Menus will be listed as a Special Feature???
- antoniojvr, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Star Trek's "KHAAAANNN!" was cool. Vader's "NOOOO!!!" (and not to mention his little Frankenstein moves when we got off the table) sucked!
- aplardi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0As long as they add the Qui-Gon Jinn scene in that they took out, I'm happy.
- mikeon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0the "NOOOOOO" was just super lame, it was bearable until that part then I just "ugh." DO NOT WANT!
- Abraxis, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0So the question is: is this THE dvd for deleted scenes or will there be yet another one released in a year? Did Lucas get it right the first time or will he be re-releasing this every few years with slight changes?
- antoniojvr, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0 billflu, don't watch it! keep the fantasy alive!
- Flynn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0What about the scene that shows Yoda get in his spaceship to fly to Dagobah? Or the scene that shows Yoda picking Dagobah out of all the planets he could go to? Or what about the scene where Yoda picks the location of his hut on Dagobah. Revenge of the Sith didn't connect enough dots for me!!!! Please, Lucas, add more scenes that show me what I already know!
- b15fliptop, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0My favorite part of the article: Tippy Bushkin. It sounds like a name that Lucas came up with for one of the Ewoks...
- antoniojvr, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I think theforce.net hit the nail on the head in describing the prequels: The first two only had about an hour of plot stretched out to two hours and the third one had 4 hours of plot compressed into two hours. Either way, the viewers are the ones that end up loosing.
- Mpwns, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0vader's "NOOOOOO!" is a lot like kirk's "KHANNN!". could be a inside joke. or lucas paying homage to star trek 2. because both those movies came out almost around the same time.
- Hodglim, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I was actually quite enjoying EP3 until the scene where the wookies come swinging into screen making Tarzan noises!!! It was downhill all the way from there.
- antoniojvr, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0As a die hard fan of the Star Wars movies, it is sad to see what Lucas did to them because his ego would not allow him to let someone else write or direct. I think the pinnacle of this is Vader's "Noooooo!!!!" at the end of the film. What was that all about?
