- duggtodeath, on 11/03/2009, -0/+40They need to modernize him with a shades, some bling and air force ones! And a cellphone. No! And iPhone! And tons of CGI and once-respectable actors phoning in their lines. And can we get Will Smith to do the soundtrack? How can we link this to twitter? The kids love that *****!
/movie studio executive - elliotys, on 11/03/2009, -1/+41Jessica Rabbit was grade-A kindergarten fap material .
- KrisStrong, on 11/03/2009, -2/+31I hated this movie.... a Toon actually did kill my brother.
- RealmDown, on 11/03/2009, -0/+28^^^ Does not apply to Jessica
- stainboy, on 11/03/2009, -1/+29Public: Hollywood, you don't want to make a Roger Rabbit sequel.

Public: No, you really don't.
Hollywood: We do.

Public: You DO.
Hollywood: We DON'T.
Public: You DO!
Hollywood: We DON'T, and we'll never ever make a Roger Rabbit sequel ever! Jeez! Get over it! - milsorgn, on 11/02/2009, -1/+27Bad idea. The movie stands alone, no need to water it down with a ***** sequel so many years later.
- peestandingup, on 11/03/2009, -0/+20We at the network want a rabbit with attitude. He's edgy, he's "in your face." You've heard the expression "let's get busy"? Well, this is a rabbit who gets "biz-zay!" Consistently and thoroughly.
- cathead, on 11/03/2009, -1/+20I just don't believe it. I won't believe it. I can't believe it. I shan't believe it.
- eddygoombah, on 11/03/2009, -0/+16Roger Rabbit 2: The Electric Boogaloo
- Rockkybox, on 11/03/2009, -0/+13CGI would kill this faster than season 2 killed heroes
- L0NER, on 11/03/2009, -0/+13i hope they don't go that way, but damn, you bitter
- chuckDontSurf, on 11/03/2009, -1/+13And we definitely need a scene where he raps!
- Eupatorus, on 11/03/2009, -3/+13Zemeckis: "Hey! I've got an idea! Let's ***** up another classic film with a ***** sequel!"
- 1x253, on 11/03/2009, -0/+8
Good luck without Bob Hoskins. If they are really going to make it without destroying the legacy they'll need another really strong actor in his place. He's just so ***** good (beginning at 4:20):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eosrujtjJHA - PowderedToasty, on 11/03/2009, -2/+9They should make Roger look aaaaaalmost real but just off enough in a demonic possessed sort of way to scare the ***** out of everybody.
- hydroplane, on 11/03/2009, -0/+7I feel we should rastify him by 10% or so.
- Parabol, on 11/03/2009, -1/+8Digg is broken, I can only click the thumbs up button once.
- T8erT0T, on 11/03/2009, -0/+6Because a sequel, especially after the original's long dormancy, has the capacity to take an environment, a character, a situation, a crisis, something you enjoyed from the film, etc., and run them all into the ***** ground.
Too many examples to list. - Hero0fTime, on 11/03/2009, -0/+6Did he talk... JUST. LIKE. THIIIIIIIIIIS?
- geodebug, on 11/03/2009, -0/+6That's fine but you asked how it affects the film and I responded for those of us without amazing sequel-blinders.
- geodebug, on 11/03/2009, -2/+8This really has to be explained?
1) You love a movie
2) You get excited by a sequel and it has decent buzz
3) You see the sequel and your view of the characters/story is shattered
4) While you can still enjoy the first movie it is impossible to disassociate it completely from the sequel.
Take The Matrix:
Can you really watch scenes from the first one where they talk about Zion and not remember how insipid and boring it was? Before the sequel you had to imagine what the last real human city would be and it was pretty cool. The sequel ruined it by filling it with future-shock hippies, bad rave music, boring politics, and repurposed James Cameron's vertical lifters (http://www.mwctoys.com/images/review_loader_1.jpg% ...
- athinnes, on 11/03/2009, -0/+5There are no original ideas left in Hollywood
- glitchfactor, on 11/03/2009, -0/+5ANOTHER remake/sequel.......big Hollywood surprise there *rolls eyes*
- boozedrinker, on 11/03/2009, -1/+5I'm being sarcastic, people.
- geodebug, on 11/03/2009, -0/+4OK grandpa, we'll all stay off your lawn too.
Lots of great movies come out each year in every genre. Just have to work a bit to find some of them because they may not play at the local multiplex. - Elranzer, on 11/03/2009, -0/+4It'll be CGI and it will suck.
Also, it will be that special brand of Robert Zemeckis CGI (Polar Express, Beowulf, A Christmas Carol) so it will be extra ***** suck with hot sauce. - KrisStrong, on 11/03/2009, -2/+6I hope this screenplay goes into The Dip.
- geodebug, on 11/03/2009, -0/+4Prepare for lots of cultural references that will be out of date by the time it hits DVD.
- Praelior, on 11/03/2009, -0/+3I loved Who Framed Roger Rabbit, it is easily one of my favorite movies. I just hope that they can get Warner Bros and Disney on board like the last film. How many times will you see Bugs Bunny and Mickey Mouse in the same movie in the same scene?
- Elranzer, on 11/03/2009, -0/+3If you want more Roger Rabbit, just watch the DVD's special features. It has 4 more Roger Rabbit cartoons that played in theaters before Disney's live-action movies, such as Honey We Blew Up the Kid and Freaky Friday.
- EtherealSOC, on 11/03/2009, -0/+3Oh no he didn't!
- sputnikv, on 11/03/2009, -0/+3i hope they try to maintain the hand drawn look rather than do cgi in the round modeling
- T8erT0T, on 11/03/2009, -0/+3Plot: Toontown has become an animated Detroit. Eddie Valient's alcohol abuse has caused him to live out in the streets, Dolores leaves him. Jessica Rabbit is turning tricks. Roger can't find because the world watches Pixar now. Judge Maroon comes back from the dead. They join forces once more to save the day.
"Gold Jerry! Gold!"
/godsaveusall - Kireblade, on 11/03/2009, -1/+3They better bring back Mario Mario.
- boozedrinker, on 11/03/2009, -3/+5YEA...They need to take Robger and make him a 3D CGI cartoon...those 2D ones are so last century...
- evergrim, on 11/04/2009, -0/+2Made me think of the recently released S. Darko.
*shudder* - 8085ta, on 11/03/2009, -0/+2There's plenty of inspiration there for the next few Orange ads...
- Jektal, on 11/03/2009, -1/+3Aren't you too cool for the internet?
- tgc1, on 11/03/2009, -0/+2Anyone else notice the fake outside backdrop? That was a little weird. Also, I used to watch the heck out of this movie when I was a kid. And was was said -- Jessica rabbit was grade A fap material. Also, did he just say "Disney Regime" -- Makes you think about how bad those people are running that corp.
Thing is, I don't know that we need another movie. I mean didn't you see the ending? They all lived happy. What the hell more is there to add to the story? Oh and...
"IT'S DIPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!" - duggtodeath, on 11/03/2009, -0/+2It's okay, you got my digg :)
- whosmav, on 11/03/2009, -0/+2That's what I'm saying, albeit tongue in cheek. I'm just jaded.
*sigh* - Darthmaul4114, on 11/03/2009, -0/+2Dear Robert Zemeckis,
Do us a favor and DONT use mocap. Thank you.
-The world - rocknog, on 11/03/2009, -0/+2@geodebug
Actually, as for myself, when I went back and rewatched the original Matrix, I actually enjoyed it even more, because the sequels made me forget how awesome the original was. And I know plenty of people who feel the same way - yeah, maybe the memory is tarnished, but when you actually watch the thing, you become aware that your memories were tarnished and thus it ends up greatly exceeding your expectations. - MazeBot, on 11/03/2009, -0/+1ohh, darn these country restrictions. im in uk! and no im not in the mood to bother launching hotspot or what ever other program i have. and the english are complaining that having an European president will relinquish more of its power to a Europe. I JUST WANT DAMN WORLD GOVERNMENT. will make my surfing much easier. plus would fix the whole electronics having to be different for differnt regional power supplies.
- Elranzer, on 11/03/2009, -0/+1And I want a toilet seat made out of gold but it's just not in the cards.
- DAC1138, on 11/03/2009, -0/+1Digg is getting a little slow. This was reported yesterday by aint it cool.
- Elranzer, on 11/03/2009, -0/+1No Disney sequel has been good.
- gizmo12688, on 11/03/2009, -1/+2I kinda like that WW2 Toon idea.
